Alena giggled. "Probably. When we have her lying on the floor or on the bed, she's always moving. She can't crawl or roll over or anything yet, that's still at least a month away. But she does what she can."

She reached over and used a corner of the blanket to mop up a bit of drool that trailed from the corner of Shiloh's mouth.

"Did you know you used to be smaller than she is now?" she murmured softly. "Back when you had just one tail. Your ada told me so."

Alena nodded. "And you had to learn everything, just like her. How to walk, how to talk ... how to smile and roll over and everything. All babies do. Elven babies are usually bigger than humans - or others of your world. At least, that is my understanding. But that's because we are a taller people, in any case."

Shiloh yawned and began to fuss ever so slightly, but Alena made no move to take her back yet. There was no need - if she got fussier, she would, or if Miyuki wanted her to; but for the moment she was still calm enough.

Alena nodded again. "Probably. We've been out here a few hours. I can take her back if you'd like, though I think you're doing just fine.

They had come out here right after breakfast to watch Aethos ride - something he truly enjoyed - and they hadn't bothered going back in because they simply hadn't grown tired of it.

"If you like," Alena agreed readily, reaching over to take the baby from Miyuki again.

Once back in Alena's arms, Shiloh began to fuss a bit more. Being passed off once was one thing, but playing hot potatoes - and being the potato - was another!

Alena only smiled. "I may have to take her inside to feed," she murmured. "And give her a chance to stretch a bit. She's probably getting uncomfortable in there."

"Oh probably," Alena nodded, rocking Shiloh ever so gently in her arms. "She's been stuck in there for hours. Though it's also possible she may be in need of a change."

Again, the having been stuck in there for hours.

"Yes," Alena nodded, smiling. "I'll take her inside, then."

She put the infant to her shoulder and stood up. Elros looked up at her and asked her if she was going inside, and when she nodded he rose as well.

"We will see you three later," he smiled at Earendil, Lin and Miyuki. "Until then."

And he and Alena headed out.

Earendil stretched a bit. "It's up to you," he replied. "I've been here a year already, since before Alena even became pregnant. So it's up to you who you want to talk to."

He paused, then added, "Though if you're planning on waiting for Aethos and Elberon, you might be waiting a while. They usually make a full day of it once they get going."
