I mean, I was fairly indiscriminate about who I told to shut up* and get in line, but it helps that I really don't think a lot of y'all consider me as a friend (and vice versa, to be brutally honest). But that kinda helps. You really have to challenge yourself to be isolated from any personal influence if you're gonna try it.

-Dessynea- So would the cap include the captain?
I like the number five for the number of mods including the captain. That way it is odd if we did do a vote and I think three is too few. I like 5, or a group of 3 full-time Rec Room mods, and four rotating Mafia mods.

I'd volunteer to be a mod, but I'm not sure how good I'd be. I usually tend to be impartial or at least try to be, and I prefer to hear all sides of the story should a conflict arise.
If nothing else, I nominate LPS and Allegro.

The thing, sometimes people who are close friends feel betrayed when someone they trust tells them to keep in line. I dunno if we have anyone like that HERE, but it's something I'd like to avoid. Now that I've got three, I feel more comfortable doling out recommendations, so here's three.
Amber, Cookie (if he would like it), and Hobo. I'd add to the Dess and LPS train, but I think they're pretty much solid. xd

Sometimes a carefully worded statement keeps things from getting out-of-hand, though. That could very well be a good way of fixing that problem, no?

I think that it's possible for a mod to be tactful, as you say, while still being able to drop the hammer, but I think it'd work better for the GUILD to have sort of that swiss-army knife type of thing.

I hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure if it's better to have a balanced team of players or a team of balanced players, you know? I feel like I want to say balanced players are better but that the reality is that specialists work more thoroughly.
EDIT: Oh, huh. I guess I hadn't thought about being a mod myself, but if it gets to that point I guess I'd accept. No harm in trying, right?

Zach, I think you or Dess would both make excellent mods, but it might be in your best interest to not BOTH make for a play. To a new member, it might seem like you're trying to make a play at being a power couple, even though everyone here knows you aren't.
