Boy's Name: Ampah
Boy's Personality: Ampah takes his job very, very seriously. He makes it his personal goal to learn everything he can about the area, and also to make it presentable to visitors. When not actively guiding someone, he is skittering about tending to things, like sweeping loose stones off the paths, or trying to get the flowers to grow better. He's rather naive and cublike, and very sociable. Whilst this makes for a good guide, it makes him also a bit of a liability, because he is likely to bounce ahead of his guard, explaining the wonders and beauty of this place. The only time he calms down are when they arrive at the shrine-stones, when his personality almost turns completely around, leaving him quiet and respectful.

Backstory for the group: (they joined the UM as a group)
Makena has been friends with Sethunya and Tendaji for as long as he can remember, and indeed Sethunya can barely remember a time without both of them in her life. Only Tendaji remembers the packmates that they have lost, and being the eldest he looked after the pair of them as best he knew how. As a trio, they did everything together, though their opinions often differed. Makena found the world to be a wonderful place, and was forever trying to bring the solemn Tendaji and beautiful Sethunya to smile and laugh at the world with him. Tendaji was much more serious and focused, intent on surviving and often frustrated by the playful dog’s antics. Sethunya was patient and mothering at times, and a silly child at others, delighting always in their companionship. Being the eldest, Tendaji taught both of them to hunt and track in the way his father had taught him, and after the rocky start they rarely went hungry when they worked together.
But their teamwork was threatened when they began to reach adulthood. Sethunya was the thing they had in common despite all their many differences, and both dogs had fallen deeply in love with her. Ever since that day, they have always competed to be her ‘favorite’, but she has always valued both of them more than anyone in the whole world. It tore Sethunya up to see them fight, and it was worse that they were fighting over her. They began to pester her, to demand that she chose which of them she liked best, and the poor girl feared that if she picked one the other would leave and her family would be broken. She couldn’t possibly choose one over the other…so she chose both.
This was met with a good deal of confusion, and while they were a bit surprised she was eventually able to persuade them both to see things her way. Given how utterly besotted the pair of them were with her, it wasn’t all that difficult for Sethunya to persuade them. And she does love them both, more than anything in the world. The attention might make her a bit of a spoiled princess at times, but she’s usually not as selfish as one might expect a pretty female with two boys who’d do anything for her.
Their teamwork has begun to improve again, and while both Tendaji and Makena are still fairly competitive in regards to garnering her affections, she could not begin to compare them with each other. They are, as she always argued, far too different for that. Tendaji is strong and wise, and she’s always viewed him as her protector. With him she feels safe and though his affections are quiet and reserved, she could never feel threatened or lonely when he is nearby. Makena is sweet and funny, forever showering her with pretty words and gleeful attention. He is a bit less than responsible and though she knows he would stand up for her in an instant, the poor boy would probably get his tail chewed right off. Still, there is no gray cloud that he can’t paint in silver, and her smile is never hard to find when he is nearby. Together, Sethunya had discovered, they created what could only be defined as the perfect made. Protector and playmate, responsible and rejoicing, steadfast and sweet… what more could any girl want?
What about a good place to raise the family, it is, after all, sure to be huge. It was around the time that Sethunya decided that she wanted to join a pack that they began to hear whispers on the wind of the Ulili-Mlindaji. Tendaji explained to the curious Makena what a ‘shrine’ was, remembering the legends his mother used to tell of the gods, and reminded the pair of the stories he’d tried to recall to share with them when they were all still young. The dark colored dog was intrigued by the idea of a place where all could come to pay their respects to those who watched over them always, and Sethunya was eager to see more of those in the fantastic tales her protector had told when she was little. As for Makena…well, if Sethunya was happy then he was ecstatic as always.
Together they traveled to see these shrines, and were a bit surprised by how quiet it seemed to be. How peaceful. Makena promptly broke the quiet a bit, ever the enthusiastic one to Sethunya’s amusement, but they all desired to see more of this place, as they explained to the guards they’d met. It was Sethuya’s idea to pay a visit to the shrine dedicated to the goddess of love, the ideal that had always guided her heart and soul in every decision. Led by one of the guides, the trio were amazed at the work that had gone into this place, each stone lovingly placed, each mark made by a devoted paw. Hungry for more, Sethuya asked if they might stay here, to help this place that gave life to the legends her pack had shared with her through Tendaji’s memories. They made a good team then as they do now, working together in flawless precision to provide sustenance for the bodies of those who sought to feed the mind and souls of those who sought something more than just this world alone.

Keeper of Somewhere
Girl's Name: Nura
Girl's Assignment Location: Fertility
Why does she want to be there?: Nura's reasons for her chosen assignment location are a bit more personal than one might think. Nura has tried to birth children three times, and each attempt has ended in heartbreak. The cubs were lost to her before they had time to mature within her womb. After her most recent loss, Nura caught wind of the Ulili-Mlindaji Shrines and decided to make the long trek there. It took many days for the determined lioness to make her way there, and upon her arrival the first thing she did was seek out the shrine of Fertility so that she might leave an offering and spend some time praying.
What she found upon her arrival of the shrine upset Nura. It hadn't been kept as tidy as it should have. The entire shrine was disheveled. Nura almost wept at the sight of it, and since she had nowhere else to go, she decided to stay in the Ulili-Mlindaji, keeping the Shrine of Fertility well-maintained and pristine. She takes her duties very seriously and spends most of her time at her Shrine of choice. Nura hopes that her constant gifts and upkeep of the Shrine will bless her with the family she desires above all else.

Shift the Earth
Lion's Name: Sakhr ((Stone - Arabic))
Personality: He is a sweet lion but not horribly bright. He is strong and loves his job as a shifter and would move stone all day if possible. Because he is not horribly bright he doesn't say much but he does try to sound smart when he does. He is as steadfast as stone. Words and names just bounce off while a smile rests on his mouth.
Hobbies: Sakhr enjoys shifting stones.... he has actually created a small stone garden with discarded stone and pebbles that he spends most of his time in when he is not working. If the keepers wish for one of his stones he gladly gives it up and quickly replaces it. The garden is always changing and shifting as the mood strikes Sakhr.

Girl's Personality: Nekane is a relaxed kind of girl, she is overly social and likes to talk to everyone and anyone. She can occasionally be a little over the top with those she is close to but she generally means well. She loves the position she has in the pride and the freedom she has to move about and invite others to their way of life or to just show them the shrine. Her overly bubbly personality can seem that sometimes she doesn't take things seriously but she loves her pride and loves to hear the stories that those visiting the shrines may bring with them.

Girl's Name: Mwokoti (“finder of a lost object”)
Girl's Personality: As a whole, Koti is very intuitive and she’s got a knack for directions and figuring out where things are. It’s like she has an internal compass and she really never gets lost when traveling. When it comes to her personal life, she can be quiet and keep most things to herself which makes her seem somewhat distant even though she really doesn’t mean to be. She tries to be cordial and friendly when she’s guiding others around. On the inside, she’s very confident in her abilities as a guide and as a hunter. She is very independent when it comes to most tasks and she prefers to rely only on herself to get the job done. Though, she likes the fact that her position in the pride allows her to help others because she feels like she has a purpose. Koti is very devoted to the pride and puts her duty as a guide above all else and would never let her personal life get in the way.
