Ayamae Akahana Ayamae laughed at Donny as she pulled a white corset off a nearby rack and held it against her body. "What do you think about this one?" She winked at him. Donavon Epithia Head of Hufflepuff Herbology Professor
Donny turned around to see Ayamae holding a tiny white corset that..well...wow...he turned a bit pink and smiled. "It's...well...wow." He said voicing what he thought and laughed aloud a bit as his own embarrassment. "I think it's really amazing," he said, then changed his tone to be sarcastically formal, "but you shouldn't wear it potions, some of the older boys just might just spill their cauldrons." He chuckled a bit. Instead of it being Ayamae this time, a thought struck him off guard. He wondered if they sold rings here...diamond engagement rings...

Ayamae giggled at the color rising in Donny's cheeks and then smirked evilly.
"If I wore it to my potions class, I'd have the young lads putting their eyes out."
She handed the witch behind the counter a few galleons.
"However, I may just save this for private use."
She tucked it into her bag of already purchased items with a devious smile.
"So where to next?"

Donny grinned as she bought it. She'd look great it in it, obviously, that much was certain. "How about Honeydukes?" He suggested. He could never get enough of that place, even though he didn't have a huge sugar tooth. The chocolate there was amazing, levitating sherbert sweets seemed impossible when he first heard of them. He hadn't been there or had anything from there in years, really. After graduating he lived at the trailer park and never really went anywhere because it was too expensive, and he'd had nothing. He hadn't had as much money as he did now in...well...his life. Kid in a candystore was an understatement, everywhere he went when he had money his eyes lit up a bit, it was a wonderful feeling knowing you could do more than just get food and clothes, but things you'd never had. He wasn't about to go nuts and spend it, but save it for something special. Not all of it, but maybe a fair amount...that marriage discussion still hadn't left him. He'd need some gold if he wanted to start a family.

He had put half of his gold in Gringotts, and taken the rest. He had quite a bit of money with him, plenty for an engagement ring. And he was going to get one. He was going to propose to Ayamae. He thought rested in his heart which thudded rapidly against his chest. What if she said no? Laughed at him? He took a deep breath and walked into the store at Hogsmeade. He knew the store was fairly cheap, but he was going to get the most expensive and unique one that fit her. He browsed around, not sure, the cashier getting frustrated that he didn't really know exactly what he wanted. But he'd know it when he saw it. The woman kept recommending sapphires, rubies, other things that didn't sell too well, making suggestions and showing him expensive yellow and aqua diamonds that he didn't want. But finally he found it.
It shone almost as bright as her eyes, but not quite. Nothing was that beautiful, but this must be as close as you could get. It was white-gold, so it was gold with a layer of silver. It was indestructible and you couldn't lose it, there were charms that made it stay within reach if you needed it to. He looked up at the saleswoman who was beaming, delighted because it wasn't cheap. "That one." He said, pointing at it. "I want her name on it, though." He carefully instructed the woman on how to engrave her name in the ring, who didn't seem too happy at being told how to do her job. Still, he wanted it spelled right, written nice and neat without any error. At last when she was finished, he payed her and put the ring delicately in a little blue box. He was grinning but so nervous. The woman waved and said "come again!" in a sing-song voice as he left, running back up to the castle.
