The Emperor raised from he seat in the throne and stood right behind Val. She flinched a little, the only movement they saw from her. She showed some helplessness as much as fear. "Once you all are out of the picture, I will claim this world..." In Clouds, and Vincent's mines they heard the vicious growls of Kagayaki. Seeing his master the way she is pierced him deeply. The Emperor laughed. "Do you think your so called "Jenova" frightens me? When you all are dead, I'll make sure she is crushed to an oblivion..." Knowing Asgard noticed the traps he smirked. "Shall we?..." There was a massive flash of light that was near blinding. Valencia disappeared as well within it, and just as it faded: Mateus the Corrupt had appeared...

The Corrupt leaped up before the clones reached it, the room has very long in the ascend. It twirled its spear until it was glowing an icy blue, then through it straight down. It stabbed where the chair was and the whole ground froze and spikes of ice shot at the party rapidly. The spear came back to The Corrupt then it called forth Ice Elementals. The elementals started casting all kinds of level Blizzard.

Arcene made an odd gesture in front of him, turning black suddenly, as the spike's and blizzards flew around, phasing right throough him as he moved for cover.

Vincent, on the other hand, was stuck ducking, rolling, weaving, and doing all sorts of other stunts in order to keep from getting hit, and he was still getting hit some anyway!

Cloud twirled the Tsurugi, managing to slice through and destroy each ice shard that went to him, he wasn't completely successful though, some had hit him, making him stumble back roughly as he moved behind a pillar. It wasn't like him to take cover and hide like that but there wasn't to much he could do while the shards were flying and magic being cast..


Elena ran in front of Aerith as to shield her from the magic and shards, pulling the Cetra behind a pillar.The Turk dropping to her knees as the two stayed behind it, she had taken quite a few hits for that women. Garnet cast shell upon herself, greatly nullifying the damage before she managed to get herself behind another pillar.

Garnet watched Vincent from the other side from her own pillar, gathering up white magic as the swirls of white light suddenly settled into the man's body, after that, she threw a Shell on each of the party members, followed by protect after word.

Suddenly, out of the shadow's, comes a darker shadow mass, leaping onto and firmly and easily getting a hold on Val, not the armor, Val. Then, it presses a gun to the underside of her jaw, trigger already half depressed and ready to unleash its payload through her skull as Arcene materialized from his shadow form holding said gun. "You people need better insult's. Now stop the attacks or she die's." He says, holding on to her with a very well established hold using all of his free limbs. He woudnt hesitate either, he didnt know her as a freind, not a close enough one.

The Emperor's voice chuckled. "What makes you think I would care?... Shes nothing more than a slave... So you would murder someone that several friends of yours care for?" A tear fled from beneath the helmet. Kagayaki heard Valencia's plea. "Cloud do something!" Kagayaki was about to go and injure Arcene to protect Valencia's life.
