 Lacy smile widened. "I-I'd be delighted!" she stammered and laughed a little then teased "as long as you promise not to bring up politics!" she said sticking out her tongue in disgust ((no sorry! crying I was getting PMed and bugged in another guild))

He chuckled and nodded "Wouldn't dream of it." he said smiling. he chuckled and thought for a moment as to what she said earlier in the infirmary "Hey whatever happened to me not being your type?" he asked teasingly with a mischievous smile on his face.

she smirked "thay was before I remembered that opposites attract" she shot back with a wink. They weren't really that opposite, they actually had quite a bit in common.

He chuckled after a moment smiling wondering what would happen now. He smiled and shook his head after a moment having a playful smirk on his face. he stood up for a moment the thought for another moment and sat pack down not exactly sure what to do now.

Lacy would have gladly said more but she was so tired her eyes were already closing against her will. The coffee mug she held in her hand fell clattering on the floor as Lacy lay unconcious in the chair.

He smiled after a moment and got up and slowly nudged her to see if she would move or wake up. Seeing as she wouldn't he slowly and gently lifted her from her seat and began to carry her to her room thinking to clean up the spill mug and coffee afterwords.

Lacy woke when they were half way to her room. It took her a moment to realize where she was and what had happened. Being just barely awake she blushed "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pass out. Were you saying anything?" she felt bad again. First her office, then walking her here, now carrying her around. She was stsrting to miss the times when she had to put up or shut up. "sorry" she mumbled

He chuckled for a moment and walked her into her room and stopped for a moment just next to her bed. "Don't worry about it." he said after a moment and laid her down on the bed slowly "It's the least i could do, being the decent guy i am." he said slowly and bent down to gently peck Lacey on the cheek, it was something he did out of instinct somewhat when putting someone in a bed. "I think I'll go clean up for you, and might be making my way home if you want so you can sleep?" he said half hoping she'd ask him to stay, and half hoping she'd send him away so she could sleep

she smiled up at him when he kissed her cheek lightly. "oh. Don't worry about the carpet, its no big deal. That's not the first time I've done that." she added with a sarcastic roll of her eyes "if you can believe that, me being obviously perfect and all." she looked into his calm eyes surprising herself when she realized she didn't want him to go. "you can stay if you want." she said a little more quietly as sleep started to consume her again

He smiled after a moment and nodded "Well, then i'll take care of themugs and be right back." he said gently still smiling as he pushed his glasses farther up the bridge of his nose and blinked a couple of times looking into her eyes with his blueish green ones.

Lacy moved so fast that she had pecked him on the cheek and was turned away in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, she was really glad she had decided to come to Reeds. She smiled to herself and soon difted back under

He smiled after a moment and rubbed his slightly grizzled cheek and blushed. "Well that certainly isn't something that happens everyday.' he said quietly to himself as he walked back into the living room retrieving the cups quickly and taking them into the kitchen turning the coffee pot off in the process before sitting down in the chair he'd been sitting in most of the night and taking is boots off to set them by the door. They were simple and easy to slide off with no laces and being a very older style officers boot.
Setting them by the bedroom door he frowned for a moment and wondered what his daughters were doing. Probably getting into trouble he thought to himself then looked around and shrugged "I guess they can have a little fun every now and again." he said quietly aloud and reentered the bedroom wondering what he was going to do or where he was going to sleep if he did.

Lacy tossed and turned a bit, not used to sleeping in an actual bed in quite a while. She muttered in her sleep a bit obviously caught up in a dream. "-because I was bran..." she said quietly. But didn't open her eyes, only muttering the rest unintelligably. she had wanted to say that to him earlier but never got the chance. She hadn't wanted to speak of it

He sighed after a moment and pulled the covers over her as he himself got onto the bed next to her lying just on top of the covers, lying as if he were in a coffin with his legs on top of one another and his hands in his lap he took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling wondering.
