Sorry Mabo, I have a Garchomp in my main lineup. I might be persuaded to use one of my alternates instead for my match against you if you ask nicely, though.

I'm not going to use legendarys, but I am going to use the peudo ones. But only two if I can get one trained up in time. Other then that I'm going to be useing those of mixed types with counter attacks to their weaknesses.

I'm probably gonna be out all day this Saturday but I'll be home all day Sunday. And I'm available at pretty late hours PST every night.
I'm nervous! I've never battled anyone besides my boyfriend who completely destroys my party every time... Dx

@Dart: That sounds a lot like my standard playing style... after my Sapphire game, I generally only used (and use) pokemon that are allowed in the Battle Frontier areas.
Is that what you mean by "pseudo ones"? (I guess I could just wait 48 hours and see for myself, but I'm curious.)

Pseudo being Rotom and the like?
I think I'll make a gambler's team. If it fails I'm dead but the first 3 turns turn out the way I want to victory is guaranteed for me.

Every generation has pseudo legendaries. First generation had Dratini, Dragonair and Dragonite while the second had Larvatar, Pupatar, and Tyranitar.
Rule of thumb , but not always true in the case of Beldum-Metagross, is dragon type and last evolution is at level 55.

Oh you mean the cheapshot powerhouses.
Easy to take down, no problem.
Wait, the battles will be set to Lv. 50? Not Lv. 100?

Cheapshot? I have you know I raised all of them from as low a level as I could get them, including catching high level ones and breeding to get eggs, and I usually try to avoid overly powerful moves. Hyperbeam sucks.

It's as if they made Frenzy Plant, Hydro Cannon and Blast Burn to make Hyper Beam useless.
Tch... if it's only Lv. 50 I can't use my legendary-killing Pokemon.

Bapp, chill. Even if your team is over Lv50, the game will reset them to the right level for the match. Same goes if your pokemon is under Lv50; the game will temporarily raise the level, and return it to its original value when you sign out of the WFC.
So your "legendary killers" will work just fine

I will not reveal what it is or what kind of cheap Pokemon tactics and movesets I have up my sleeve. ninja The more elusive your pokemon is the higher chance I have of mopping the floor with it.

@Bapp: ...if it only works at Lv100, then I find your strategy... questionable. Way I see it, a real solid strategy can work at any level.
@Rocket: I originally said in the rules that all 493 pokemon available in the 4th gen are valid to use... this close to the competition, I'm hesitant to change that (so no one is forced to change their lineup to replace the legendary they were gonna use)... but I didn't expect this many people would show an aversion to them.
I'll leave it to the players and the audience. Vote in the poll to decide the Legendary clause. "Yes, leave the rule as is", "Yes, if both players agree to allow them", or "No, only use non-legendary pokemon."
EDIT: For the sake of definition, we will define "Legendary" as any Pokemon that is banned from the Battle Frontier

@Red: Yes, it is a questionable strategy. But it works and it has been proven countless times on youtube to decimate most Pokemon. But still, it only can be done at Lv. 100.
