Amaidi's heart lurched when Mercury explained about the extremism. She always seemed to have really bad luck but maybe it was getting better. After all she did have mercury for a mate. She suddenly looked over worried at him. he seemed to be getting all these injuries and getting into trouble ever since he had met her. Had she shoved her bad luck onto Mercury some how?

"I said try not to worry," Mercury said. He wasn't sure what was bothering his mate, but he could tell by the crease in her brow that something was still troubling her. He nudged the crease with his nose, then licked it.

"lol sorry I'm trying not to. I hate to think how we are both going to act if I ever end up with kits" Amaidi chuckled a bit shaking her head. She frowned and glared up at the squirrel who was still barking at them. "I will come up there after you" Amaidi yelled.

Mercury had a brief moment of brain panic at the thought of kits. It was a bit early in their relationship for it. His brain frost ended about halfway through Amaidi's rant at the squirrel. It countered with some rather inpressive threat of it's own before whisking off.
Mercury stared after the creature, a little worried. "I'm scared he didn't run off, but just went to get reenforcements."

"uh you would be correct in your assessment lets hurry" Amaidi chuckled jumping to her feet and helping nudge Mercury up. One thing she had learned with squirrels, if you didnt plan on taking them down or werent able to make peace with them the best bet was just to run for it. Squirrels where crazy little buggers.

Mercury quicked stood. "Race ya to the beach," he challenged, and took off. The beach seemed like a safe spot, no trees for squirrels to hide in. If they were so bold to try to follow then going into the water would fix that. The little tree rodents weren't very good swimmers.

Amaidi giggled and followed after him wondering if he could get back there. he had gotten them lost at least once getting here. "Be careful of the fog" Amaidi called out quickly catching up to him.

The warning came a bit late. Mercuy was now sailing through the air. Perhaps you're wondering how this is possible. The marsh lands are unpredictable enough. Add in the ocean and all it's storms carving at the land, and nothing is very even. There are rises and falls. Sometimes you come across mini-ledges, from 3ft to 5ft high.
Mercury had discovered a three foot ledge, with a convient spattering of rocks. Add in fog and presto!, instant accident for the accident prone!
Mercury found himself face-first in the soil, with just enough sandy grit to sting. He winced and pulled himself to his feet. Nothing broken, maybe some bruises. He definetly wasn't winning the race....

Amaidi could have sworn she lost a few years off her life when she noticed Mercury go sailing up in the air. It was her fault that she didnt get the warning out in time. carefully sliding down right next to him she instantly inspected Mercury over for damages. Shaking her head she noticed he was probably going to be a little sore and thought back at her little cave. "lets get you to the cave and I'll get you something for that. Geez do you have to scare me like that

"Only every other day," Mercury quipped, shaking himself to dislodge the sandy soil and wincing slighly as his muscles protested the treatment. He followed Amaidi as they trotted down the worn path to her seaside cave.

Amaidi sighed and mumbled unintelligible things underneath her breath. Eventually they got back to her cave and she was able to start sifting through her positions for the right kind of plant. Ever since mercury had gotten hurt the first time she had started collecting different pain killers and herbs to help him. Eventually finding the one she wanted she pulled it out and crushed it under her feet slowly turning it into a paste. She then lay it on the parts mercury said where hurt. "yeah well eventually I will run out of years and die over on you and then you'll be mateless" amaidi rolled her eyes.

Mercury laughed. He loved it when Amaidi got surly, she was so adorable! He wouldn't say so aloud though, at least not yet. He wanted to be at least slightly profficent in dodging first.
"Ah, but if I die first then you won't know what to do with all your free time! I fear you would attempt to challenge Death for my soul just to keep your paws busy," he chuckled, amused at the mental image of Amaidi challenging Death to a duel.

Amaidi let a small smirk cross her features before shaking her head. "You better believe it.... and I'll win too. Just watch me" her voice said slipping into what she had eventually dubbed as her mafia side. "Of course Dad is going to kill us both so you dont need to worry about that" she shook her head wondering did she really have to tell her dad. Well it was better she do so now and not wait until she had kits or something.

((God, I will laugh in a horribly insane fashion if she has kits before we can get to a Meet the Family: Part 2 RP with her dad. Meet the Family: Part 1, of course, being with Runaiu :3 ))

It seemed to be the misfortune of the two foxes to have parents that could be a bit overzealous when protecting their babies.

(lol well she is definitely not telling him about the kits if thats the case)
"ah but mommy would be really really sad if dad got attacked maybe we should bring her but then again it might not be the best idea either. Mom would faint I can handle the attacking, fainting not so...." Amaidi smiled sheepishly as she trailed off and looked out at the entrance of the cave. since her great great grandfather was a shaman she had inherited the ability to sense the weather to pretty much 100% accuracy and thought she would probably become a shaman if she ever joined a tribe. "ahaha you know that storm I told you decided it was going to stay put. It changed its mind"
