Great questions, and yes, it is understood that they actually go down into the Hounfor--the burial site--of an individual in order to dig up whatever remains they are required to bring whoever has requested them--presumably one of the priestly ranked members. So yes, it is okay for them to do that. I'll tag some more of this info on there later, I definitely need to bulk up some of the rank info. XD AND yes, yes. Since each individual Loa has certain likes and dislikes, one might like, say, hare bones and weaver bird beaks, so the summoner would have a Pesepte either go out and find one, or bring one from their personal hoard or the summoner's hoard. That's just for summoning, if one of the priestly lions needed to use a Poupe to bring forth a Loa, right. But also, since the pride as a whole has this closeness to the spirits, the Pesepte provide other members with things, too. Shrinekeeps would definitely require things that certain Loa liked, because they need to place those things at the Loa's Hounfor so that the Loa stays appeased, or maybe they need it as an incentive to get a prayer answered, and so on. Normal pride members use sacred trinkets like bones and other objects that the Pesepte bring back, too, but not as much. I see the "normal" pride members as maybe collecting simple things on their own, while the Pesepte do the real "holy" stuff like corpse-hunting, or using some kind of spiritual guidance to find things they think a Loa would like, and also they're sent out by priestly lions to search for specific things.
I need to add all this onto the rank. Thank you for the questions, I am serious. XD A lot of the pride info needs to be bulked up an expanded on, so questions are amazing, because as you can see...I talk a lot. orz But maybe that is a good thing in a pride's case, lol.
