Miyra pinched the bridge of her nose totally embarrassed. When she heard someone answering her inquiry she looked to the direction the voice came. "yeah...I'm not really sure where I am..can you tell me?" She looked up suddenly, right where the man's eyes were, she focused on them for a moment and quickly looked away. He certainly wasn't normal.

Miko jumped in her seat. She was so focused on her book that she didn't notice people come in until one of them talked to her. SHe looked at the boy as her ears moved to the side and her tail wrapped around her leg now. She blinked "U-Um... Well I am reading a romance novel that has some suspense in it" she said. She saved her spot in the book and showed him the book and then sat it on the table. She stretched as her ears twitched since she was calming down from being startled. Her tail moved and started to sway from side to side behind her.

Kai watched in complete interest as her ears twitched, and he made his mimic hers. Not really in a teasing way, just in pure satisfaction that someone else had ears that could move like his. However, the tail... the tail he couldn't mimic as well. Without the feeling to make himself look the fool, he sat down beside her instead. One thing about the library: comfy seats abound.
He looked at the book, slightly intrigued. He wasn't all too surprised to see a girl reading a romance novel, but for once, it seemed that the cover pointed towards a romance novel that didn't bother mentioning love between a human and a supernatural creature. "I like your tastes. Vampires are overrated." Of course, Kai barely read anything outside of what was required. At most, he read a few action novels where blood and guts flew left and right, leaving the mercenary fighter to save the woman of his dreams...
But, that's not something he was going to bring up. "Say, I've never really seen your face around here before... and believe me, I would've noticed you waay earlier," he pointed to his head where his ears are, trying to silently signal the similarity between his and hers. "I'm Malachi Valentine... but I prefer being called Kai." He smiled at her, his restlessness starting to get the better of him. His right leg began to shake in a calm and controlled manor.. just something to keep himself moving.

A'kia walked into the library and smiled contently, "Books, such wonderful treasures." she spoke softly to herself, careful not to let others hear her whimsical words. She walked along a couple of bookshelves before deciding on a fairly thick book. Holding it tightly, she found a secluded and comfy looking seat near a window and sat down.
Sighing happily, both by the fact she wasn't being bothered by her sister and she was where she felt most comfortable, she opened the book and began to read. She became engrossed in her book and soon forgot where she was. Not that it mattered to her. Her classes wouldn't start till the next day and till than she was content to waste away her time reading books.

Miko smiled. She looked at her book and then to Kai. She smiled "I'm Miko Roland but you can call me Ari or Miko. Either fits. Also I am new to this school" she said with a smile. She noticed his ears and smiled happy that someone was like her. She thought of something to say but couldn't think of anything as she sighed. She looked back to her book.

Kai returned her smile kindly, and leaned back in his seat, watching for a few people to observe the bulletin that he placed. Well, no one really showed much interest in it... after all, most kids in here weren't here for an outside activity, but more than likely for a good book to live adventures in. Or at least, something of a fantasy realm.
"Well..." Kai started upon hearing Miko's introduction. "Since you're new here I doubt you've had a chance to get a good look at the clubs here." He adjusted himself in his seat, sitting a little straighter, and a little taller. "I'm the Captain of the Co-ed Soccer Team, and I think you'd make an excellent striker for the team." He smiled to himself on that call. She seemed a bit passive, and probably wouldn't hold up against an aggressive defender and sweeper combo. However, with some guidance, her cat-like agility he was sure she had would give her an advantage over the bigger defenders... she'd just have to completely outplay them. "If you're worried about it being competitive, don't worry. We're such a small band of players it really is just for fun."

Miko looked at Kai. She blinked "Um... Well I would love to join, I am really competitive but there is one thing that causes me not to join clubs that could involve injuries" she said. She looked away and sighed lightly. She loved sports but she kept away from them because of her vampire half and she inst good with being around a lot of blood when someone gets injured during a practice or game.

Kai leaned back in his chair. So she was afraid of getting hurt. Understandable. When soccer players aren't flopping like fish, the real injuries they sustain are actually... pretty brutal. Two years ago some kid stepped on his ankle, and broke it in three places. Plus, he knew some supernatural creatures had issues with seeing blood, pain, agony, and other things. Though he doubted the latter, she did seem fragile at first glance, a very feminine build, if he did say so himself.
But, Kai wouldn't be Kai if he weren't persistent. "Sure, injuries can be bad, but, if you're worried about seeing a bone pop out skin, then you don't need to worry. Sure, occasional muscles being pulled, sometimes a busted lip, stuff you expect from everyday life... just a tad bit more frequently." That was a way to put a spin on it. If he could just convince her for one practice... that'd be perfect. He desperately needed another forward to support Alex. "Maybe if you and me had a one on one match, it'd convince you otherwise?"

Miko stared at Kai and hen looked away. She didnt know why he kept wanting her to join. She bit her lip and sighed. She looked at him "One practice and that's it" she said. She looked away and then to her her book as her tail stayed wrapped around her leg due to her being nervous.

Kai grinned at his success. He'd make sure to run her through simple striker drills to see if she had what it took. He wanted to create the perfect team, and if what he thought was true, he'd need Miko. "One practice and that's all I'll need to convince you." He grinned in a joking manor.
Leaning forward into his seat, he took out a peace of paper, and wrote down a time and day, as well as a number. "Let's say Friday evening, after classes are finished. I'll be up on the field all evening, so show up whenever. And if you change your mind, call that number so I'm not playing soccer with an invisible opponent, ok?"
Handing her the paper, he noticed her tail acting in.. odd ways. Maybe it was a tick she had, or she was nervous about something. Being the person he was, he really wanted to see what might happen if he grabbed the tail. However, he didn't completely want to find out, either. It could be something similar to assault if he grabbed a neko's tail, and the last thing he needed was to get her to hate him. "If your nervous, don't worry about it. No one to embarrass yourself around if you aren't good... well, just me. But so long as you show motivation, even the worst players can be crafted into great players... with good coaching."

Miko nodded and took the paper. She looked it over and nodded "That sounds good to me" she whispered. She was really nervous that she will hit the ball to hard and make him bleed. She cant control her blood lust that well but she will try because she liked sports. She smiled lightly and stood up grabbing her book in the process "i will see you Friday then" she said as she walked away and went to put the book back. She finished it already but was reading it again when Kai came to talk to her. She found the spot and placed it back on the self and wondered if she should check out some other books.

Kai smiled to himself, and when she was out of sight, pumped his fist in victory. That was two players in one day, and both really looked like they wanted to join in... well, Miko didn't really, but that was beside the point. She gave him the chance to prove the team was something worth looking at. Honestly, that was all he needed.
He got up, yawned, and left the school library before he could be spotted by the nasty librarian. He really didn't feel like getting interrogated by her. Not today, anyway.

Logan slowly stepped into the library. He had been wanting to see one for most of his life but was never able to bring himself to go into one as a kid. Witch was disappointing because he had a great love for books. Logan began to slowly wonder the rows of books and take in the idea of the vast amount of knowledge that stood on the shelves. "I wonder if there are any books about water elementals?" he said aloud to himself as he passed by some people.

Miyra turned to the sound of another person. His words made her groan. "I'm in a library?" She stood and headed for the door "Screw that noise, unless they have books for blind people." she muttered as she left

Logan D. McBride ************************************************* ___________________________________
Logan was looking at a shelf of old books as he heard the girl behind leave the library. He didn't notice it before but, there was some thing different about the girl. Or perhaps it was more that there was something normal about her. Her aura was that of a human but, did not give off the sense of magic that would come from a witch of wizard. And yet she was not quite your average human, or else why would she be here. Logan's curiosity drove him to turn around as she left the library and began to follow her. **Exit**
