"It matters not what kind of force he has at home; leaving his Village while it's being invaded is an insult to the land he's protecting," Bast responded to the Konoha-nin offhandedly. She listened calmly to Ayame's plan, and nodded along with the suggestion that she work with Bastion. The subtext was fairly plain: it wasn't that Bast couldn't handle herself, but rather that Ayame wanted to protect her kin. As soon as all was said, she turned toward the boy, patted him on the head, and motioned for them to head out. "Don't worry about it. Support is all I need you to do to come out of this battle as healthy as you came in. Now come on, we have to get to the Village."
Without pause, Bast took off into the trees at a speed she knew Bastion would be able to keep up with, running battle scenarios in her mind as she went.

Bastion chuckled softly as Bast pat him on the head, it was a rather strange feeling he hadn't felt in quite a while. He could see her hands as she motioned for them to head out, thankfully chakra auras showed him about all he needed from people, hands, legs, whatever had chakra he could see clearly. Without a moments hesitation he took off behind her, following her from behind, keeping up but not at the same pace as Bast, he had to watch his steps a bit more than she did.
A bolt of white lightning hit the crossroads and from the scents of ozone and scorched earth a man in a ANBU mask, bearing the Sunagakure Headband, emerged. Silvered eyes searched out from behind the mask to search the road for any others who might try to intrude on his mission, but when none approached he began to carry forward. A small white cat would poke itself up from his flak jacket, nuzzling into the back of his neck and purring.
The lone ANBU continued towards the village of the leaf, saying nothing, but reaching up to pet the small white cat that took its place in his flak jacket. He followed closely to the roads, his hands resting on the hilts of his Katana and Wakizashi as he walked, using them solely as armrests at the moment. The slight breeze and the scents on the air reminded him of home, the place he traveled to now after so long.
His eyes scanned the horizon as he reached the end of the road and he looked through the bustling trees towards the resting place of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The cat on his shoulder mewed once more and he turned to face it this time.
"Yes girl, we're almost there. You fae little thing you." He said, stroking it under it's chin.
The ANBU landed upon the road to Sunagakure no Sato and began travelling by himself once more, petting his cat idly as he made his way home. The roads were lonesome as he was, but he made due with what was before him. The long warming winds and the sounds of laughter and discussion between himself and a daughter, a student, that played through his mind as he traveled.

The relatively unfamiliar sensation of humidity gradually increased in intensity the farther Bast got from the deserts of the Wind Country, and she wasn't sure she enjoyed it. It made her feel like she was sweating even when she wasn't, and she worried that she was pushing herself too hard, but at the same time knew this wouldn't even be considered a fast pace by most. She flared her Chakra slightly to alert the border patrol that she was there, but continued on toward the Leaf at a leisurely pace.

Taka came through heading towards suna. She had been every dirrection except for this one recently and figured that she could swing by there and see if there was a place for her. Thus far she hadnt really found a place in this world for her. But there had to be somewhere.
Elizabeth took a different route to a different location. She had a few days and changed her mind once more rather than to go straight to takumi. She strayed off the path and went into the forest to make a place for herself to come back to in the future. After a while of preparation she came back out of the woods at a brisk walk. She figured she would head to giman to grab a few supplies she could potentially need.
Masahiro traveled the lonely roads between the Sand and Leaf villages, his eyes constantly scanning around. He still couldn't believe what was written upon the notice, that he had been called upon to serve as the Hokage in this time of need. But to serve he would, until he crafted somebody better to replace him. He tried to think back to his students from the village, those who had been directly under his tutelage.
"Koan died at the hands of the UHV. Annalisa Cambria Hyourin disappeared. Terra Senju, she was killed by the Chakra Virus... And Ryoku Nara, something's felled him into illness. Have I been followed by an extreme of death this entire time, or have my students suffered fates that I could have changed?" He questioned as he continued along the roads until he hit the lush forests of The Land of Fire.

The ground was becoming much firmer now. The sands of the country Bast knew and loved were behind her now, and ahead lay a vast expanse of woodland. She briefly considered making conversation with her silent associate, but thought better when she realized it would be exactly one step removed from talking to herself.
