There was something refreshing about encountering an individual who knew his manners, and Aila returned the smile graciously.
She followed as Nyx proceeded into the tunnel, opting to fall in line behind Will in accordance to her rank. The scientist seemed especially and strangely concerned with thoroughness, though Aila notice, though she could only guess the reasoning. It mattered little to her, however. The longer they were in the outpost, the longer it would be before she had to climb back into the car.

Will simply nodded to Nyx, resisting a sigh. He hadn't forgotten the fiasco either, and would rather not talk about it.
Since the agent seemed to know her way this time, Will simply followed her with Aila trailing behind him. He glanced back at the trainee. "So... how long have you been on the team?"

Aila was faintly surprised to find herself addressed. After spending an hour at the side of a woman who very obviously disliked her, she had begun to imagine everyone else in the world as equally ill-tempered.
"Little more than two weeks," she replied politely, perhaps matter-of-factly, attempting to meet his gaze and doing rather poorly. It was particularly difficult without knowledge of where his gaze actually was, hidden behind that dark visor.

It didn't take too long for them to reach the lab door, which Nyx opened with a swipe of her card. She held the door open for the other two as she looked around the room for the boxes.

"Huh, you're really new then," he stated as they continued walking. "Do you have any particular specialty?" A lot of Rockets after all had a certain talent and thus a specific department they were assigned to. Unless you were one of the unfortunate ones to do the menial tasks around the base, like guard duty.
When they passed into the lab though, Will redirected his attention to the matter at hand. He then led the way across the lab to a storage room. Opening the door and flicking on the lights, a whole array of boxes was before them.
After scanning the contents of a particular shelf, he took down a couple boxes and handed them to Nyx. "I believe that's what you're looking for."

Aila had numerous skills at various levels ranging from effective study habits to breaking and entering, she wondered to herself, but a specialty...? "Perhaps reconnaissance," she decided. After having her documents revoked earlier that day, it was a bit of a bittersweet sentiment.
Aila gave a habitual thanks to Nyx for holding the door and entered the lab with a mild curiosity. The outpost's design was expectedly similar to that of the headquarters building, but still it triggered the new-area-must-record instincts she had somehow acquired. A shame she had neither paper nor pen on hand, never mind the fact that she would likely be reprimanded again if she returned with more maps.
She waited in the hall as they arrived at the storage room. Such a vast number of boxes, she marveled with an almost childlike inquisitiveness.

"Mm." Nyx took the boxes and sat them down on a lab table outside of the storage room. She opened each of the boxes and peered inside, checking to make sure the things inside looked to be and said they were what they were supposed to be.

She would find that everything in the box was untouched and in order, just as it should be. Will honestly had no clue what the stuff was himself. He wasn't a scientist after all, it simply wasn't his thing.
"Is it good?" He asked, for he was certain that the higher ups wouldn't want a repeat of what had happened the last time Nyx had come there.

Aila peered into the room to catch a glimpse of the box's contents, but, like Will, she had no idea what they were anyway. What was it they had come to fetch? Horseradish peroxidase? She had never been a huge fan of horseradish - much too spicy for her tastes - but it did cross her mind that she could use a bite to eat upon returning to the base... Aila realized her thoughts were wandering and she snapped back to attention, a slight redness of her face indicating mental slip.

"Yes. Everything looks right." Nyx closed up the boxes and lifted one of the boxes into her arms. It wouldn't do for her to carry both of them, she might drop one.
"Ready to head back?" Nyx looked between Aila and Will, but mostly at Aila.

Ready to head back? Certainly. Ready to step back into that steel death trap with Nyx at the wheel? Never in her life. But she nodded nonetheless, taking the other box into her arms and settling its weight against her body carefully. She addressed Will with a smile, "It has been a pleasure to share in your company." He seemed an amiable enough young man, and she wondered if they would have the opportunity to speak again in the future. The girl turned to her companion expectantly, waiting once more for her to take the lead.

Will would smiled back to Aila and nodded. "The same goes for you."
With that, he opened the door to allow the two women to exit, since they were both carrying boxes. He then trailed after them, since he had to return to his post back in the old subway tunnel.

Nyx nodded to Will as she passed through the door he held open. "Thanks." She may have meant just for holding the door, or for showing them to the boxes, or just that the packages were right this time. Either way, it was a thank you.
When they reached the rickety stairs, Nyx held the box close with one arm and held on to the rail with the other, making sure to keep her grip on the box tight. She didn't want to fall with this stuff. And she didn't.

Taking everything into consideration, Aila assumed that the contents of the box were very important and likely fragile. She ascended the groaning stairs slowly, keeping both hands on the parcel as she proceeded. She breathed a sigh when she reached the top of the staircase. Halfway there and no incident yet. Hopefully the return trip would prove equally uneventful.

Nyx popped the trunk when they reached the car and placed her box inside. She sighed and opened the driver side door.
"... Well. Here goes nothing, part two." She joked. Sort of. She sat in the seat, buckled her seatbelt, and waited for Suu to shut the trunk and get in.
"I uh... Will try not to scare us this time." She really hated driving, and Aila seemed almost as nervous as she did in the car. "So," Nyx started the car and pulled out of the alleyway, "What did you think of the outpost?"
