Acia jumped as she heard her name being spoken by Alyosha, she hadn't noticed him come in. She nooded at what he had said. "Of course I don't mind. I'd quite like to take Jorai out" she inclined her head towards the little creature who was now trying to chew the supports on the windows.
"But... can you tell me about what Jorai is first?" she asked quietly, retrieving the little creature.

Alyosha nodded. "Of course. She's a Tupsu, a race of creature which have an affinity towards nighttime, the moon and stars, so much so that they even appear to have developed the patterns of them on their coats. I have a leaflet somewhere for you, i'll see if I can find it. You'll need to make sure she gets plenty of moonlight.. oh.. and it is a she" He smiled, feeling he may have dumped a little too much information in his enthusiasm. Oh well, the leaflet would let her know how to take care of it. He reached out to pet the little creature, who evaded his hand readily, squirming and clinbing around Aci'as body, making her giggle as it tickled her ears.
"As for the task at hand..." He took out the note Foenix had slipped into the room and handed it to Acia to let her read it.

Acia nodded as she was told about the Tupsu, she'd have to read up on them later, perhaps even make more observations of her own about these odd moon loving creatures.
Reading the note, a questioning look skipped across her face. "Interesting... but what do you want me to do?" she asked quizically, flicking her ear as the Tupsu nuzzled against it.

Alyosha smiled as he penned a note. He had been on the Island several years now and knew what to expect from the weather, short of rare events such as typhoons. Folding up the piece of paper he gave it to Acia. "Could you please go and deliver this to Foenix? Just place it under the door as it's a tad late to come knocking. In the morning i'll tell you what I'd like you to do" he smiled and got up to open the door for her, closing it after she left, Tupsu in tail. Normally he would have delivered it himself but he was simply too tired. He grabbed one of the duvets from the cabinet in the corner and, laying down on a comfortably thick rug, he fell straight asleep.

As Foenix stepped into the Center, Nehanda leaped off from her shoulder. "What is it, sweetie?' The little gryphon ducked her bill toward the note held in Foenix's hand. "Oh, this?" Nehanda nodded. "You want to bring it to Alyosha?" She nodded again. Foenix smiled and handed the note over. Nehanda took it and held it tightly by crossing her two front legs and trapping the note against her chest. "Just slip the note under the door, okay? I expect he's busy." Nehanda took off, flitting quickly -if still a bit clumsily- down the hallway to where she remembered seeing Alyosha the other day. Once at his door, she lowered herself to the floor and nosed at the note until it slid safely into Alyosha's rooms. Note Alyosha- Thank you so much for the information and articles! We can't wait to look them over. I should be free tomorrow morning if Acia should care to stop by. ((That's Monday before noon, EST)) If this time isn't convenient for her, just let me know when she's free, and I'll free up some time! Nehanda is really looking forward to meeting her, as am I. ~Foenix Nehanda sped back to Foenix, merping proudly. She might be small, but she could still be helpful! "Very good, Nehanda," The red-haired guardian compimented her charge. "That was very sweet of you to offer. Are you ready to go home now?" The gryphon nodded and took off through the open door. She glanced over her shoulder and merped in amusement as she left Foenix behind. "Hey, come back here, you little-!" Foenix broke off with a laugh and began to chase her Aerandir home.

Dragonfly had only been to the community center for a short time at the Valentine's party, and as such, felt that it was time to pay the place a longer visit. Iniko was tired, and thus Dragonfly had let her sleep, the small Aerandir perching on Dragonfly's head as she walked towards the place.
She hadn't allowed Lunar and Veins to come, as she was still feeling foul with them at what they had done to her home.
"I swear," she murmered, "It'll never come off,"
She almost shook her head and scowled, but a soft wheeze from the gryphon nestled within her hair reminded her not to.
Dragonfly was a bit nervous about going to the center by herself, but she tossed those fears to the wind, and swung the door open to reveal the commons room of the center.
It wasn't as lavishly decorated as Dragonfly had remembered it before, but she felt that it was homey and comfortable none the less.
She wondered if anyone else was there, but gazing around the room a moment answered her question.
"Well, maybe someone will show up," she murmered, stepping further inside and shutting the door behind her.
She walked over to a clump of pillows near one of the tables, and sat herself down, carefully pulling Iniko off her head to let the gryphon rest on another pillow.

Almost on cue Syrenrei appears in the middle of the room, standing on a chair. It looked a little odd, but it was exactly where she meant to be... but... everything looked so different. Not that the lack of red and pink wasn't for the better, it just almost made her wonder if she was in the right place.
Gazing around for a moment, she looked for any of the odd creatures or perhaps one of the people she had seen here last weekend.
But maybe she shouldn't even be here. She was invited verbally, but no one sent her a note, and this seemed like a somewhat secluded, private island.

Dragonfly toppled backwards in surprise at the sudden appearance of the other woman, and Iniko let out a loud honk of dislike as she was upended from her pillow, and rudely awakened.
Dragonfly blinked in surprise from her back, sitting up to perch on her elbows as Iniko jabbed her beak sharply into Dragonfly's side.
"Ouch!" Dragonfly yelped, swatting her hand at Iniko's form, "Iniko!"
That beak was sharp...
Dragonfly turned her attention back to Syrenrei's form, and Dragonfly couldn't help but grin a bit.
"Well. Quite the entrance," she said, chuckling a bit and pulling herself to her feet to walk over to Dragonfly.
Iniko huffed, climbinb back onto a pillow and tucking her head under a wing.

"...Oh, sorry." She blinked and stared at Iniko, feeling faintly reassured that this was the right place after all... which was good. Somewhere positive would be a nice reprieve from home by herself. Hardly anyone can avoid feeling down when they're alone all the time.
"Was there a Valentine's party here last week? I just... hope I'm in the right place." ^^;; There was always the chance she accidently slipped into the wrong dimension a split second before she appeared, after all. Why couldn't she be normal and drive a car?

"It's alright," Dragonfly said, chuckling a bit, "That really was quite the entrance though,"
She gave the other a reassuring smile, glancing back at Iniko a moment, before returning her gaze to Syrenrei.
"A Valentine's Party? Yeah. I was only here for a few moments of it, but yeah. It was here,"
Dragonfly was now wishing she had spent more time at the party, but she had been unable to..

"Oh good." Realizing she was still standing on the chair she sat down. There was an uneasy silence. She had never been and would never be completely at ease with social situations- they always sent her stomach a flutter.
"I met another of my kind here, and I was hoping he might be around, but I suppose not. It is my own fault for coming on impulse. I apologize, I should introduce myself. My name is Syrenrei." She bowed her head cordially after she finished her rambling.

"Your kind?" Dragonfly blinked, raising an eyebrow a bit.
She tilted her head to the side, the crown of black roses she wore falling down a bit, revealing the faint p***k of a black horn nestled within her white locks.
"There's no need to apologize," Dragonfly chuckled, "I was hoping someone would show up, and so you did!" Dragonfly's grin only widened, "I'm Dragonfly. I'm very pleased to meet you Syrenrei. The gryphon... She is Iniko, though she doesn't seem to be want to be very social at the moment,"

She ignored the comment about her kind, although she did eye the woman's horn for a moment. No, no need to talk about such things... this time she was quite sober and didn't exactly want to start spreading the word... even to her kin. The woman seemed kind... but...
"Iniko? Is she your daughter?" A natural assumption, although she didn't mean biologically. After all, she had two sons that were not from out of her womb nor were they even close to her species. "My sons are grown and away." A slight, sad smile. "I guess it's not just me that doesn't want to be alone today."

"Aye," she replied, looking back over to Iniko, "I do consider her as such, yes. Though she is an Aerandir, a raccoon/heron no less, I consider her a definite part of my family, and a daughter to me,"
Dragonfly smiled brightly, wandering back over to Iniko to pick the small gryphon up, and bring her over to Syrenrei.
This place was good for Dragonfly. Cetalu was a wonderful escape from a dark past of which she wished not tread again. But at the same regard, some things were best kept to ones self.
"So," she said, still trying to be cheerful and kind to the other.

"A raccoon and a heron?" She tried picturing exactly how that would happen. COULD it happen? Maybe... maybe she HAD slipped into a realm where there were differences. Last she knew birds and mammals didn't breed.
Aen-what? ... Next time she'd make a point to ask more questions about a place before she decided to return to it so she wouldn't end up so bloody confused. eek
