As soon as Lena was set down, she took a few steps away from Nikolai and glared at him. "She said that you make potions that make people unleash their inner demons, which would explain...me..." she whispered when she said 'me'.

"no..i don't. she's the one. the potion i gave you was perfect. she tainted the soda. i know that because i spilled it onto a test plate and it tested positive for a solvent that brings out demons" he explained, still in his demon form

Lena looked at Nikolai, this time her eyes filled with hurt. "And you didn't tell me?" she asked.

Lena turned her back to Nikolai, so he wouldn't see the tears coming out of her mask. "I'm such an idiot." she whispered. How could she have fallen for Tikal's trick so easily?

Lena sighed. She would just have to put up with Tikal, for now. She looked at her demonic body. "So am I stuck like this?" she whispered.

Nikolai sighed and pulled out a needle full of a glowing gold serum. "i've been working on this for a while. it will change you back to normal....that is if you still trust me and my medicine" he said sadly. "but if you dont, i understand"

Lena eyed the serum carefully. She then looked into Nikolai's eyes. There was a long pause, then Lena stuck out her arm. "I trust you." she said softly.

Nikolai smiled at the new hope. he stuck the needle in her arm and injected the serum, watching her body shrink to normal
