Nariko finally got up and went to reside by her Master, knealing on the floor beside his chair.for some reason she had much more respect for him now."is there anything i can do to please you Master?"

The timer on the oven buzzed, meaning her master's meal was done. Jane took the pan out and dished three plates; one for her master, herself, and the other slave. She finally came out into the dining room, the three plates balanced in her arms. "Here is your meal, Master," She said casually, passing his plate in front of him. She put the other two plates at seats nearby, sitting down at the table to eat after.

He reached across the table and slapped Jane. "How dare you sit at the table as if you were an equal? Kneel at me feet next to Nariko. You eat on the floor until you earn my respect."

She turned head back to face her master after he had slapped her. Without a word, she got out of her chair and sunk to her knees on the side of his chair opposite Nariko, not bothering to get her plate.

He reached across the table and took the other plates. Placing them at his feet, he said, "Eat."
He began to eat the food she had brought him. It was good. Much better than he had anticipated. This, combined with her obedience made him rethink his plan. "This is... surprisingly adequate."

Jane placed the plate on her lap, eating it in that position. "Why thank you....Master..." She decided to try a more pleasant attitude, hoping it would at least get her by without any more bruises.

The rest of the meal passed without incident. When he finished, Stephen stood and nodded to his slaves. "Please take care of the dishes. I want you two to get along."

Jane stood up, bowing to her master before taking her plate to the kitchen. She began to wash her plate and all the dishes she used to cook tonight's meal.

Stephen came into the kitchen. "If everything is done in here, I'll show you where you will be staying."

Jane dried her hands and drained the sink before following the other two, wondering if her master just might stick her in a cell for all she's done.

He lead them down a hall. "Of course, your room, like your treatment, will be based on your performance. Nariko, you have been very obedient. You get this room." He opened a door to reveal a lavishly furnished room.

"thank you Master"she smiled and waited to be dismissed,truthfully she just wanted to see what her competition got.
