At least that question was simple enough to answer. "Negative," Asgard responded as he pushed himself back up from his crouch when Kanika moved around him so he could keep watch of where she went. The last thing he wanted to do was accidentally step on her. Not only would her parent - where ever he or she was - probably dismantle the large demon, but it would also make a terrible mess in his joints. "Sunlight: sufficient." He saw her looking up at the table where a good amount of the sweets were set out, and he slid one large paw over to her to offer her a lift up.

Perhonen couldn't help but grin slightly when the odd youngling bounded up onto the table in front of him and made short work of several cupcakes. "That good, hmm?" he remarked. She grabbed the cupcake he had been after, but there was plenty to go around.

Loki blinked slowly at Sepia, bemused by the familiar's rather... exuberant reaction to his presence. The music was interesting, though he didn't know it, but... Why on earth did the familiar act so? He wasn't going to eat him or something. He sighed a little, then smiled at Umber. "My apologies, am I interrupting? I was curious what was going on over here... And music often catches my attention." He nodded to the boom box. "I rather like music, even those who can not speak can find a way to communicate with music, if they are so inclined." He sat down, studying the pair curiously. "I am Loki... If I might inquire as to your names?"

Auri studied Riki slowly, at his words. She tilted her head, then decided he was not mocking her and graced him with her friendliest smile. Which, actually, could be pretty friendly when she wanted it to be. "Mmm why thank you... I am rather fond of chocolate... Sweet things in general but chocolate is the best of the best, don't you think?" She paused, and then added "My name is Aurianna... What is yours, young gentleman?" The elder looked the other over, almost indulgently, pleased to have met some one who didn't immediately treat her as annoying or ugly.

Sepia didn't really look scared, more indignant, but he calmed down, especially seeing that Umber didn't seem that upset at the interruption, and flitted down to poke the volume button with his tail, turning the music down a little. "No no, you're fine. I normally prefer being alone while painting, but this is a social event after all, and I expected to socialize at some point. I'm Umber, and that's Sepia. It's nice to meet you, Loki." He smiled. "It's just that I don't get back to the Inbetween as much as I'd like, and this..." He swept a paw across the sunset over the water, "...was too good of a scene to pass up."



"Welcome! Ah, chocolate is all right. Skittles are my absolute favorite sweet, I must say." He winked. But chocolate for the lady, of course! A pleasure to meet you, Aurianna, I'm Mashariki. Although most others call me 'Riki for short." He half turned away to grab a chocolate muffin off the table for her, and a pawful of skittles he had finally found, for himself.

Vienna rolled her eyes. "You have no idea," she replied, looking at her granddaughter, "My house is so full of rambunctious demons it's hard to find anyplace good to just sleep. I mean, honestly." she shook her head, a snort of laughter coming from her throat. "It's like a zoo in there."






"Yes, the beach," she replied, still watching Sakit as if waiting for something else amusing to happen, "Our bonded owns about a quarter mile strip of it, but we roam where we please. White sand, clear water..." she trailed off, thinking of the lush shoreline at home.

"I like bite-sized snacks," said Shroom, "if you can find some of those too." Fluttering in a slightly different direction, she added, "I know just what drink to get to go with whatever food you can round up. There's some beanbags around a big purple one that don't seem to have been claimed. We'll meet you there."


Dream Shade was beginning to feel glad that she came. Her guard hadn't been dropped entirely though. The day was early and there was still plenty of time for something to go wrong. Keeping her face mostly hidden by her hair, the black demon followed Shroom, but she watched where Erudite had gone to gather food.


Shroom showed Dream Shade to the purple beanbag, then left her there to go fetch the drinks.


Dream Shade waited by the beanbags while Shroom darted off to find a suitable drink. She felt almost giddy realizing that she was actually at a party and enjoying herself. Then doubt set in, wondering if Erudite's offer to go get food was really an excuse to get away from them, ..from her.

Umber smiled, glad someone else understood why he created his art. This Wini may not have the skill to create such works as he, but he had the heart of an artist at least. "All of us have skills, in some way," he replied. "Even Sepia here can create some beautiful pieces, even if many of them are abstract art." He grinned. "But then, his tail makes a very nice alternative to a paintbrush." He chuckled as Sepia finally seemed to lose his huffy attitude at the earlier interruption, now looking VERY smug at the compliment.

Munching on his Skittles as she thanked him, he couldn't help but smile at her comment on his hair. Swallowing before answering, he chuckled. "No, no, I came this way, truly! Although I take the phrase 'Taste the Rainbow' very seriously, so perhaps I should go by the 'you are what you eat' mantra as well." He winked, popping another few in his mouth.
