Lunging, Liliana got a hold of Arete's wrist. "Okay, copycat. I know your kind can see the memories of those you've touched. Well, see mine," she challenged as she opened every last wall she had so someone could finally understand her. Tears soaked her blindfold as she held on for dear life. "See what I've seen. And why it even came to pass."

In a sudden flash, Arete saw everything about Liliana's past. From her village's attack to her training in Luimira. After the moment passed though, Arete appeared surprisingly calm. "Huh...well you've lived an interesting life so far." he commented. "I uhh...I guess I'll zip my pants back up now."

You won't get it here," she said more audibly. With a sigh, she went back to her plate. But, for some odd reason, she had a smile on her face. A very relaxed, happy about events smile.

Arete grinned and zipped up his pants before sipping some more of his water. "You seem too peaceful for a dark and gloomy place like Nocturne. Have you ever thought about moving elsewhere?" he asked, recalling little to no violence in Liliana's memories.

"Not to mention you don't have to be evil to prefer a little darkness," Aura added, her high-pitched voice just adding humor to an otherwise serious statement.

Arete smiled brightly at Liliana's pet. "I guess you're right." he said and relaxed in his seat. "Well, if you like the place I won't argue for you to leave it. Some flowers bloom just as beautiful in the moonlight as they do in the sun, after all."

"Arete. where did you say that ship was exactly?" Rachel now got up and moved over to Arete putting a hand on one of his cheeks. She then gave him a good kiss on th lips then started to walk out the door with a backwards wave. "Nice meeting you Liliana... and thanks a lot Arete!" Rachel shouted on her way out then as soon as she was outside she ran off for the gates wanting to go find this 'Spire' place. <~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

Arete blushed as Rachel suddenly kissed him before leaving, but quickly fell into a blissful smile. "Oh....anytime." he sighed with happiness before turning back to Liliana. "Yes, I know Nocturne, but unfortunately I won't be able to follow you there. See the king finds me a bit of nuisance so I've been banished from that city. For like....forever." Arete glanced away and started drinking his lemon water again.

Arete looked up and smiled at Liliana. "Well, I may not look it but I tend to run into the law a lot. When my friend, Fenrir, joined Luimira's ranks I stayed in the city to look after him. But as he began to rise through the ranks he was given more responsibility. Eventually it came to a point where our friendship wasn't worth losing his position over, so he banished me from the city rather than turning me in." he sighed. "Even after telling you, the conversation still doesn't seem very nice. What should we do?"
