She asked, deciding to see if he was used to the water enough to go into the shallow end or not.

He smirked, "It's not in my nature to take things too slowly." He eased himself the rest of the way into the water, and watched as steam rose around him. "Not bad. Rather warm. Gonna come in?" He offered her a hoof, he felt more in his element now.

"I will pass" she said, knowing she would of just sounded like she totally contradicted herself but she was also taught something else "my parents drummed into my head that swimming so soon after eating was bad also so I think I will wait for a bit" she said, knowing that would of not sounded as good given what she just said to him about facing his fears and what not but hey, she didn't want to get cramp or something.

"Oh," Fiendfyre grimaced. She kept him on his toes, so to speak. He wasn't sure what she was going to say or do next, but in some odd way...he rather liked it. She was impulsive, she spoke her mind, it was refreshing. "But later?"

"Sure, later will be good" she said smiling at him "I am sorry I can't join you now but I just want to be safe rather then sorry, if I get in now and get cramp I won't be any help if you need me" she said to him, the water was inviiting but no,she knew it would be bad if she got in now so it was best to wait.

He wasn't sure why he said it, and he knew he'd probably want to take it back, but the words were out of his mouth before he could stop himself. "Are you sure that's the only reason?"
Ugh, why did he have to be arrogant right now? She was finally talking to him.

"Do you want me to stop talking to you again?" She asked him back, it WAS the only reason but given his comment at this present time she was starting to wonder why she decided to give him a chance now, she can handle arrogance to an extent but if he was going to be this way every other half hour or so she was going to have to maybe rethink her friendship with him.

"Sorry," he murmured. "I'm not use to talking to...well, a lady." He was enjoying the sauna like feel to the water, the steam still rising. "I want you to keep talking to me, please..don't stop."

Maybe he had gained some ground back, his dad had said honesty was the best policy...He'd just never, well lived by it when it came to woman. Her words still ruffled him, but he had to remember to keep his cool. He wasn't sure what to say at the moment, so he just looked at her.

Flora got up and dipped a hoof into the water and took it straight back out, it was nice "well, this has one thing going for it, it is comforting" she said as she slowly got into the water and sat back against the wall, resting on it and looking up at the sky "mmm I could get used to this" she said, having only ever been in a hot spring before and that was months and months ago.
