@ Lt. Brookman: Well, that's true. Tons of better-looking models and toys out there.

Okay, a quick run down, in the hopes of getting things going again:
January: Skaven, reinforcements unknown as of yet, though there might be a Hellpit Abomination in there.
February: Blood Angels! Stormraven, Furioso / Librarian Dreadnought and BA Battle Force.
2011 releases: Grey Knights, Tomb Kings, Orcs and Goblins (by Jeremy Vettock) and either Necrons or the Tau Empire.

Lady Blodwynn Okay, a quick run down, in the hopes of getting things going again: January: Skaven, reinforcements unknown as of yet, though there might be a Hellpit Abomination in there. I'd bet GK and Necrons, Tau have 4ed dex that is still somewhat working, while the bots and GK are quite bad at handling the mech armies dominating the 5th edition... while not having dedicated transports themselves.

Necrons keep getting mentioned more and more as time goes by. Grey Knights are up first though. Confirmed kits include PAGK, TAGK and a unique form of walker exclusive to the GK's.
Chances are that Summer 2011 will see another 40k expansion, involving flyers. Expect plastics for most major races. Discussed kits include: Imperial Navy Thunderbolt, Ork Fighta, Eldar Nightwing and the Dark Eldar Raven.
Certain models already around, such as the Valkyrie and the Chibi-hawk, will get a rule upgrade when using expansion rules, changing them from fast skimmers into true flyers as they should be.

Mantic is hard at work on a new range: Khaos Dwarves! Quote: Well, it does look like we have created some chat! For the last few weeks we have been organising and plotting – and now all the fun is coming out. First up, we have our new ‘Bad’ Dwarfs announcement- these are the Dwarfs who are not very nice, not very nice indeed! While these are still work in progress there has already been heated discussion about their name. We are thinking along the lines of Khaos Dwarfs, but Kaos Dwarfs has been suggested and found a few fans. Please comment below and let us know your thoughts. The Khaos/Kaos Dwarfs will be released in February, and you’ll be able to build a pretty huge and exciting army. But what does this mean for the Orcs, I hear you shout. Well nothing really – they are currently with our tool makers and will be released as soon as they have finished with them – perhaps April? We will then have three months of Orc mayhem and madness). Until then we have the Zombie and Ghoul metal command bits, a whole Khaos Dwarf army coming your way, more of the excellent Hasslefree miniature sets, and some new Elf models – and that is all before the Orcs. We will also have news of Mantic Games granting their first licence, and also a story about something you can use with these new fangled phone things, paps? raps? baps? - or something like that!!… and very excited we are about these things too!

Pity, I was hoping to see more of their Orcs by now. Oh well, here's hoping that the Kaos Dwarf creators have read Wulfrik.

Naming aside, it's going to be a c**t to assemble! Not to mention suffer from bad rules because it already uses a horrible chassis. talk2hand

In regards to Imperial Armour 11, which has been codenamed "Battlefield Hoth" by FW: Eldar versus Space Wolves, Cadians and Elysians, will be a one-off book, so a self-contained campaign and story. Eldar will be getting the most love, in form of: 1. Shadow Spectre Aspect Warriors (Newsletter #261) + Prism Cannon style weapons that can combine + Jet packs NOT jump packs + 5 models currently sculpted + exarch in the works 2. Second New Aspect, mentioned briefly in the novel Path of the Warrior, rumoured to be called the Swirling Orbs of Xandos3. Phantom Titan 4. Lynx and Hornet light skimmer tanks 5. Enclosed cockpits for War Walkers Space Wolves will get one or two resin characters, NO Thunderwolves (these will be tackled by GW when they feel like it) and resin Chapter Upgrade packs and etched brass Cadians will get cold weather gear upgrades in form of new legs with great coat flaps, fur lined boots and new heads with scarves and respirators. Elysians will get nothing.

Aye, chances are the Imperial base will be assaulted by massive walkers.
Here's hoping it won't be a complete copy of Empire.
