   Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraWith a sigh, Cindy gently placed both of her children down on the bed.
"Now you two play nice, or spankings will be in order," She warned them, particularly Soren.
She then looked at Liena, and then at Alfred.
"It does seem a bit strange... But he seems to be happy, so I'm not sure what else I can say about it."
Mercutio blinked, looking at the crossbow.
"You're stupid," He said in response to the invitation to shoot things.
"... I'm down."

Alfred---Soren---Liena
Soren flopped over onto his stomach and sulked quietly, shoving a pillow between himself and Lara. If she wanted to bother him she'd have to work for it.
"Your face is stupid." Alfred retorted although that smile remained in place.
"Let's go!"
He turned, crossbow still in his arms and accidentally bumped into the table nearby. It was enough to jar the bowstring loose and send the arrow hurtling at the wall where it ricocheted off it to the ceiling and then straight down into Alfred's right shoulder with a sick 'thwack'.
The Gardevoir's head tilted to the side quizzically before turning and noting the arrow's end sticking straight up, it's point lodged exactly where his shoulder ended and arm began.
Without pause he set the weapon down and reached up to try and tug the arrow loose.
"Are you crazy?! Dont pull on it!" Liena shrieked, horrified that Alfred seemed completely unphased from just having SHOT HIMSELF, she reached out to keep him from messing with it.
The male Gardevoir barred his teeth at her and pointed the unloaded crossbow at Liena's face. Unloaded, but the threat was still implied.
"Dont touch me."

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraMercutio blinked as Alfred suddenly shot himself in the shoulder.
"Dude... Ow..." He muttered, looking at the arrow.
Suddenly, Alfred snapped, causing Lucinda to teleport herself between Liena and her husband.
"Alfred. But that damn thing down and explain to me what you think you're doing."
Oookay, time for Mercy to take a few steps back~
He sat down on the edge of the bed, watching the babies.
Lara was trying to crawl over the pillow with much trouble.
"Let Liena get that thing out of you."

Liena glowered angrily at the crossbow pointed at her until Lucinda appeared in the way, she peered around the other female to watch as Alfred slowly lowered the weapon and finally allowed it to fall from his hand to clatter noisily on the floor.
"Sorry...sorry about that."
His tone was apologetic but a bewildered smile was on his face and he shook his head no to Lucinda's final statement.
Instead, without warning, he grabbed onto the shaft of the arrow and with a violent tug had ripped it from his shoulder and tossed it on the ground with the crossbow.
His smile faded and a frown replaced it along with a complacent 'hm'.
"I'm going to go smoke." He turned and stepped around the two female and out the door, mindless to the fact that he'd quit smoking a month ago.
"...do you see what I mean with the 'strange' now?"

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraLucinda sighed, watching as Alfred walked passed her and out the door.
"Liena, I hate to ask this of you, but I need you to look after the kids for a few more minutes while I talk to him..." She said softly.
She could sense that Liena had a rough time already, but what else could she do?
She reached into a drawer and took out a roll of bandages.
"Well, it shouldn't be that hard this time," Mercy pointed out, gesturing to Lara, who had given up on getting to her brother in favor of hugging the pillow like a stuffed animal and falling asleep.
Lucinda nodded and left the room to find her husband.

The female Gardevoir shrugged in agreement. With his sister no longer bugging him Soren was sitting quietly next to his Uncle and examining the room.
Liena turned to Mercutio then and raised her hands as though saying 'I surrender'. "I suppose they did need that, albeit, short break. He seems awful weird lately. I feel for your sister, the insanity she puts up with."
Outside in the hall, sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, Alfred was doing exactly what he said he was going to and held an already lit cigar between his teeth.
He turned at the sound of the door closing to note Lucinda, the blindfold around his eyes was now around his neck and his expression was almost 'amusement' as he extended his cigar case out to her, clearly offering her one.
Both eyes were open and, surprisingly, not black as they usually were under Suecra's influence but split down the center so half of each eye was black while the other white. It was...alarming.
"You okay?"

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraMercutio sighed and looked down at young Soren.
"I'm scared for this kid," The Gallade said.
"He's in for a heap of trouble if he ends up being like... well, anyone in his family."
Alfred was freaking, Lucinda was a b***h, and Mercutio was a war-loving a*****e.
Lucinda's spine shivered a bit as she looked at Alfred's eyes.
They were a rather unsettling sight.
Shaking her head softly, she nudged the cigar case away with her hand.
"Alfred, I want to know what's going on..." She said softly.
"Everything that's going on. No leaving things out, no hiding the truth. Start with that thing."
The female pointed to the pendant hanging around Alfred's neck.

Liena rolled her eyes upward to the sky before reaching to pick Soren up. The tiny Ralts did not bite this time, for fear of envoking his mother's wrath, but he did frown as though not enjoying being held.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. Lara too. You worry too much about family genetics but it doesnt really matter. They'll be their own people. If we were all like our parents I'd be a battle junkie with a mean streak..."
...she did have a tiny mean streak, but it was not as prominent as her father's temper.
Alfred shook his head, he was acting out because of this stupid necklace but it was neccesary. [At least it wasnt one of the other necklaces, then it'd be reaallly awkward.]
The Gardevoir reached out to grab Lucinda's outstretched hand and pull her onto his lap where he wrapped both arms around her and buried his face in her shoulder.
"I'm sorry...I'm a bit mixed up. This pendant freezes time for it's wearer but alters emotions so it feels like I'm not myself. It's temporary until I find a better solution to the curse that's killing me."
He trailed off in thought and sighed deeply, she wouldnt like this.
"...I need you to do me a favor...take the kids and go stay with Mercy in the Sun Guild...just for a little while."

"Hopefully that's the case. If we had a little Mercutio running around, then life as we know it would become nigh impossible."
Basically, as a kid, Mercy was the biggest brat ever.
Alfred's words kind of stung a bit in the back of Lucinda's mind.
"I'll take the kids, but..."
She rest her hand atop Alfred's, rubbing it softly.
"There's no way I'm going to leave you alone... You mean too much to me..."
Sighing, she closed her eyes, waiting for Alfred's begs to make her go.

"If he turns into a little Mercutio it'll be nicer than dealing with a little skirt chasing womanizer like your brother-in-law..."
Yes, she preferred violence to complete casanovas.
Soren squirmed to get away from her, but Liena only held on tighter and the tiny Ralts mentally groaned in annoyance.
He didnt like being touched.
He never told Lucinda to do anything, it was always phrased as suggestions but now...
He couldnt risk her being here. Not with Sasha a member of the Elite, he didnt know exactly what that group of Arceus Soldiers were planning but he didnt want his family anywhere near what could be a battle zone.
"They need at least one parent around, Cindy." He commented, his grip around her waist tightened slightly.
"...you have to go. For now anyways, as soon as it's...as soon as everything is cleared up I'll let you know."
Let her think it was all about business. It was a much more practical solution than letting her think danger loomed overhead.

Being and uncle wasn't so bad...
"Probably... But I can already tell Soren's gonna be a heartbreaker. Just look at him."
He practically looked like a young, Ralts version of George Clooney.
"... But... I can't leave you, Alfred..."
Lucinda bit her lip as her emotions started to well up.
"I want the kids to be safe, but I don't want them to be without a father..."
Really, all of her excuses were crap.
She just didn't want to leave Alfred alone anymore.
He'd been separated from her so many times for this kind of thing.
She just wanted a little essence of a normal life.
Unable to control her emotions anymore, she simply burst into tears there in his lap.

Liena turned the small Ralts towards her so she could look him in the face. It was true, he was really adorable with the way those white bangs fell lazily in front of both piercing green eyes.
The cute factor would fade when he got older and be replaced with exceptional good looks and a suave demeanor. You could just TELL. He was gonna be a b*****d.
"Oh Arceus...another Alfred..."
Soren starred at her blankly, the occasional yellow spark of mischief flashing in his head, but he remained calm and motionless for now.
Oh ******** hell.
"They'll have a father, but I want them to grow up in a safe world...I have to fix the world first..."
He wished now that he had never agreed to be a guildmaster, that he'd told Arceus to screw off and left, but it was too late for regrets. Never regret anything, just keep pressing onward.
He let her cry, one arm around her waist and the other at her back rubbing comfortingly as though she were a child.
He had to think of a valid excuse for this...he couldnt tell her the truth...that the enemy was already in the tower, that they were at war with God and his soldiers.
"If anything happens it'll be directed here first. Sasha and I can handle it just fine but I dont want the kids here and they'll need their mother."
He raised a hand to pull her glasses from her face and give a light smile.
"Everything will be fine, mon amour...I promise."
He just hoped he wouldnt be made a liar later.

"Hopefully his mother will be able to put a cork on that."
He really didn't know how Lucinda would react to the hordes of women this boy was bound to bring home.
It'd never been a problem with Mercutio.
Lucinda wanted to respond.
She wanted to say 'Alright, I'll go.'
But she couldn't.
She couldn't stop crying.
She buried her face in Alfred's jacket, sobbing her eyes out as if he were already dead.
The Gardevoir's emotions had been bottled up for so long, and now they were being let out.
All over Alfred's poor jacket.

Liena sighed and set Soren back down, the Ralts was gratefully to be released and crawled away to hide behind Mercy's cape.
He disliked this blue Gardevoir girl for some reason. Wasnt sure why but baby logic allowed him to hate her for no reason.
The blind Gardevoir was silent, patiently waiting for her to get it all out of her system. He hadnt realized just how upset Lucinda was over everything, now he really couldnt let her stay.
Not with what was bound to happen.
After what seemed like forever he dropped a hand to under her chin and lifted her head up so they were at eye level.
"Que vais-je faire de toi-What am I going to do with you?"
He joked, smile still in place as his other hand moved to brush the tears from her face.

"Don't get lost, Bucko," He said.
Mercy had heard of those "cool uncles."
He wanted to be one of those.
Take Soren out when he was a little older with that crossbow, aw hell yeah~
Lucinda's lip quivered a bit as she looked into Alfred's altered eyes.
She wiped her face and pressed her forehead lightly to his.
"I'm sorry..." She whispered.
"... I'll go..."
