Incidentaly, that was the fifth pub on that particular crawl. It was about nine O'clock at that point. That place is tiny, an actual converted beer cellar. This is a few months old, hence the shorter hair.

Hey, I'm only nineteen. I had shaved that day as well. The older one... well, I had had a few, and always look a bit odd in crowds. Somehow I always end up around people somewhat shorter than me... like that girl in front of me there. Her name happens to be Sarah. Same as four other people I know at Uni alone.

Anyway, I was looking for more photos I could post, but there aren't many. Most are of my friends. I have a lot of the guys from my college. The question is, how drunk do I go for? Quite, very or wasted?

I'm 19 as well. I've been told before I have a baby face. I do shave everyday, but, that hardly matters. Heck, I'm even in the Army National Guard. I've been enlisted for 2 years come the 27th of this month.

What is the point of getting drunk? What purpose is there to it?

I don't drink to get drunk. I drink to enjoy myself.

But I am at Uni, and there is a lot of drunkness around. I have many photos of friends drunk and that is what I refered to.

As for my drinking, I suppose I am a bit strange.

I enjoy the taste of beer. It is a nice drink. I enjoy it. I love whiskey. The flavour, the smell, the feel of the drink. The effects are not bad, unless you go way, way overboard. I don't.

I know my limits, and keep within them (other than a couple of past lapses). Most of my friends are the same. Getting absolutely wasted is not very common, and mild intoxication is not dangerous, particularly when everyone is fairly mature about it.

There are three things that you need for mature drinking. Experience - knowing yourself. Friends - knowing and trusting those around you. Inteligence - not, say, drinking and driving or doing something absolutely stupid that risks your or others health and lifes.

If the three are not in place in any situation, I will check my drinking radicaly. When out with people who I don't know so well, I will ensure I keep a cool and level head so I can deal with anything that may come up.

Most arguments against drinking are put forwards by those who have had no experience, a couple of bad ones, or have been told horror stories by others. While I have seen some truely horrific results of abusing drink, I know myself and those I am around well enough to spot warning signs.

Of course, my drinking is legal, and is done in very safe ways - pubs, clubs, house parties and the like. For kids it is far more dangerous. People who abuse drink underage are the ones who are far more likely to pass on those horror stories. Most people just have a few embarising stories and a few hillarious memories.
