Niphredil Ithilmir BlacksandBlues FINALLY, intellectual debating! 4laugh *cheers* Yay! *runs around waving flag* Yup.. and you just ruined it. xd razz *and suddently, the wands of this thread start to change, they open up and red flags hang from the wands, speaker burst out of the ground. Revolutionary music fills the room. People rethink what they have done. The world starts to change, new elections take place, new laws passed, new plans set, no more poverty, no more hunger. All politicians become true communists. People get work, people cheer, happiness, paradise*
and then you wake up and see that the world becomes worse and worse, Dollar rules the world, poverty, prostitution, drugs, child labour, slaves, capitalism, corruption, illusion of democracy, false promises, repression, death.
People wake up!!! Organise!!! form unions!!! Defeat the enemy!!! End repression!!! End exploitation!!! Make the world a better place.Purple Haze Night Please stop being innocent fresh brain bait for communist teachers/professors and other avenues of communistic ideals propaganda. We have freedom...so far...to search the net and find testimoney of REAL people or photos of REAL people who suffer under communism. Sure...I've heard the REASONS the professors give for how this is not REAL communism...that the WEST has influenced it too much....come on... Poets make horrible bank accountants usually...philosophers make horrid rulers... Please...while you still have freedom to searh google...(remember...China's communism murders people who search what they are not supposed to online)... Also...would communists allow even GAIAonline? Peace...not forced do it my way peace or die... There was not even one person, who suffered under communism. Visit at least primary school first before debating with me

Whose post was that? I didn't see it. confused Got deleted? @Kenzu - don't use ad hominem, it just makes you look silly. Otherwise, while I agree that communism//socialism is not bad in principle, there ARE people who have suffered under the supposed 'communist' rule in countries such as the former USSR and China itself. I love my country; but I'm prepared to see the faults in it. Millions of people suffered hugely in the Cultural Revolution, my family amongst them - and I'm sure there are others here who have the same stories to tell. Communism just doesn't work in real life. Communism can only be achieved in dreams, dearie. Quote: Organise!!! form unions!!! Woah, heavy on the exclamation marks there. The very nature of human beings will not allow such universal organisation as you describe. What enemy? Capitalists? Yeh, right. Dreaming, once again. Besides, capitalism isn't all bad. Quote: End repression!!! End exploitation!!! Make the world a better place. One can argue that all communist authorities have done so far is repress and exploit the people. Kenz, I just think.. you're being a little.. idealistic.

Niphredil Ithilmir Whose post was that? I didn't see it. confused Got deleted? @Kenzu - don't use ad hominem, it just makes you look silly. I love my country; but I'm prepared to see the faults in it. Millions of people suffered hugely in the Cultural Revolution, my family amongst them - and I'm sure there are others here who have the same stories to tell. Communism just doesn't work in real life. Kenzu The rule of USSR and China was socialist. Comming from a socialist country you should know that.
And still the suffering of millions under the beasts Stalin and Mao was not due to a socialist system, but due to dictatorship. Read the first post. Socialism is an economic system, dictatorship is a political system. And here we are talking about economic systems.
At least I think that the majority prefers democracy. So our question is: Either democratic capitalism or democratic socialism Communism can only be achieved in dreams, dearie. Kenzu Of course, you know it. You ruled a country, tried communism and it failed. I doubt to believe that. If you have not tried, do not talk about wheter it is achievable. Quote: Organise!!! form unions!!! Woah, heavy on the exclamation marks there. The very nature of human beings will not allow such universal organisation as you describe. Kenzu You should thank the unions. Without them your mummy and daddy would have to work 12 hours a day 7 days a week. What enemy? Capitalists? Yeh, right. Dreaming, once again. Besides, capitalism isn't all bad. Kenzu It is not bad if you are not a human with a heart. If you wouldn't be heartless, you wouldn't want people to become homeless, people to die of hunger, children to be dragged into the sweatshops, army, prostitution, slavery. Quote: End repression!!! End exploitation!!! Make the world a better place. One can argue that all communist authorities have done so far is repress and exploit the people. Kenz, I just think.. you're being a little.. idealistic. Kenzu I might have exagerated by the enthusiasm, but you got the message.
Remember, claiming to be communist doesn't make you one. Stalin stopped being communist at the point, where the value of life fell below anything else.
For a communist, life freedom and well being of everyone is the most precious above all.
Socialist democracies are winning, cannot you see that? Venezuela Chile Bolivia
and the mighty EU (which seems to go in both directions at a time. weird)

I know what you mean ^^;; I was trying to say it in other words - calling yourself communist =/= being communist..
But.. I don't think it will become hugely popular anytime soon. The whole world (economically, militarily, politically) is controlled too much by the western powers (also not sure on EU, but I think it's still.. quite.. uncommunist).. and again, it won't work anyway.

My apologies! xd Well, what's better having a demoracy or a communism-ruled country? Would we be better off as a communist country, like Russia? With democracy firmly in place, people in Britain aren't earing communism no more, but should they be? Or would it be better as fascists? Okay, I know I'm wandering away from talking about the topic point made before, but meh, whatever... We need something to stimulate this thread anyway! 4laugh mrgreen

it's a shame that we can't have power divided between a group of people evenly. It's a shame that absolute power corrupts absolutely It's a shame that communism is just propaganda, brainwashing and opression It's a shame that the monarchy isn't effective for very long It's a shame that democracy doesn't work as it should It's a damn shame I don't rule the world. lol. rofl

@yalie - hear, hear! xD
@B&B - no country in the world is completely what it claims to be.. like Britain doesn't have real democracy - first-past-the-post voting is so skewed that a general election can be turned around by a few thousand voters; Russia is no more communist than China; facism..? Pfft. You can't get radical left or right wing parties into power nowadays xD

Actually, when you look at the polls, it seems that this guild is filled with commies. stare
I heard that 70.000.000.000 $ would be enough to feed the whole world for one year
PS: USA spends 270.000.000.000 $ on military each year.
