Said in the nicest way possible, my mom believes I should spend my day at home working on my assignments from school when I asked if I could just go see my favorite band, The Rocket Summer, at Warped today (being that for me it's already Saturday).
I understand she wants me to focus on my school work, but that's what I've been doing and that is what I will be doing for the next month or so.
Seeing The Rocket Summer and of course other bands today would have been the only purely enjoyable thing I'd do this entire break, BESIDES see my boyfriend. Yeah, that's how important it is to me.

But my mom is the one saying, Hey let's go see fill in the blank. She's been all party-mom the entire school year and now when it comes to summer she just slams down her iron fist? Seriously now. Wtf.
And honestly, since I've liked the band this is one of the first times I've heard of them coming to New York since their home state is TX. Plus its their first appearance at Warped Tour, its a pretty big thing for the band.

It's this afternoon, and in order to successfully reach the concert I must have two things: (1) a ride to the concert, and (2) money to purchase a ticket to get into the concert.
