Mark walked in and took the empty bed to the right. He sat down. " I guess there all outside for breakfast now." He slid his suitcase under the bed. Mark walked out and touched his necklace. He walked outside and began to walk around.

Gwendolyn walked into her cabin, rubbing her bracelet. She dropped her duffel bag and lydian drakon skin under a free bed. She sighed, and practically threw herself on the bed. Gwen was exhausted, mentally and physically. She still couldn't believe her father was a Greek god, or that he would ever date her mother. Maybe she was less bitter back then. She sighed and closed her eyes, hoping to drift off to sleep.

Erik sat up in bed and groggily rubbed the sleep from his eyes then proceeded to run his hands through his hair to tame his bed-head. He yawned as he got out of bed and changed his clothes before sitting back on his bed thinking what he'd do for the day.

Gwendolyn's eyelids fluttered open, sighing as she realized she was awake. Her dream had been nothing special really; just flashbacks of all the friends she'd left back home. She didn't really have too many, only Charles and Katherine, whom she had no doubt worried when she left her mother's home and ran away.
A sudden creak told Gwen she was not alone. She glanced up to see a boy sitting on the bed in front of her, no doubt her sibling. Silently, she sat up on her bed, running her hand through her honey blonde hair to dislodge any tangles. She really didn't know what to say, or felt like talking for that matter. Her sky blue eyes gazed downward as she cursed herself in her head for forgetting to bring a comb.

Erik was taken aback at the form that looked to him from the bed in front of him. Looking back at her silently made him feel bad that he was behind on his duties as the Cabin Counselor. Here was his sister, but he hadn't even met her yet, let alone shown her around camp like he was supposed to. Perhaps a late meeting was better than none. "Uh, hey. The name's Erik."

Gwendolyn glanced upwards when Erik spoke, biting her lip, a nasty habit of hers. "Gwendolyn," she replied simply, not really being a morning person, even though it was technically the afternoon. She kicked her sneaker aimlessly, not really thinking about the motion, until it hit something that felt hard as iron and soft as a feather at the same time. She glanced down inquisitively to see a Lydian Drakon skin, folded neatly by her feet. She wondered if she had out it there or if the tree nymph, Daisy had. Gwen didn't remember much more than fighting the monster with seemingly natural ability before passing out on the crest of Half-Blood Hill. Humph. Lost in her thoughts, the daughter of Apollo fingered the charm bracelet on her wrist, almost forgetting about her half-brother's presence in the room.

Erik thought she seemed preoccupied as she only said her name. Normally they'd at least say hi in return. His thoughts were confirmed when she glanced down at something on the floor near her feet. Shyly, he itched the back of his head, unsure of what to do next. He couldn't tell if she actually wanted to talk or if she wanted to be left alone. Since his people skills were less than accurate, he'd always had a hard time reading body language, and subtle hints. He sighed and asked: "Should we just chat later? You seem a bit preoccupied... or at least lost in thought."Sorry if my replies seem to take forever, I'm usually busy in a forum, but I'll try to reply faster in the future.

Gwendolyn looked up when Erik spoke again, smiling shyly in embarrassment. "Sorry. I'm not used to sharing a room with others, so I tend to drift off a bit. Do you know what I should do with this?" she asked as an afterthought, poking the Lydian Drakon skin with the toe of her shoe. To be frankly honest, the daughter of Apollo didn't want her brother to go. She wanted him to explain to her about camp, about the monsters, and ... about her dad. Getting to camp had been enough to make her believe she was insane when a male voice began speaking to her in her head, just after she'd left the borders of New York into Manhattan. She supposed it might have been Apollo, or some sort of hallucination her mind had made up. Although, it had sounded fairly real to her. Gwen really just wanted reassurance that she was not crazy, actually was the daughter of a Greek god, and had to stay at camp to train herself against a horde of bloodthirsty monsters. If Erik actually said as much, that day would be the highlight of her life.

"It's alright. You'll get used to it. Transitioning from life outside to life here is probably one of the weirdest things you'll ever experience." Erik chuckled lightly, remembering how weird it was for him to get used to the fact that his Dad was a Greek God. It took him months to grasp the idea, then once he got used to it, it took him longer to get used to being around others like him. Children of the Greek Gods... He came out of his spacy thought process when he heard her question. He glanced at the object she was pointing to with her foot. It took him a few seconds to realize what it was. He asked her for confirmation, just in case he was wrong. "Is that Lydian Drakon skin...? If I were you, I'd keep it. It's valuable and it's practically invincible. If you wore that during a battle, it could save your life."
Yes, please.

Gwendolyn smiled at Erik that just screamed all the charm and charisma of her father. He seemed friendly, much friendly than most people she came in contact with. The blonde could feel herself physically relaxing around her brother, more so than she had around anyone in quite a while. It felt ... nice, sitting with him? She looked back down at the skin, before leaning over to pick it up, setting it on her lap. Practically invincible, huh? She ran a delicate finger over the skin, which felt smooth and light. Experimentally, she rapped her knuckles on the surface. It made the sound you would get if you tried the same trick on solid iron. Note to self: don't trip on this. She stored the skin carefully under her bed, saying thoughtfully, "Maybe I can fashion into some kind of jacket? I don't really like the idea of lugging that around with me all day." ooc; So sorry it took forever to reply~! I'll be better from now on, at least until school starts. ^^

There Was A Melody Locked Deep Inside Of Me But Now It's Free...
Erik smiled right back at her, perhaps with less fervor, but nonetheless, he was happy that he'd made such a good start with his half-sister. He watched as she tested the drakon skin, amused by her methods. At her suggestion of making the skin into a sort of jacket, he piped up. "You'd have to take it to the armory and see what they could make it into." He almost suggested that he could take her there, but he didn't, convincing himself that she'd probably want her personal space. The last thing he wanted to be was an over-bearing half-brother. She could find it by herself, right?
It's alright, no need to apologize~

Gwendolyn crossed her ankles, tilting her head thoughtfully. She had arrived at camp mere hours before, a golden lyre appearing above her head the moment she made it past the camp borders. Soon after, she had collapsed in the hands of a tree nymph, waking up in the infirmary. One of the campers had pointed her in the direction of her cabin, but she hadn't been paying attention to the scenery. No doubt she would be quite lost were she to step one foot outside. Gwendolyn fingered her charm bracelet, hoping her brother was as nice as he seemed. "Could you take me? I really don't know much about this place ... "

Erik smiled, delighted that she'd asked for help. He didn't know how long she'd been here, but it couldn't be too long since they hadn't met before. He wasn't THAT far behind on his duties. "Of course I can show you where it is." He got up and headed for the door of the cabin. Once at the door, he glanced back to Gwendolyn. "Just follow me."

Gwendolyn smiled, relieved that Erik would show her the way. She slid the Lydian Drakon skin out from under the bed with her foot, careful not to accidentally slam her toes against it, which would have been very abusive towards her feet. She bent over and gathered the oversized skin in her arms, blowing a strand of honey blonde hair from her eyes. Happily enough, she jumped to her feet and followed her brother out of the cabin to the armory.
ooc; Post first at the armory?

Stella walked in to her cabin, not seeing anyone. She sighed and set her duffel bag down. In it contained a guitar, some clothes other than her favorite outfit, a drawing of her dream bow, some photos of friends, a diary and best of all, her iPod she's kept secret. She sighed and sat on the bunk next to her bag and started to unpack. She posted the pictures next to her bed and set the guitar on its stand at the corner of her bed. As soon as she was done, she decided to head out to explore the camp. (EXIT)
