The movie was so messed up. I was laughing my a** off in my head XD

1: Like my friend said "ZUKO IS A MORROCAN D;". He's actually Indian but I got her point. Zuko should've been something like Korean, Chinese or Japanese.

2. Sokka .. omg so liveless.

3. Katara is so .. not Katara.

4. Aang is to serious ;_; not like the animated version.

5. A GIRL with the Air nomads? .. That's weird XD

6. Zuko's uncle isn't how he should be(he doesn't even have a belly). WHILE the monk was dark skinned and big XD

I thought the movie was good for a movie.

Had I not seen the animated series before watching the movie, I would be able to tell you that it was awesome, but I cannot do that. It's kind of like when people say the book is so much better, except more stressed in this case.

The actors were all.. bad. I can't even see how most of them got jobs as actors. I especially disliked the main characters. None of the three fit their characters that well at all.

Zuko was a big disappointment, but so far he is my favorite movie character. Iroh was okay, but again I wish he was different. He wasn't the awesome Uncle from the show.

No kiyoshi(sp?) warriors was a minor disappointment as well.

I'll definitely watch any of the movies they make, but it was a big letdown for me when I watched it on the big screen.

Like I said before:
M Night shouldn'thave taken the movie under his wing. To get even more money he put it in 3d format without filming it in that ratio, making it look muddy and terrible.

Katara was lifeless and pathetic. Sokka wasn't anything like he should have been, because the actor from Twilight who played him wanted to make him more serious. Ugh.
I liked Iroh, he seemed like the best character out of all of them, displaying base emotions.
Aang was a wimpy whiny pathetic child. Nothing like the fun loving but guilt ridden character they created him as. I liked how they did his tattoos, and how the actor moved when he performed his bending, but the end of the movie made me want to throw a rock at the screen. Instead of taking my anger out on the poor theatre who thought they were showing a simple movie, I would rather show M Night my exact feelings about how his movies in general have taken a terrible turn down the toilet (come on, he's gotta give himself props by copying King and Lee by making appearances in his films, and not the 'Where's Waldo' appearances the others make but the 'I'm a character that gives you VITAL INFORMATION bs'

To say the least I was very unhappy with this. It wasn't the fault of the actors (though many of them should go back to flipping burgers or looking like a brick in Twilight BS movies. (I hate twilight..hahaha)

I would say there was about a 3% good in the movie, and that was Zuko's Blue Spirit costume. That was about the only thing I thought was cool about it. Elsewise, it was crap.

My beefs with the movie were as follows, and no, these aren't in favored worst to best. XP They just are.

1.) Aang was far too serious

2.) Characters in general were far too different

3.) Took WAY too long to form a bending move.

4.) Zuko had too much hair on his head.

5.) Plot holes so big you could drop Saturn through it.

6.) Lack of the Kyoshi Warriors

7.) Quite frankly, and this is a minor fault, Ozai and Zhao looked Terrible. Then again, so did most of the characters.

Tine Ghealain
NOTE: I haven't seen the movie. My sister has (granted, she hasn't watched the entire show -or season- so she wouldn't be all that judgemental) but I watched the "Avatar Revealed" mini on Nicktoons. Saying this, I don't know all that much about it aside from the mini-show and reading reviews. I LOVE the cartoon though, obsessively... so I'm not sure if I'll go and see it if it really is as bad as some of the reviews say (some are comparing it to Eragon, Golden Compass, and The Dark is Rising... all three are what I would consider the worst movie adapations to date...)

The major reason why I'm unhappy, even having not watched it, is their casting.... could they not get some wigs? A bald cap and a pony-tail-wig would have been SOMETHING for Zuko. And Iroh...... *sighs*

I probably would put up with everything that erritates me and go see the movie if he had included the Kyoshi warriors, which he didn't, which makes me irked.

A last note on the whole "needing fire to firebend" thing, I always assumed they drew the fire from the life within themselves, like how Katara and the witch-lady can bloodbend. The Sun Warriors talked like firebending came from the sun, that it is in all life.... so why exactly would it make sence for them to NEED a source of physical fire? People don't have rocks inside them, so you would NEED a rock to earthbend. People don't have air in them (except for when you breath) so you need air to bend (or exhale, using the air you just breathed...). You need water to waterbend, yes, but you can also bend the water in someones blood. SO WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO BRING FIRE WITH YOU WHEN FIRE IS THE SUNS ENERGRY/LIFE?!

Also, if time was an issue and they didn't want to make more than one film for each book, they could have planned for an extended edition DVD like LOTR.

Shymalan said that he thought the firebenders were too powerful. But that just means the stronger the enemy gets, the stronger the heroes would have to get. In the series, it worked that firebenders could've generated their own fire.
