"Yes, he's...my elder brother," Fiora answered Kayla, the pain clear on her face, even as she kept the sword pointed in the direction of the Divine Knight. "Gwynn, why did you do this? What do you have to gain from all this bloodshed?"
Gwynn gave both women dark looks before starting over towards Fiora. "I was once the Vice Judge of Virgo, young squire. And, Sister, I have nothing more to say to you other than what is needed for me to leave with what I came here for. Where is the Virgo stone? Surely you have it... Isn't that why you disappeared in the first place?" He then drew his sword.
Fiora sword arm trembled for a moment, knowing Gwynn had always been better with the blade than her. However, assuring herself that not only could that have changed in the time they were apart, she also knew that she could not lose to him. Her posture, her stance, they all grew confident again. "I do not have it. Even if you were to kill me, you would not have what you desire," the judge answered. She then ran at him, their swords clanging as they hit.
As Tsunaimei fought the men that had been following her, Celine chanted the spell for Aegis, directing it upon the Blue Dragon. It was only once she had finished, that she heard and understood what Tsunaimei had said. "No, I'm unharmed. But...I cannot let you go without telling you. The enemy leader is in the cathedral, and so is Lady Fiora. I believe she intends to take him on herself. She asked that I go to the tower as well but...for other reasons." She then mounted the chocobo. "May Ultima protect you." With that said, the knight took off towards the tower.

"Lady Fiora?! But I thought... No that's impossible. I saw her fall from the cliff... I... couldn't save her...." Tsunaimei replied her voice quivering with guilt from one of the battles during the war at Duguera Pass. She clinched a fist in frustration. Shaking her head, Tsunaimei recollected herself. "Other reasons... Bah there's no time for that now. We'll talk later! You're in command of the forces there. May Ultima be with you as well Lady Celine." Tsunaimei said as the young knight took off. The blue clad Vice Judge looked at the cathedral and then at Bane once more. Her eyes still giving that angered glare to the blue clad mercenary.
Kayla was still completely flabbergasted by all that was going down between Fiora and her brother Gwynn. All the confusion made her head hurt. "Ugh... this is way too much for me to take in all at once." The young red head thought aloud to herself. The room began to spin and Kayla felt light headed. "Ugh... why is the room spinning?" She muttered as she fell to the floor in a feint.

Valthis wandered further into the battlefield ignoring many of the men who were attacking the order of Virgo. The men who dared confront Valthis felt the cold steel of his knife, or the burn of his magic. Valthis then Noticed the tower, and the swarms of armed men and women around it. "There...... I find him......there....." Valthis then began walking toward the tower.

Bane tried to sneak away as the mercenaries closed in on Celine but paused as Tsuanaimei had shouted back to him. "I didn't kill any kids or any young ones. But you have a point....I am still part of the attack...soooooo...." He shrugged and stepped aside as the Vice Judge took off. He looked back to Celine.
"Okay. Honestly? I think you have a better chance coming with me to aid your uh...Leader and your friend." He stated, pointing to Tsunaimei's fleeting image. "Staying here will only result in you getting badly injured or worse." Bane shrugged once more. "But that's up to you kid. I'm not gonna stick around either way." Bane then began to head off to the Cathedral.Dmitri paused and blinked. "My....apologies...." He stated, as he lowered his blade. He listened as Mer'loct interrogated the captured mercenary and shook his head. "A force this large to kill children! Over the stone!" He felt panic rising. He then took off towards the Cathedral. "Come! We have no time to waste!" Unaware that the tide was slowly turning, Delita continued to bask in the last report he had received of the victory over Virgo. He believed it was only a matter of time before Virgo's stone was found.
"Tell our spy in Leo to begin the seeds of rebellion." "My Lord, she has already done so. All she needs is the sign and the mercenary band."
Delita nodded. "Once the victors return, I'll send them off to Leo. Tell her to be ready and soon."
The guard bowed and headed off to issue the command.((edited))

Tsunaimei spotted Bane trying to wander away and head towards the cathedral. When the Vice Judge heard what he said about being apart of the assault on Virgo, She did all but snap on the spot. "How could you?! I'll make you regret ever being born! You traitorous b*****d!!!" Tsunaimei yelled as she ran after the sell sword. She charged her legendary golden sword with electricity while slowly closing the gap. The Vice Judge figured she was still too far away from Bane for her initial plan to work but she thought to try it anyway. "Lightning Stab!" Tsunaimei yelled as a bolt of lightning shot forth from Excalibur but fizzled out before getting within any real danger of Bane getting zapped. Tsunaimei continued to rush after Bane, her legendary temper coursing through her veins.

Celine looked conflicted at hearing what Bane said. She probably did have a better chance going there. However, both judge and vice-judge had told her to head for the tower. She reached into her breastplate to pull out the pouch that Fiora had given her, just to peek at what was inside. She wanted to know just how important it may or may not have been. To her utter shock, she saw a blue stone, or crystal, with the symbol of Virgo engraved in it. And this was without her even taking it out of the pouch. Quickly, the woman placed the pouch back where it was and decided she would go to the cathedral. If there were other soldiers there that she and Fiora hadn't seen inside, Tsunaimei may need help. Not to mention, she wasn't sure if Bane would attack them either. "Okay, I'm going too!" she shouted, working on casting Aegis on herself. Once she felt the effects of the spell, she winced seeing how Tsune mercilessly chased after Bane. "...I guess I need to make sure she doesn't get too carried away too..." she sighed as she directed the chocobo to go after them.
Inside the cathedral, a girl of approximately 15 cautiously made her way through the halls. So far, she had been able to successfully avoid anyone that came through, though she knew she had to get out of there. Knowing of a secret passage in one of the halls close to the main room of the cathedral, Gloria Aurelius quietly made her way there. However, as she got towards the main room, the sound of battle made its way into her ears. "Oh no..." she whispered, wondering if she'd be able to sneak past it or not.
Gwynn was surprised in that Fiora's skill with the sword had increased so much. They had been at a fairly large stalemate, unable to best the other. However, it was a moment's hesitation that caused him to be pushed back. "Dammit..." Gwynn growled as he regained his balance. He took this moment to back up a bit. "You've been learned from someone fairly good..."
As Gloria got into the entrance of the main room, she could see some of the mercenaries holding poor Kayla, even while unconscious. But, hearing an unknown man's voice, her teal eyes looked in the direction of Gwynn. He looked familiar to her, maybe someone from a picture somewhere? But, the woman not much further from him... The sight of her caused her to gasp as she instinctively moved forward a few steps before stopping herself. "M-mommy!" she cried out. She couldn't believe it!
Gwynn turned around as he heard the child shout, probably at his sister. He could hear Fiora yell for the girl to run, but the divine knight was much quicker, not to mention closer, and closed the distance to the brown-haired girl. He grabbed her arm and pulled her close, with his sword at the girl's throat. "Mommy, mm? And would this be little Gloria? Heh...I haven't seen you since you were still being constantly held as an infant." He didn't seem to have any problems with holding his niece hostage. He looked at the other mercs. "With that squire out, just toss her over onto one of the chairs."
Fiora's face darkened, her sword arm lowering as she could only stare at her brother's obvious apathy and merciless action. "Let her go, Gwynn! She's your niece," the holy knight said, her knees starting to give out. She had been away from her only child for two years and within the first moments of seeing her, the child was being held hostage by her own brother.
"I won't let her go until I have what I came here for. I know your connection with the stone, Fiora. Even if you don't have on your person, which I am about to make sure of, you should know exactly where it is. Now I'll ask you again: Where is it?" Hearing nothing more after a few seconds of waiting, he looked at one of his men. "You, search her. One of you other two, send the order for more to come in here." The trembling girl in front of him was quiet minus that sobs that left her throat. He almost felt sorry for her. Almost.

Bane had managed to barely get hit by Tsunaimei's attack and it was enough for the mercenary to pause and spin on his heel to face Tsunaimei. "Look! A job is a job and by the time I realized what the orders were it was too late to back out and call it quits! Your the last person I really want to hurt Tsunaimei." He had a feeling his words would not tide the holy knight over, but rather encourage her anger. His hand began to edge to the hilt of his blade, ready to draw it forth.
"Head back to the Tower Tsunaimei. Prevent more lives from being taken at so young a age. I warn you; I will not be easy on you should you choose to attack."More mercenaries began to fill in cathedral at the order of Gwynn. They blocked the exit and entrance, only moving aside to let their own in or out. They waited on Gwynn for the next command.-------------------------------------------------------------- Brynhildr smiled as the messenger delivered the order to prepare for the assault and though Alundra had kept a close eye on her, especially since word of Virgo being under siege, the dark knight had managed to confiscate a few weapons, armor and potions for the assault. All that was left was for the okay to be given. She smiled. They wouldn't know what hit them.Alundra paced the floor of the study in the monolith that housed the Order of Leo. She was worried. She had sent Dmitri to see what the King wanted as Dmitri for the time being was Vice Judge since Maluc had long ago disappeared. But he hadn't returned which caused to be filled with worry, panic and most of all suspicious. Since the war seven years ago, Alundra had become paranoid over her two allies, especially Brynhildr.
Now with news trickling down that Virgo was under siege, it did little to quell the growing fear within the Paladin of her utter fear that the King had lost his mind and was now after them; trying to start the war once more for the stones. She bit her lip and looked out the window her mind whirling with thoughts and ideas for defenses and for an upper hand in the fight she believed was drawing closer.

Hearing Bane talk only fueled Tsunaimei's rage further. She didn't care what his reasoning was for being apart of the attack against Virgo. Not that she held him on high esteem to begin with from previous dealings with the notorious soldier for hire. "As if you could... You're as good as dead Bane! I hope you enjoyed what you did here today. For it will be the last thing you'll ever do in your sad pathetic life!" Tsunaimei yelled back as she continued to close the distance between them. The enraged Holy Knight fired off another Lightning Stab at Bane. As she ran closer to him, she saw that a huge contingent of enemy troops form up at the cathedral. Tsunaimei knew that if she had any chance of making it to the cathedral then her fight with Bane would have to be a quick one. It wouldn't be long before the lack of rest and intense traveling caught up with the blue haired Vice Judge. Time was against the heroine of Virgo and she knew it all too well.

Celine moved the chocobo between the vice judge and her quarry, the female knight looking just a tad nervous. Tsun's wrath was pretty legendary after all. She could see guards at the entrance now that weren't there before. "Lady Tsunaimei, wouldn't it make more sense to have Bane repent for what he's done by fighting with us and drive out the enemy force? We could use every sword arm we can get," she said, looking determined. "If what he's done isn't satisfactory to you, then after the battle is finished you can deal with him then."
She may have been stepping over her boundaries, but it just made more sense to have one less enemy, let alone gaining an ally.
Dominic picked up his shield from the ground once he gave Dmitri a thumbs up. "So long as we're on the same page here now," he said as he listened in on the interrogation. "The only thing about them coming here for the stone is that it's not even here so they're outta luck. And if he's got more men in this tower, it's below us. I took care of the ones above, and other than that, Virgo still has control of the higher levels of the tower," he said, going over towards the stairs leading down, deciding Dmitri was right in that they needed to go now. "We need to hurry to the cathedral then. If we can get the enemy commander to rout, the others should follow. You can come with you so choose." With that said to Mer'loct, the White Phoenix member ran down the stairs and out of sight.
Fiora offered no real resistance aside from glares as the ordered mercenary started to search her for the Virgo stone. After a time of searching, the man shook his head and gave up. "She doesn't have the stone, Ser."
"As I said," Fiora stated. "I don't have it."
With the extra men in the building, Gwynn no longer had his blade against Gloria's throat. However, he still had a grip on her right wrist to make sure she didn't try to run off if she was needed. "Well then, Fiora. I believe I told you that if you didn't have it, you certainly know where it is. Ever since you became judge you've been able to feel the whereabouts of the stone. You will take me to where it is, or the girl will die."

Valthis was now close enough to see many of the attackers surrounding the Cathedral in the distance. "There?..... Is he there?...." Valthis asked himself before turning toward the cathedral.

Bane growled. Before he could even counter attack, the Lighting Stab hitting him squarely in the stomach and his body twitched from the lighting, the girl had stepped between them. "There's nothing you can say that'll deter us from battling one another. This will be settled here and now!" With that, he shoved aside the chocobo and drew forth his blade, DeathBringer and launched an attack of his own.
"Sanguine Sword!"

Tsunaimei immediately stopped in her tracks as Celine moved in between the two combatants. "Celine! I thought I told you to go to the tower! Get over there now! That's an order! This b*****d doesn't deserve to live another second! Now get out of my way!" The Vice Judge yelled at the brunette riding the chocobo. This momentary distraction provided Bane with the perfect opportunity to gain the upper hand on Tsunaimei. The Holy Knight noticed the area around her grow darker and then saw a red blade of energy shoot upward. A sharp stinging sensation surged through Tsunaimei's body as she let out a shriek of pain. She felt a bit more drained than usual as the attacked forced her onto a knee. "Heh... you've gotten stronger since the last time we fought. Still I'll show you no quarter for your crimes against Virgo! Prepare yourself!" She yelled as she charged at Bane aiming a diagonal slash coming from the right side downward to the left.

As he let the successful attack heal him, Tsunaimei moved in to attack. Bane moved aside, getting nicked on his abdomen, as for some odd reason, he didn't wear a complete armor set. What Bane did not realize at the moment was that the blade had hit deeper than it appeared and it would be a few minutes before he would bleed badly; he had excused it as a minor cut. He charged forth with his own diagonal slash, left to right, hoping to hit a leg.
"I've taken time to practice and study the arts of a dark knight Tsun. I'm not going down so easily!"Dmitri growled as he noticed a band of mercenaries flood to block the entrance. "I bet the leader is inside, hiding behind his minions!" He clenched his fists. "Coward! Hiding behind others!" ((edited))

Tsunaimei let out a grunt as her blade clashed with Bane's in a successful block. "It's a shame you decided to tread the path of the fallen. I guess it's no surprise that you would make it a point to destroy that which is good in the world." Tsunaimei replied. She quickly twirled around and swung horizontally then followed up with and overhead strike.

"Dammit Tsun!" He stated as he blocked the blow, blood gushing from his earlier wound. "I'm not out to destroy good. I'm doing a job, though I may not agree with it or believe in it! I need the money!" The overhead strike struck a spot between the armor he did wear; where his shoulder and neck met. He growled angrily as he swung his blade towards over with an overhead strike of his own and followed it up with a upper cut.
"If I was really out to destroy all that was good, I would have left no one alive! There is to be no survivors!"
