"We're in Nasewaupee right now." Gil said, looking at a sign behind them. "That's in Wisconsin, meaning you've been wandering for quite awhile..." he said, looking straight ahead and seeing a tiny portion of the harbor.

"Wow. I mean, yeah, I tried to keep moving, but didn't expect to come quite this far," She said, surprised and amused. "What did you do? I mean, you were on the sub, but...."

"Spec-Ops." Gil replied, looking down at her. "You know, operations that meant the difference between life and death for millions of innocents." he added, bobbing his head from side to side.
"Of course, then we have certain missions like the one involving the sub where we survey the enemy...VERY boring..."

Lottie smirked. "Yeah, you don't seem like the type who stays still very long."

"Never could be still for long...Even as a kid." Gil chuckled, also giving a smirk.
"This is ALSO why I'm not a sniper."

Lottie laughed. "Yeah, that could get messy. I couldn't sit still either, when I was little, unless I was reading. If I was reading, I was dead to the world."

"Anyone know braille?" Lottoie laughed. "That'd be a thought. Or someone could read to me or something, or books on tape or CD..." She shrugged.

"We have those too...You'd be surprised what you'd find when you're stuck on a sub for months at a time..." Gil said with a sigh.
"But yeah, we have a small library of audio books if you want to see them."

Lottie raised an eyebrow at his choice in words. She wasn't offended, just mildly amused. "If someone tells me which titles are which and I can find a player that works, I'll check out the audio library."

"...Yeaaah...I suck at accommodating people with correct words..." Gil sighed, slumping over.
Two miles to go.

Lottie's face fell as she felt him slump. "No! Gil, I'm sorry. I... can be a bit sensitive sometimes. I'll get better, I swear!"

"Well, you're being so kind to me, and all I do is cause trouble," Lottie said, guiltily. "I feel a little bad, like I'm taking advantage of you."
