Well, that was something to remember, but he let is slide for now, giving a short nod and gesturing the boy inside. "I'm surprised he didn't tip you over for it." He noted, mostly joking. Kazvask was not a small animal, and he was no stranger to his own power, though he'd almost definitely smelled the Tunnel snake.

"How is Viska?" Which was followed by the silent question of Where is Viska? (and an not fully conscious rub of his previously nibbled ear.

From inside Kazvask made an curious rumble that sounded particularly amused at this thought, though he didn't bother to emerge. Let Zeren come to him. It would encourage the boy to be respectful, but bolder.

"Wher's have an incredible sense of smell." Kazvar explained. "Most of their senses are actually pretty sharp, it's their vision thats... confusing."

He knew Kazvask could, if he was so inclined, actually go 'between' though the wher rarely chose to, but there was too much visual difference between the way they saw the world for him to readily request him to go someplace.

"And No, actually. He knows he's too large, and that you're no threat." He heaved a sigh, as though he were slightly unsure he should actually be pointing out that Kazvask, at least, could be relatively tollerant when he felt like it.

The watchwher if he received any broadcast of feelings didn't respond in quite the same fashion, seeming to prefer answering Zeren verbally with an interesting and softly silibant noise of interest as the large animal emerged into the light of Kazvars dimmed glows. Truthfully the glows weren't as annoying as a fire, but Kazvar kept them dimmed from respect, and because it kept his own eyes sharper for night time prowling.

"I wonder what she's annoyed at." Kazvar realized he was legitimately curious, something that surprised even himself, though he couldn't say he was going to miss being chewed on, then offered a wry smile as Kazvask made to take the Tunnel snake with a deliberate display of delicacy, though the way he'd shortly eat it wouldn't be particularly delicate at all. "Jealousy perhaps." He noted, eyeing the recovering flit.

"They're very vocal, when they feel like it." Kazvar offered this new tidbit with a shrug. "Though it may take outsiders time to figure out what they mean, it makes it easier for them to communicate, especially in Mine's, where they're used to watch for potential cave ins and bad air."

Let a dragon do that he thought proudly, shooting Kazvask an pleased look.

"Maybe she'll learn a lesson then." He added, regarding the flit. "...Now if the biting can be discouraged..." he added with a slight tone of irritation at the memory.

Kazvar glanced to Zeren again, visibly filing away the boys reaction to the Rockfall, sticking it on a mental shelf next to his earlier comments.
The boy's discomfort was obvious, though he was clearly trying to seal the wound as fiercely as possible.

"I'm pretty sure he'll allow it." He assured, stepping up and, surprising himself, giving Zeren a short pat on the shoulder.

Kazvask nosed the boy's hand with an soft comforting rumble, not entirely un-manipulative. Kazvar rarely interacted with other humans, and this one was not only interested in his partner, but brought nice things to eat, which didn't hurt.

Kazvar seemed to have turned his attention to a fascinating detail on Kazvask's paler blue shoulder spines. He still looked gruff. Kazvar's face was made to look gruff, but it was a little more forced around the edges, a little awkward.
"Hmmph. You'll make sure to pay attention to your lessons is what. No sense risking the wrath of the candidate master by falling asleep. I expect to see you on the sands the next time a clutch hatches." He commanded, snappishly.

"I don't you wasting your time." Kazvar grumbled, glowering at nothing in particular as Zeren gently petted the Wher's head. He rarely regretted snapping at people. It usually saved time, since most of them didn't like him anyway, though in this case he did a bit.

Maybe more than a bit, since he wasn't easy to get along with, and Zeren seemed to be determined to. Maybe that was what was making him uncomfortable...

Kazvask's head turned slightly, glancing between the two of them with a certain degree of calculated deliberation, and he patiently stretched his wings, flashing his eye marks, of which he was so exceptionally proud, again, though this time his gaze was fixed on Kazvar, who seemed to take some kind of more cryptic message from this gesture, as he turned an absolutely dour look on the Wher and said slowly.
"I. Am. NOT."

Whatever that meant.

"He..." Kazvar started to explain, then clamped his jaws shut, turning an evidently furious red as he glowered at the wher, who looked... amused might be the best word for it, but with such craggy features it was difficult to tell.

Kazvar's expression was similarly probably difficult to read, but there was a hint there of real embarrassment as he ground his teeth.

"He informs me that I'm..." He ground his teeth harder as he added. "posturing."

The Blue wher gave Zeren a slightly rough, apparently amused headbutt, neatly folding his wings again as he settled on his haunches.

"Hmph." Kazvar snorted, not convinced that Zeren didn't agree with his opinionated Wher.

...He wasn't fully convinced he didn't either, not that he was planning on admitting that to either of them.
