-Dessynea- How is it lose-lose? What if we hit a Mafia?
You and Allegro's staunch support of no vote is making me suspicious. "What if" is never a solid ground for an argument in this game. Yeah, sure, "what if you hit a mafia?" The odds of that are 1/3 at best, given typical role balancing ratios. I don't like those odds. The aim of the game is for the townies to win. makes it MUCH harder if we're culling our own herd so easily.

Let's see if I can find a proper analogy:
You get a box of chocolates. 6 chocolates are delightful milk chocolate.
3 a pieces of poop. It is difficult to tell at first blush which is which.
You HAVE to eat 1 already. Would you REALLY eat another without sniffing them out first?

-Dessynea- Wantcookie -Dessynea- Allegro Owwin Allegro really wants that no vote. He must really want that free mafia kill tonight huh. HUH ALLEGRO! XD oh shut up owwin you and i both know it's best to no vote on day 1 I have mixed feelings about voting first day but mostly I think it is a good idea. If we don't vote at all then the Mafia has a definite advantage, as opposed to if we vote and chance hitting a townie then they could possibly have an advantage. Though if we lynch a townie then the Mafia has twice the advantage. But I don't really see what makes the first day any different from the rest, there is always a chance we will lynch a townie. It's a lose-lose for the townies on Day One, Dessy. So I'm taking the route with the least casualties. No Vote. How is it lose-lose? What if we hit a Mafia?
You and Allegro's staunch support of no vote is making me suspicious. Either way, the Mafia will kill a townie. If we wait a while, we might have some information to use. Suspect me if you must, but the chances of pinning a Mafioso at random are pretty small, especially if they help steer it away from them.

Anyway leaving to drive. I'll be on before midnight but I am not sure how long before midnight.

Listen to how they post. No not me. I am totally a delightful milk chocolate and not a poop chocolate. Why would I be a poop chocolate. Honestly. I am gonna use that analogy forever.

im with dessy i feel uneasy about not lynching and lynching the first day. i mean if we do lynch and hit a townie that's bad for us and the mafia is a step closer to winning, but if we don't vote they still get a step ahead because they lynch one of us anyways. it seems no matter what we do the mafia gets help, but then again its not 100% that we will hit a townie and there is still a good percentage that we could hit a mafia.

Fathulu here. I have a life, sorry.
I read up and I don't know if I should just follow through with my usual random accusation, there are what, 9 players?

Sucks to be townies on the first day. Nothing to go off of.
I understand the no vote first day opinion. At least on the second day, even if you are down a player, you know something, with investigations or whatever. However, it still isn't always much.

I just don't understand how it's a hard argument. I'd rather have only one guaranteed dead townie (if we no vote), than a dead townie, and more probably a second dead townie (I dunno what kind of Math Amber took, but 33% chance of nailing a mafia member isn't what I'd call "Good.") We need to limit our early game casualties.
