Amber snuck in through the window. She then took a seat in the back of the room, hoping no one saw her come in.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC://And...Amber just triggered the wards. ]]------------ As soon as Amber took a seat, the entire room blurred as though there were a heat haze. The wards first sensed that the door was locked and then detected that Amber had not accepted the agreement that Tetsuia had asked. With a flash of light, Amber was no longer in the classroom.
A familiar loud splash would be heard as Amber was teleported above the lake next to the classroom.
Without even a glance to the lake, Tetsuia said loudly so that even Amber outside could hear,"And, this is why, class, you should always do the polite thing and use the front door."
Acting as though nothing happened, the man said, "So....going back to my previous question, anyone want to take an educated guess?"

Amber got out of the lake and trudged to the front door and opened it. She was soaking wet. She smiled sarcastically and sat down. "Good morning Mr.Tetsuia." she said pretending to be polite.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC://]]------------ As soon as he saw the Amber's sarcastic smile, Tetsuia glanced longingly at the door, the intent obvious for those who stayed for Tetsuia's explanation about the wards, thinking about whether he could close the door and make it look like an accident. Releasing a sigh, the man looked over at his newest and his very wet student, asking.
"Raise your hand if you agree to both listen to all of my orders and my subordinates orders without question and promise not to perform anything you have learned without supervision," he said, "If you have any questions about why, I suggest you ask now."
His gaze on the other students was obviously checking if anyone had an answer to his previous question.

"Thanks." she said rolling her eyes. "I guess. Who are you anyway?" she said sitting down again. She heard the teacher ask a question and raised her hand. She wasn't going to be able to practice her skills if she didn't atleast pretend to be interested.

There was a slight shifting in a particular desk, as the wet person came back in. "Is it because you no longer acknowledge their existences?" The girl's hand was once again high up in the air, seemingly oblivious to the one a distance a bit ahead, partially blocking her view. And, though her face did not show it in a betrayal of emotion, Kailin was actually intent on learning something, unlike the girl attached to that particular limb; which did seem tempting in itself.
The thought of ripping (only) that part of the girl off in a weak bloody spray briefly came and went through the kelpie's mind, dying almost immediately. It had been a while since it had eaten.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC:// Ding ding ding. +10 points to the homicidal kelpie.
Lol @ XxXemo_hottie75XxX]]------------ The door once again closed shut, a temporary spattering of blue and yellow light glowing from the desks before dying down. Ignoring the student still standing, he looked over at the girl, nodding his head and looking at the desk before saying with a genuine smile, "Correct, Ms. Kailin."
"Illusions require one to acknowledge their existence," he said as he picked up a bronze ball and held it above the desk, "Therefore, even ignorance of the offending object can be just as useful.". He looked over the class as he warned, "However, to acknowledge that this object does not exist is notoriously difficult. By simply seeing it or feeling it, you confirm its existence unconsciously."
"In the illusions class, we will teach about defenses against illusion. One of them is to fully doubt with every iota of your being that the object is real even if the object is in front of you," he said.
Crack!
The bronze ball he was holding moved through his hand and went through the top of the desk, hitting the floor with a bang. He rose an eyebrow as he said, "Hmm...Knew I forgot to ward something."
"Anyways, we will be learning about the Mind Arts before then to perform such an enormous mental feat." He looked over the balls and wove his hand dismissively, the balls of bronze disappearing without fanfare.
---------------
"Returning to our description of the Magic Schools, Necromancy is channeling the energies of life and death," he said, "Most of you are probably familiar with zombies...or the English term, Inferi. However, Necromancy also deals with the soul."
"As I've said earlier, we will not be covering Necromancy in this class due to its volatility." he said with finality. "Mistakes in Necromancy have cost people their soul, permanently cut away from existence to be tortured for all eternity." Frowning, he sat back down onto the desk before returning his gaze to the room.
"Finally, we have Transmutation, essentially the School of Change," he said, "Most people are familiar with the subset of Transmutation which is Transfiguration, changing the physical properties of an object temporarily. However, Transmutation is so much more than that."
He brought his hand onto the piece of chalk he carried, saying, "With it, you can grant sentience to objects that never had them." The chalk suddenly sped off from his hand to slowly start writing on the board. "You can even change the physical conditions around you..." He slowly start to rise off the ground, his feet planted firm on the ceiling, "such as gravity or time."
---------------------------
"Now, I will being the safety lecture for Transfiguration," he said, "Inside the desks will be a ring. Wear it. It will restrict you to only transfiguring matchsticks into pins. Please do not touch the crystalline rods yet." He said, lifting the black-colored rod inscribed with runes. The room glowed a pale red as it recognized a command.
Walking away from the board, Tetsuia looked over the class as the piece of sentient chalk fell onto the blackboard.
'TRANSFIGURATION IS NOT PERMANENT.' "Can anyone tell me why this is so important?" he said sternly.

Amber slowly raised her hand. "So, if you are turned into a cat you'll know you won't be like that forever." she said shrugging. She was actually interested in what the teacher was saying she couldn't wit to learn about mind skills.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC:// ]]------------ "Given the information I had given, your explanation might've been feasible, Ms. Amber." Tetsuia said, "However, you're wrong. If you use Transfiguration to transform someone into a cat, they will likely be dead when the transformation wears off."
"Anyone want to take a guess about why this premise makes Transfiguration dangerous?" the man said as he again pointed at the words on the board.'TRANSFIGURATION IS NOT PERMANENT.'

It took a moment, in the resulting silence, for the girl to once again make an attempt; the man's directing finger at the words at the board only seemed to affirm what she was thinking. "If Transfiguration is not permanent, would that make the one subjected to it also temporary, even without any mistakes?" Her hand (halfheartedly?) was only part of the way up this time.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC:// ]]------------ The black board continues to have on it... 'TRANSFIGURATION IS NOT PERMANENT.' -----------
Looking over at Kailin, Tetsuia said, "Because Transfiguration, after a transformation, doesn't preserve the location of the body's organs and such. It just takes your mass and spreads it around." Elaborating, he said, "You might actually be wearing parts of your human brain on your fur, skin, some of your organs, and your eyes when you're transformed into that kitty cat."
"You don't notice this at first because the transformation does clone the brain...and everything functions as it should."
He then nodded his head, "However, transformed or not, we lose some of our mass...all the time. Our hair falls out, our skin flakes off , and we shed out lung cells when we breath. Even the oxygen and carbon dioxide in your blood during the initial transformation could've been from parts of your body..." Tetsuia's smile turned sinister.
"Now, you stay as a kitty cat for a bit, doing all those things I mentioned. Transfiguration ends, and you transform back." he said, "Keeping in mind what I said about your brain cells being everywhere, the stuff you lost shows in your organs having holes in them, you're missing numerous brain cells, your blood vessels are bleeding out everywhere." He then said with a tone of finality, "Obviously, you die despite Transfiguration being temporary."
-----------------------------
"However, that was not the conclusion I wanted you to draw," Tetsuia said, "And I would like to state for the record that there are spells in the School of Transmutation that allows you to safely transform into an animal...those spells won't be found in the subschool of Transfiguration."
He looked over the class as he pointed to the blackboard, "Now, returning to the question, why do you think Transfiguration being temporary can be so dangerous?"
