Reaper nodded back at him. "This shouldn't take very long at all." he replied. With that he left the room and tried to hurry down the hall. It didn't matter if he got lost in here. He could just stomp his foot and Edel would probably show up. This guy on the other hand...he wasn't too sure about. Edel might just let him wander about for her own amusement or try to keep him here. Could never tell with her. She wasn't exactly tied down to anyone, and she had a habit of...ugh.
He passed by a room or two, then noticed someone inside a smaller room and stopped to look inside. It was the goddess. Looked as though she was just getting over whatever shock that blast would have caused. He was fairly surprised Edel hadn't come down to completely take care of her. She had to have been busy to pass up that opportunity. Turning out of the room, he kept going until he found a large staircase. It was still rather lit...might as well try upstairs.

Steven watched him leave, then let out a long, slow breath and sank down into a chair. So... he got himself in over his head for the billionth time, got himself killed, miraculously came back to life in an alternate reality, and what did he do with his second chance? He got himself into yet another insane situation. Naturally. He just sucked at saying 'no', didn't he?

Reaper continued up the grand staircase, then rounded the corner once he reached the top. A woman with dark ringlets met him, and he stopped within inches of plowing right into her. Jeeze...he didn't even sense that anyone was up here. He was hoping it was just the magic of the whole house. It was going to be a pain if he had to get used to this again.
Edel stared back at him with a bit of a blank look on her face. "Michael?" she said quietly.
The duplicate that was walking behind her stared just as blankly over at his original.
Reaper frowned. "Yeah...so...I have a bit of a problem. And I need someone who has the ability to take care of it."
Edel just blinked. What on earth happened? Was she that preoccupied with Richard that she was just...paying absolutely no attention to anything else? "Of course. Just tell me what's wrong."
Reaper hesitated for a moment. It should be nothing, but he felt like he was tattling on a bully or something. Ran straight to mommy. Ugh. He was kicking Rapture's a** the next chance he could. First things first though....
Inside the other room on the same floor Strange was on, Alcina was finally regaining her basic abilities. She blinked as the room around her became less and less fuzzy. She could hear something ticking...at least it wasn't ringing anymore. As her vision became clearer, she noticed a large grandfather clock in the corner of the room. She wasn't sure how everything was coming back to her so easily now, since she couldn't seem to be able to do it herself before...but she could care less. She could see again. Hear...feel...and she was alive. She hated to think about it, but she was lucky that those other two had come to her before she did that. With what power she had at the time, and the blast being completely trapped in the room with her...she probably wouldn't have made it.
With a long, shaky sigh, she looked around the room. She was alone in the room, but it felt like there was something else there. Something...familiar. It felt like Xiao...but...she doubted it. This was a room on earth...full of magic from the feel of it. He didn't come to save her...that was someone else. So he couldn't be here now.
Gripping the blanket around her a bit tighter, she slowly made her way out of the room to walk down the hall. Just...just to have something to do. Find whoever was in here and thank them. ...odd...there was another familiar presence in the house. But she kind of doubted it was real either. He was still missing as far as she knew. She didn't do anything to help bring him back.

Strange felt her at about the same time that she felt him, although he naturally had no idea what she was, and was inexperienced enough to be unsure if he was really sensing anything at all. He looked up, frowning very slightly, and very nearly called out experimentally, but checked himself before actually opening his mouth. This was a rather intimidatingly complex magical working after all; messing with things when he didn't have to was probably just short of being actively suicidal.

Alcina drew closer to the room down the hall, and the presence got stronger. Blinking, kept her focus on the door and continued towards it. It was very likely that her abilities were still on the fritz. Maybe she was feeling things and just...getting them mixed up for other people. There was...someone in the room though. Wouldn't hurt to check, right?
She came to the corner of the doorway and stopped. Hesitantly, moved around the corner of the doorway to look inside.
And just stood there staring for a beat.

He saw her, blinked, took in her rather stunned expression, and was immediately caught between the urge to smile and the urge to bury his face in his hands. This was going to get old rather quickly. "No, I'm not him," he informed the woman politely, "Not really, anyway. Sorry." He noticed that she was almost staggeringly lovely, but didn't feel any pressing need to flirt; it had been that long of a day.

Alcina paused a moment, then smiled lightly and looked away. A polite but almost...disappointed sort of expression. "It's alright. I didn't really think it was him when I walked down." she replied. She looked back up at him, her expression turning thoughtful. "How long have you been here?" she asked. He certainly wasn't here when she was in a better state of mind, so he had to be fairly new.

"About twenty minutes," he supplied wearily. Then he looked at her with some interest. "How long has this been going on, anyway? The way the energies of this dimension are twisted up... I'm honestly kind of surprised you still have basic things like gravity."

"Quite some time..." she replied with a bit of a sigh. "Long enough for all the chaos to settle down, straighten out, and the general public get used to travel through various cities like it were nothing." she didn't really want to say exactly how long...didn't want to really explain that one. She glanced back down the hallway a moment, then turned back to Strange. "Would you...mind if I waited in here with you? I really don't feel like roaming the halls or sitting in an empty room right now." Even if this wasn't the Strange she knew, she almost felt...better with him here. She was still feeling pretty shaky about almost dying. Stuff like that just...wasn't supposed to happen to someone like her. At least, not if she'd had her powers. Or status....hm....could she really keep the title of a goddess anymore? She certainly didn't think she was living up to it anymore.

"Of course not," he replied at once, gesturing to the chair beside him. The look on his face clearly said that he understood completely. "Can I ask your name? ...I... guess you probably already know mine."

Alcina smiled at him and walked into the room, keeping the blanket wrapped around her. "Alcina." she replied, then gently sat down in the chair next to him. "And yes. What few people on this planet that do have alternate doubles seem to have the same name." she said, tucking her legs up on the chair under her.

"That does seem to be one of the constants," he agreed, thinking of the Fantastic Four and their zombie incident. What could have caused something like this? ... Damn. He just didn't have the kind of experience needed to be trying to deal with this.

Alcina glanced at the floor and fidgeted with the corner of the blanket for a moment. She really wasn't sure what all to say. This wasn't the version she knew, and he said he hadn't been here very long at all. Perhaps she could just try to help him with whatever he needed since he was new to this world. She felt...a little obligated to. She didn't do very much for her Strange. Even now, there was....one...other thing she could try. But after the box....she didn't want to try it. She was...honestly afraid she would be killed if she did.
"...have you...been to the Sanctum yet?"

He shook his head. "Not yet. I'm the designated driver for someone who really needed to get here. The plan is to finish up here and then head over there."

Alcina nodded. "I may come over myself once things are settled with me. Or at least after I'm feeling a bit better."
