Thank you for those words of wisdom... it's like I tried to say. 'Hacking' doesn't simply occur for no reason.

Very interesting, Anatole. Thank you for the information.
The spyware and cookie reader thing piqued my interest (and not for hacking purposes, should I add...); can those be set up on profile views and user signatures? The profile editor lets you input CSS code... perhaps that's how they do it. I remember that a month ago or so Gaia had a little problem with scamming pop-ups, and I used to get them a lot when viewing this guild and the Music forum.

Most of the time, they can be embedded into signatures through images, if I remember correctly. The page tries to load the image, but the image is stored in a server that requires a validation... A "fake" validation if you will, designed to steal usernames and passwords.

Hmm.....very enlightening Anatole. I'll have to do some research of my own.
After all, I plan to do research on Computer Viruses and stuff like that.

I love how is it possible to do lots of different things on a computer, or a server, or a network, just by using tricky procedures that oft involve "lateral thinking". Things like this... if I remember correctly, the guy in the video made lots of pixel-sized tables arranged in rows -each row with the same amount of tables- and gave each table a colour. Just great.

"Lateral Thinking" is usually behind some of the crazy things you see in the world.
Not that I mind, I just find it intriguing.

Happened to me once. I had a really shitty hacker though. Lost some items but I anticipated it so I traded my rarest ones to my friend and I put some others in storage. Idiot didnt look. Plus, the best part was I told my friend "If I tell you on AIM to give me back my items,do it". Bout 10 minutes later she gets a PM from "me" on Gaia, and it said "hay u rembr thse items i sent you can i hav them bak". Yeah. Totally me,right? Anyyyyways. I used password recovery on my email and so this stupid idiot IMs me on my AIM going "hay what the f** man why you hak me?!" So I was all "Me? Hack YOU!? No,no. I just used Password recovery and youve already been reported seven times!" so then he was like "o okay man calm down" I got all my items back from a Mod a month later. So,what im trying to say is: Has she tried using the email password recovery feature yet? Edit: That will teach me to read all the pages in the thread before posting....
