Also, Deep Purple weren't the first Metal band, but they were one of the few who had the first "Metal" style guitaring and guitar tone. They were one of the innovators of Metal, but they weren't the first.

To be fair, he did say "one of".
Let's see, do I like Devin Townsend, or Devin Townsend? Pretty much a push IMO, though that's not to say they sound the same. Personally I always liked the name so:

I was just clearing it up since you and Volvy seemed confused as to why Shadowlit Facade had said they weren't Metal, I figured an explaination was due from someone and he hasn't been on a lot lately.
