"Ah ok, what's a two-legger?" Evidently that was another thing that her father protected her from, and considering Sonnets father also didn't like them that was more than likely. She would have to ask him later about that. Watching Sonnet for an answer.

His next question suprised her, yet at the same time it confirmed what she had thought, he only ever mentions his dad and never his mum, and when ever she spoke of her own family he tended to skim over the 'mother' part and focus on her dad also. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to have only one parents and so a part of her pitied him. She didn't want to rub in the fact that she had both with her answer, but at the same time she felt the need to be honest. "It's nice, except when she shouts at me." She offered him a warming smile. "Though I must admit since I have two siblings the same age as me I often get left out, Io and Mal always seem to get more attention than me. Which isn't a suprise considering how pretty Io is, she is also really smart. She picked up flying so much quicker than me." She blushed a little and lowered her head, "My dad has tried to teach me about four times now.... and the most I have ever managed was what you saw today." Not able to give him eye contact again she tried to cool her warm cheeks by changing the subject. "Then you have Mal, he is a handful -always looking to prove himself so my parents have to keep all four eyes on him most of the time to keep him out of trouble." She sighed a little. "Don't get me wrong, I love them all. They're my family after all."

Not able to bring herself to say anything else she fell silent.

Once again her mouth made a distinct 'o' as she listened about two leggers, she had never seen a really old soquili so she was imagining a horse standing on its hidn legs, wringles and saggy skin with a thinning coverage of hair and those horrible aging marks all over them. Yuck. No wonder no one really liked them. She would make sure to avoid them as well.

"Yeah I guess so...." She hated it when Maion shouted at her, she would cower and look at her hooves for hours afterwards. A small shiver ran down her back at the mere thought, though it didn't last long as his words caused her to literally stop in her tracks. She gorped at him in disbelief. He though SHE was pretty? He liked HER pelt? Posibly prettier than Io? Could she dare believe such words? When she looked at her own reflection she always felt so inferior to Io, yet here before her was someone who thought she was pretty. her heart skipped a beat before it started to pound hard and fast in her chest. She was finding it hard to breath, hard to think.

Scanning his body language she could tell he was being honest, and the soft blush upon his cheeks also spoke volumes. Slowly she tried to bring herself to speak. "Em.... eh.... thank you." And with her cheeks roared into a red fire of heat.

Chandra allowed an enthusiastic smile to cross her face as he nudged her, but deciding that wasn't enough she turned her head slightly and planted a soft whisper of a kiss upon his cheek while she listened. "I think you are perfect just the way you are Sonnet." Not sure if that was the right thing to say or not she decided it was the best she could manage, the glow from his compliments still laced her cheeks in a sutble rose colouring. She didn't think she could ever get used to anyone outside of her family saying nice things to her -afterall they had to- but when he said it she actually wanted desperatly to believe him. But that sort of confidence wouldn't just appear over night, of taht she was sure.

"So...." she said, looking away from him in an effort to calm her racing heart, she was sure it would jump out and hit him at any moment.

"You and me both". She said before she could stop herself, part of her knew it was a long leap to be anywhere near her father's respect and dignity but she would try, she loved her parents so much, to her they where what she strove to be. Strong, independant, responsible, a leader. It was a dream of hers.

Taking a last bite of her food she allowed the juices to dribble a little out of the side of her mouth as the rest trickled down her throat. It was nice. Licking her lips clean -not very lady like but she was only a child still- she giggled a little and faced him again. "We both sound silly."

"No. Not for that." Grinning at him, but deciding not to elaborate simply because she wasn't a hundred percent sure why she said it she looked back down the path they had come and then onwards to the area ahead of them. "Want to go for a walk with me Sonnet?" A seriousness crept into her features as she looked at him waiting for a reply.

Chandra smiled back before she could even stop herself, the seriousness vanishing as quickly as it had arrived. She giggled a little and then started to gallop playfully forward towards the line of trees that protected this area. She didn't know where she was going but it felt almost as if something was drawing her closer. Slowling down she came to the side of Sonnet and bumped him a little with her rump before chirping, "Wanna play a game while we walk?" She licked his cheek softly, finding a small chunk of carrot stuck there. She had done it so instinctively that her blush turned into a violent storm upon her face forcing her to look away and mummble an apology. "Sorry."

Deciding that she needed to be more confident around him she forced herself to look back, despite the pink that flushed her cheeks, even if it could only bee seen in her white star like markings. "Ok." She nodded, enjoying the short embrace and the warmth that filtered to her from him. "Basically it's called 'fast words', when my siblings first came towards these herd lands we use to play it. We take it in turns, I say a word then you say the first thing -no matter how silly- that comes to mind, then it's your turn to say a word." She paused for a moment seeing if he understood so far, "My Mummy said it's a good game to get to know what people are thinking and what they like." And part of her knew she wanted to learn more about Sonnet.

"Hmmm..." she thought about that a moment, "You can go first." It seemed only fair that he wasn't put on the spot the first time playing the game, especially since coming up with the word was usually less embarassing or difficult than thinking of the other word.
