I don't know. Roy, tell me when you can run Shoddy. sweatdrop To my knowledge, we're pretty much waiting on you.

Uhm...I believe I won't end up meeting the deadline since I still do not have a team ready. I just suggested one. I didn't actually have any intentions of joining yet...and if I did end up joining, I would be a trainer.

I've been ready, but I don't think anyone else has been.

Well, I talked to my old man about getting the issue fixed with my laptop, and...
...
He's deciding to wait until the last minute before he gets around to reinstating my antivirus. So basically, I'm stuck without my laptop for another few days. And after all this waiting, I still doubt he'll get to work on it by Friday. He'll probably never get around to fixing it and come Monday I'll be screwed over for summer school because my problem hasn't been resolved yet. And the reason I haven't already tried going on with my laptop to run Shoddy, or even make my teams is because everything looks like it's being run by the antivirus that needs to be renewed. No working antivirus, nothing else works. And frankly, I find that to be a pain in the a**. stare
But...I'll keep my hopes up and try to convince him to find some time to help me before Friday. Even though I tell him I can do it myself, he's insisting on putting the liscence under his name. Stingy b*****d. He's always complaining about why I can't resolve things on my own, when it's all because everything's under HIS name, not mine.
So yeah...sit tight for a little while longer. Or just start without me. I'll try to catch up.

Roy, are you guys purchasing some sort of antivirus like Norton? If you want to get your antivirus fixed now and show your dad how you can can resolve things on your own, try finding a free antivirus online. I run avast!, which is free for a home license, and it's worked excellently for me so far. I haven't hit any snags with it and it's a reliable program. My brother runs it as well, I could quote him or something but hopefully my recommendation is assurance enough.
So, yeah, tl;dr: Get avast! antivirus. (And yes, it always has the exclamation point.)

I use Avira. It has a free version and a pay for one.. The pay for one is the exact same, so it reallyd doesn't matter. Just grab an antivirus and your dad can stop his complaining.

I don't think you guys understood when I said 'no working antivirus, nothing else works'. When I say that, I literally mean NOTHING works. No internet, no shoddy, no iTunes, no roms. Nothing.
Thanks for the advice, but...it kinda won't work when you don't have the internet to get the stuff.

You can't just... download the install program on another computer, use a flash drive to transfer it to the OTHER computer, install avast! or another free antivirus program, and then get the rest of the stuff working?
It's really less complicated than you make it out to be, Roy.
(Do you literally mean no programs will run without an antivirus, or are you just unwilling to use any of those things without an antivirus? And most ROMs don't use the Internet, by the way...)

Even if I get the antivirus fixed, I can't connect to the internet. At all.
-just spent over four hours trying to fix his internet connection, and has remained unsuccessful-

o_O Then how in the world are you posting here? Unless you're on another computer.
And, uh, isn't reinstalling your operating system always a possibility? As long as you get all of the important stuff of yours on a flash drive or another computer or something, then you can get right back to how things were.
And antivirus doesn't seem like it would have any bearing on a laptop's ability to use internet. Try like, changing the router-y thing the laptop is trying to connect to or something.
Or, like, maybe try googling stuff until you figure it out. Or look at troubleshooting for some sorta internet or your laptop or something. :P
