I followed her lead, sat up and pulled gently back on the reins, slowing Toto to a canter. I pat Toto on the side of the neck and say to him. Well done, my friend. Congratulations you've won! Toto stops and rears back onto his hind legs, and whinnies loudly but comes back down quickly, for he is way to tired to be doing that. He trots up beside Amaya and Gigi. Thank you. I bow to her and smile.

Amaya laughed as Toto showed off, raising on his hindlegs, and shook her head. She bowed in turn to the patron. She slowed down the mare once more, ending up in a brisk, then a slow walk.
"You are very welcome, Kibakichi-san. I hope you had as much fun as I had!" she said with a smile.
"How about we let the horse cool down some more, then have a go at the archery targets?", she added, taking the bow from her back and untieing the string that had been wrapped around the tip of the unstrung shortbow.

I slow Toto down more, to slow walk. I nod and say. Hai I did, but I think these two enjoyed it more. I patted Toto on the neck agian, I looked at Amaya who took out the shortbow and began to untie it. It was only one shortbow. Um.. is that the only one you brought, is there one for me?

Amaya laughed a bit sheepishly. "I am sorry, but indeed, that is the only one... you see, there is no real safe way to carry such a thing on your person... if you fall unluckily, it might snap and pierce your back, so I just brought one. But we can take turns, no problem."
She hoped he would understand... last thing she needed was a patron getting seriously injured while taking a lesson.
"We also have enough arrows.", she added, pointing around her back at the bundle containing a full quiver strapped securely to the back of Gigis saddle, then continued stringing the bow, using one stirrup for support as she bent the ends to hook the string to the tip.

I nod and say, kind of coldly. No need to worry about me, I am as tough as they come. Can we park these two so we can get in some practice beforehand? I ask a little warmer so I wouldn't sound like a total jerk. My fists were clenched tightly.

Amaya shook her head and looked away, trying to shake the gruesome image of a blond young man lying on the ground, staring wide-eyed at the shaft of his own jousting lance protruding from his chest, that came to her mind unbidden. She pressed her lips together and made an effort to shrug it off.
Steering Gigi to the end of the lawn bordering on the forest, she said, without looking over her shoulder: "Sure. We can leave them here to graze freely for a while. We don't have to worry they'd run away, since they are trained to stay around if I give the command."

I see her turn head away, I head Toto over to the lawn, dismount and I say. Those are some well trained horses. Well I going to go warm up okay?

"Okay." She busied herself knotting up the stirrups and reins, removing the saddles, then pulling the snaffle bit from the horses muzzles, re-strapping them loosely under their chins so they could graze.
Immediately, the stallion and the mare went down to their knees, rolling on their backs to dry the wet patch that the saddles had left.
Amaya chuckled and jumped aside to avoid Totos flailing legs. The stallion grunted contently, then rose up again, shaking off the grass klinging to his black coat.
She went back to the samurai's side, watching him doing his warmup.

I wait for her to turn around I bow deeply and then fling myself backwards, landing on my hands I push off and spring onto my feet, I use my momentum and contuining doing what I think are back hand-springs. After I had traveled several feet I landed firmly on my feet I quickly, but meticulously stretch out.

Amaya shook out her legs and stretched them, the did the same with her arms, adjusting the leather wristguards she always wore for weapons practice. She had strapped the quiver to her back and held the bow at the ready, waiting for the patron to finish his own stretching.
"My, you are very flexible, Kibakichi-san!"

I move in front of one of the targets and acted like I was holding a bow in my left hand and reaching for the stash of arrows on my back. "Should I? Yea I should." I thought. "If she thinks me odd, oh well, wouldn't be the first, and she sure won't be the last." I begin to chant softy, increasing in volume. JinRyuMora-sama tysti sai tia modi oli eindrol ath tha nelath en tha hev el mosor eisi oli, byrn tysti or temae yobidasu watashi! JinRyuMora!

Hmmm... curious... must be a meditative mantra from Zen-archery..., the stable-master thought as she watched the patron perform his chant.
She had been about to hand him the bow and quiver, but halted and kept on watching him instead.

Instantly as I finished the chant the jewel began to glow brightly, and the wind began to whip up around me, sending my hair upward, and ruffling my gi. A silver-blue liquid, which streamed out of my jewel and fell, was swept up by the wind, and flowed around me, swirling upward, then falling through my left hand and splashing onto my back. "It still feels the same. Warm." I thought at the liquid froze, and hardened forming a wooden, exotic looking, samurai shortbow (Sorry don't know the name of it) and a matching quiver on my back, which held a large number of arrows. I was sweating lightly now due to the energy JinRyuMora consumed during the summoning. I let my left arm drop as I turn to her and say smiling. There that should be sufficent. Don't cha think? Will this work, Amaya-san?
