"Feo was... well, he was subordinate of mine. A... commander if you will." Drake said before Ali could reply, knowing that he would have nothing positive to say about the blob of a man that Feo was. "And maybe I'm missing something, Jaren, but... there was no little girl at that fort, was there? Did you see one? Where was she, Jaren?" Drake paused and looked at the boy disappointingly. "...There was no girl... Jaren. It was a hoax created by Learania's ruler; that twisted nomad. He sent you to invade my country under a false guise!"
Drake turned around dramatically to hide his face from Jaren, while he clenched his fist. "My people... killed. Slaughtered. For doing nothing. Is that what justice is to you?! Was it so heroic when you and your so-called friends charged through the sand, killing anybody you came across?!" Drake turned around, glaring angrily at him. "No, Jaren, my country is not evil. Yours is. And I should have you killed for being with my enemy!" Drake signed and then turned back around, now more calm. "But I won't. Ali has vouched for you. But even more than that, I pity you. Learania abandoned you. You were nothing to them. They didn't even try to help after they had finished killing every man in that fort, did they? They just left you there to die."
The bandit king stayed quiet to let what he said sink in to the boy, but also to increase the dramatic tension. The truth he mixed in with his fake emotion almost fooled himself. Finally, while still hiding his face, he spoke again, this time sounding very mellow. "...I want to stop them, Jaren. I don't want anymore to suffer because of Learania's actions. ...But they're strong. I'll need every hand I can get. ...Can I count on you... Jaren, Hero of Justice?"

Jaren stood still, also turned away from Drake in order to double the drama. Really Jaren didn't have much trouble believing his lies, he hadn't stayed long in Learania and had only made one or two friends, everyone else had picked on him or had been rude. They'd also left him behind in the desert, which had ended up with him here and now.
It had to be fate.
He had to rescue his friends from the evil clutches of Learania!
"Okay Drake... I'll do it... I'll help you" Jaren turned around slowly, tears welling up in his eyes. "A new allience of justice... oh Drake! Hold me!" He exclaimed loudly leaping towards the bandit Kings exposed back to give him a big hug.

Drake calmly turned around and avoided the hug, allowing the boy to collide with the pillar ahead of him. The bandit king strode back over to his throne slowly. "New Alliance of Justice... yeah, I like that." he said as he smirked. "I can see it now... the looks on the Learanian's faces when they see that one of their own has discovered the truth." He smiled a big sinister smile that was hidden from the boy. "I can hardly bear it."
The bandit king sank into his throne and looked at his two guests. One was holding his head while recovering from the pain of hitting the pillar and ultimately just acting like an inflamed moron. The other had his palm firmly squished against his face while muttering incoherent curses beneath his breath and likely wishing he had never brought the boy here at all. The sight of the two make Drake chuckle to himself.
"Oh yes... I have a feeling this is going to work out just fine."
