Kimie Kitty L'mur grinned, and as he turned around, spotted the tall, slender form of Kalya. "Oy! Kalya!" he called, harper-trained lungs carrying his usually soft voice. Kalya turned at hearing the familiar voice and smiled as she noticed the harper turned weyrling. "L'mur, I was wondering how long it would take to find you." She grinned lightly to show that she had expected such a greeting upon stepping into the area, knowing how gregarious he was. "I see you found the food already... or is this for me?" She nodded towards the platter before taking a morsal or food and then nodding again in thanks. Almost on cue Nicker skimmed into the bowl and landed on her shoulder creening lightly. "Or maybe it's for him..." She made a small scowl before turning to the flit. "I just fed you..."

L'mur quirked a brow at Nicker. "It's pretty clearly for him!" He grinned. The young man had become considerably more outgoing since his Impression. "We weyrlings get the "honor" of serving the guests tonight. My sister's here somewhere, and my parents were invited for the festivities as well." He nodded at a random passer-by, who took a couple of meatrolls from the platter. "Wine, Kalya?"

"That sounds wonderful, at least it will keep you out of trouble. Though I do hope to hear you sing before the night is up?" She took a small ammount of wine in her cup, not wanting to over imbribe this year. "I will get to meet your sister and parents right?" She tried to remember if she had met them before and had a feeling she might have met his sister but the times before Tarlith had become a little fuzzy, as if it was a different world.
Nicker finished the meatroll before creening a little softer again. Kalya made sure to keep him amused so that Roller wouldn't wake up. She had left them sleeping and wondered what had possessed him to rise.

"I may sing later, if Farin allows it. She's got us all on a pretty short leash this evening. Something about showing up the Candidate Master." L'mur stood on tiptoe, trying to see over the heads of so many people. "Jessmet should be here somewhere. I'm not sure you ever met her, she only visited me at the Hall once or twice. If you see her, though, you'd probably know it, since she looks a lot like me. Except that she's a girl." Extending the platter of meatrolls towards Nicker, he stuck his tongue out at Kalya.

Nicker squarked a little undignified and used a forlimb to grasp onto another enticing meat roll. With a happy churrup he sat back on his haunches and kept himself occupied for the moment. "I'll keep my eyes looking then." Kalya chuckled and managed to grasp at a meatroll herself. "Showing up the candidates master? Now that would be interesting if that was the case." Taking a bite, she savored the still warm meat before nodding again. "Well I have to admit, this is a very well organized affair. Even the firelizards are keeping calm tonight."

"Yes, the Candidate Master is one of M'xan's supporters." L'mur winced. He'd liked L'cian, and it certainly hadn't bothered him to have a brownrider as Weyrleader. Juggling his burdens, he managed to snag a meatroll. "We are pretty well organized. My firelizards are draped on Saranth at the moment. I've a queen now, and Jess got a bronze."

N'tren was moving around trying to keep trays filled and pitchers full. He had forgotten the rush of the kitchens and was enjoying every minute of it. He saw several of the other weyrlings in and out to pull orders and keep the guests happy. Grinning, he cocked an ear towards the Turnover Gather.
Are you doing well love?
Oh yes, N'tren! There are all my clutch mates and the bigger dragons as well! It is much fun! Can every day be like this?
"Not if I have to cook everyday. Taking care of you is plenty enough."
Taking a moment to wave to some other people he knew, N'tren went back to his work. Busy. Busy. Busy. ((HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!))

Kyira walked downstairs from her rooms to leave the healer barracks & step out into the weyrbowl for the Turnover Festival. She could hardly believe the Turn was over. Actually, there was so much that had happened recently that she was nearly overwhelmed by it: coming to Rias weyr a'dragonback after the queen's first flight, finding Fellis' egg, the firelizard's hatching, washing a bronze dragon & then to top it all off Aerith rose again! Feeling her giddiness, Kyira's little green lifted her head to trill softly in the journeywoman's ear causing her to laugh. Life was certainly different with a firelizard encircling her shoulders!
With trained delicacy she lifted the folds of her gather dress so her tiny slippered foot would not catch in it as she stepped into the bowl. Kyira loved the feel of the soft fabric against her skin. She knew the sea green and dark green of the gown accentuated her seagreen eyes perfectly. Her usual crown of honeyblonde hair only crowned once on this special event as the remainder of the braid trailed to her slender waist. Most of the other adults towered over her but the healer was undaunted. Smiling brightly she crossed the bowl to the area around the kitchens were wafted the smell of delicious foodstuffs. From the sound of it the music was being set up near there too. Already it was hard to keep her feet from tapping to the beat. Shards! But she loved days like this!((Happy New Year back at ya!))

Talare smiled as she watched the others around her, she felt some what out of place with being so new to weyr life, yet a Gather seemed to paint everyone the same. She Snagged a Meat roll from a passing tray andwas just about to take a bite when the little green Kamui appeared on her shoulder Squreeching in her ear. Giving a wince and turning over ownership of the meatroll to the hungery little green she laughed. "My arnt you a Bottomless gut?" She smiled and gave the green and affectionate scractch above the eyeridges.
Turning back around in an attempt to locate another bit of tastey food for both herself and Kamui Talare spotted Kyira, dressed in her fine Gown. With a Broad smile Talare stood and walked up to her, although feeling a little under dressed beside her in her blue Harpers tunic. "You look lovely this evening!" She grined, as Kamui dug her claws into her shoulder, a reminder she was still hungery.

Jupiter_Sabre Nevaeh laughed and nodded. "Well of course! What guy could resist the charm of two women like us, eh?" Nevaeh said giggling like a teenage candidate. She was too happy for her own good today but it was the turns end who wouldn't be happy? "So where shall we go first?" Nevaeh asked regaining her composure and trying to make herself look cool. Rinfala laughed along with Nevaeh, grinning at her comment. "Indeed. If they ignore us, they're fools, eh?" She looked around a bit and then pointed towards some food. "Why don't we grab a bite to eat first?"

Ariath sidled up to Tallith, happy for the browns company. In truth she really did not like Enelth. Yes, he was a strong bronze and would lead his wing well, but she did not prefer him as a mate. Tallith was much more what she wanted in a mate, not some smug bronze who was full of himself.
Ephia slipped in L'cians weyr a small smile on her face. "What brings me hear is the information that you don't plan on attending the Turnover gather. Why are you locking yourself up in here? Surely records can wait until the festivities are over." Her eyes bore into his while she unconcsiously smooth her dress out on her stomach.
Ariath rumbled quite amused by her rider and Tallith's. She was sometimes confused by the riders and their emotions for one another. They could be so fickle about such things.

Nevaeh looked over at the place Rinfala had pointed to spotting many delicious foods. "Now that's an idea! Let's go!" Nevaeh said with a brilliant smile as she moved towards the food practically bouncing as she came to the stand. "Now what looks good?" She asked Rinfala as she looked through the meats and deserts of all kinds.
Javareth watched Nevaeh from above as he settled on a nice sunny ledge that was seemingly unoccupied which Javareth was grateful for as he did not know many here and wasn't sure if any would want to know him. He himself thought he looked rather strange compared to all the other dragons around the Weyr. But he didn't care whether he made friends or not just that his was happy. Though any friend would be better than none at all.

Tallith was more than happy to see Ariath at his weyr's ledge and considered it to be a great honour. It wasn't often that a dragon recieved a visit from the most golden beauty of all Pern!
He crooned, extending his wings slightly and shifted slightly closer to her. You flew well. He complimented, for indeed the Queen was a wonderful flier who had given all her followers a hard time. Enelth had truly outwitted them all and outflown all his competitors. As much as Tallith hated to admit it, the bronze was a fine beast.
The rider however was not feeling so comfortable, beginning to feel himself already losing the battle to that look Ephia was giving him. "I'm not really needed at the gather am I? There's so much work to be done here and I'd feel much better if I got it all done." He gestured once more to the skins on his desk.
It was then that the brown turned his head around to gaze upon the riders, a rumble of dissaproval in his chest. Then when he spoke it was for both L'cian and Ephia.
He feels guilty for breaking his promise to his Queen.
L'cian gave Tallith a look of disbelief, not quite knowing what to say.
