Panther watched the Totodile frolic to the water, with a frown on his face. There were three of them, but that's not what had him concerned. He wondered if there was a Feraligatr near by, possible in the direction the Totodile came from. There was no need to fight the Totodile, they were just water type first stages, and definitely not shiny. "Think we will have any luck that way?" he pointed to the bush the pokemon had just come from.

Both Hercules and Kofuku watched curiously as the three totodile. They looked rather happy and completely unthreatened by the two Trainers and the two other pokemon. Her eyes narrowing, Kofuku stood up and brushed her bangs a little out of her eyes.
"I say we go where they came from. They looked completely oblivious of us, which means they probably feel safe right now. The only correct assumption would be that they have something more powerful than them near by. I vote for us to keep going!" She grinned to Panther; she had one too many Totodile anyways.

"Well I think you are right." he pulled out his pokedex and made a quick check. He was right, Feraligatr tended to live near the rest of their evolution family. He quickly put it away, content to have his guess confirmed. "Alright. This way then." he trudged toward the bush, looking for a path they may have used and being careful, knowing that they swam better then he did in this marsh.
Shade floated besides him, keeping close, just in case he was asked to do anything else.

"C'mon, Hero-boy." Grinning to the Totodile as he followed, Kofuku stretched as she schloped and sloshed her way through the mud, feeling it splash up onto her legs occasionally, but not really caring.
Hercules was grinning and making rather happy pokemon sounds as she splashed about, following them. Yes, he had a grudge with this trainer, but she had yummy treats on her! And if he was good, she was going to give him cake! That was enough reason for him to be playing nice with her for now; cake was good.

Blossom followed the Vaporeon, digging her claws into the ice she created to keep up. She maneuvered through the trees casing her vines to low hanging branches propelling herself easily.
Cal started to get the hang of skating. She hadn't been on ice in a long time and was slow to make simple turns. The trees seemed to be getting closer to each other, some of the branches scraping her face as she went by them.

Seeing Zach letting his Eevee scout around encouraged Leonard to do the same. "Seance, look around too. But don't go too far!" He called after the ghost Pokemon, who vanished rather quickly after he ordered her to scout. The good thing about Banettes is that they shouldn't be hindered by mud too much... but whether she would abandon them out of spite was a completely different story.

Now that the basic preparations were out of the way, Zach glanced over at Leonard. "Going back to what you said earlier, I wasn't referring to him necessarily, although he was pretty bad. You probably didn't see him but his friend came in from the swamp and... well he looked twice as wimpy as that guy somehow. No, I already knew Damon was out of the picture as soon as he tried to tell Seth he didn't want to follow his orders. He... doesn't really take well to that sort of thing."

Panther and Kofuku would find nothing as they went that direction.

As they walked deeper into the swamp, Mau started to notice the cracking sounds of the ice. It took his attention away from the trees long enough to get hit in the face by a branch, sending him crashing to the ice, cracking it. "Aki." He called to the vaporeon. It stopped and turned around, looking tired. "You did a good job, thank you." As Mau stood, he opened his lab coat, reaching to an internal pocket and pulling out couple small pink berries. Aki happily ate the leppa berries. "You don't have to make an ice path for us anymore. The trees are close enough together I think we can walk on them." He bent down to pet the vaporeon when the ice under his feet gave way, and he dropped a half foot into the mud.
With an irritated grunt he broke some of the ice away by hand so he could get to his feet to pry them from the marshy water. Aki slowly moved away, looking up at Cal, hoping for praise from her as well. Mau got one foot unstuck, but he had to practically dig his other foot out. But as he did, his hand brushed something hard in the mud. Normally he would have discarded it as probably something useless, but he pulled it up and looked at it before wiping some of the mud off it with his hands. He looked like he was holding a rock. "Odd." He wiped off some more mud from the stone and held it up for Cal to see. "Look, a root fossil."

As soon as Zach finished his sentence, Yasu ran back, going "Vee! Vee! Vee!" Zach looked in the direction Yasu had come from and spotted the 3 totodiles. "Good work Yasu." Zach then whipped out his pokedex to check their genders. "Alright, Yasu, use attract on the one nearest us, try to keep the other 2 from noticing and lure it towards us." Yasu nods, going to a nearby bush, and tries to get the attention of the nearest female totodile, winking suggestively at her. He then dashes back into the bushes and out the other side, where Zach is waiting.

"That's an understatement." Leonard scoffed, right before Zach's Eevee came back. Apparently he found some Totodiles... Which may mean that the shiny Feraligatr was nearby? It was lucky that they found them this quickly.
He reached for Seance's Pokeball, then remembered that he sent her to go scouting. And she still hasn't returned yet. Even when he called for her, quietly as to not scare the Totodiles away. Well, she either was too far away for her to notice or she left him on purpose.
Sighing, Leonard sent out another one of his Pokemon instead. Out came Omega the recently evolved Metang, who was chirping loud and energetically once it was released. It of course wanted to play with the Totodiles instead of keep them in line, but who said that it can't do both? "Scary Face." He commanded. If they were to run, they wouldn't run far after their speed was lowered.
Omega continued beeping as he hovered over to the Totodile and made the scariest face he could manage. Which wasn't much, considering that it looked silly than frightening.

One of the Totodiles, which happened to be a female, noticed the Eevee and blinked curiously. She started to wander in his direction.... but then the Metang appeared and made its Scary Face. All the Totodiles jumped in alarm and clung to each other out of fear! Then in unison they all spouted Water Gun at the steel type.

Zach turned to Leonard and glared, thinking to himself What the HELL was that? That was probably the absolute worst thing to do in that situation. We're lucky they didn't get away.
He then said, "Scary face effects all other pokemon on the field, not just the enemies. Which means Yasu probably got hit by it too." Zach sighed, was it too much to hope for to have a competent ally around here? Now they would have to fight the totodiles together instead of separated... hopefully the metang still had a little bit of fight left.
Zach then told Yasu, "Alright Yasu, let's show him how it's done. Use Double Team and surround the totodiles!" Yasu seemed a bit disturbed by the scary face used by the metang but nodded, and duplicated himself. He ran in 2 opposite directions. They moved independently of one another, but one was simply an illusion. The Yasus got into position, one on each side of the body of water relative to the totodile group.
