Tori knelt a little to grab the alphabet book off the table before settling herself into the middle of the sofa. She set Lily down to the right of her so Lucifel could climb up on the sofa to the left of her. And then then they could both settle in for 'story time'.
"Have you ever heard the ABC song?" Tori asked as she opened up the book.
"I sing it! I sing it!" Lucifel giggled and clapped. She was still very proud of that accomplishment.

Lily shook her head. "Few times?" she commented. THe tot hadn't quite memorized it though. Mommy didn't sing very much and she preferred the star song instead.

Victoria flipped a few pages into the book. "This is the letter A," and she did like she had done with other tots and her sister... she took Lily's hand and with her finger traced the letter A. "A is for apple." She pointed to the apple.
"I like green apples," Lucifel giggled. It based on taste it was purely based on color.

"Very good Lily," Tori clapped. "Another one is Alligator."
"... an angry," Lucifel giggled. "Like when I not get my way..."
Victoria rolled her eyes as she softly chuckled. She flipped the page. There was a very large blue B centered between the two pages. Around it were various pictures to represent B words. "B," she took Lily's hand and traced it. "Some B words include blueberry, blue, baby, ball, and balloon." As she said the words she point to the pictures.
"Boy also Tori," Lucifel snickered. "You like those!"
"..." Victoria was speechless.

"Butterfly." Lily added with a quiet nod, trying to end the uncomfortable moment from when Lucifel started teasing Tori. The older girl had to read the book more!

"Good one Lily! Butterflies are very pretty," she praised Lily, before flipping the page.
A nice big, black C where on this page- again with surrounding words that represented the letter. She did as previous and used Lily's hand to trace the letter. "Crown, Cat, cake, and cookie are some C words," Victoria smiled. "Kings and Queens wear crowns."

The letter reading continued as such, Lily sometimes quietly suggesting words and agreeing with Lucifel when she suggested things. It was when they reached the numbers that things got odd.
"What letter is that?"

"The alphabet consists of letters. Letters make words." Tori smiled as she explained the difference between the two. "What we are looking at now are numbers. Numbers tell us how much of something there is, how old we are, or how much we have to pay when we buy something."
"This is the number 1," she took Lily's hand and traced the number one. "See, there is one apple," she pointed to the picture of a tree with one apple.
Lucifel who hadn't quite grasped the concept of numbers herself was attentive as she explained things to Lily. "One apple," she chirped.

"One Apple." she repeated quietly before looking and pointing, "One Lily. One Tori. One Felfel."

"Those are some very good examples Lily," Tori giggled. "You know every person is unique. That means that no two people are alike."
"This is the number two," she said as she pointed to the number two. "Can you tell count the bumble bees?" She knew she had already give the answer but it was the fact of counting yourself.
Lucifel who could at least get this far was bursting at the seems to shout out the answer. However, she knew this was for Lily so just squirmed in her seat.

"one, two." the girl's voice was quiet as she poked at the page. "Two bumblebees." There she was pointing again. "one two - one tori, one felfel. two sissies."

"You're a quick learned," Tori giggled as she pulled both girls into a hug. "Three comes after two. There is 1 LyLy, 1, FelFel, and 1 Tori. That makes three!"
Still very close to the girls she maneuvered to point to the three on the next page.

Lily smiled, hugging on both of them before nodding and tracing the three. "Three piggies." she said, pointing to the little pink creatures on the page. "Build three housies."

"I like the three little pigs story," Tori chuckled and clapped praise for Lily's good job on pointing out the piglets. "Perhaps next time when you visit we'll read that book.
"This is..." she started.
"...four," Lucifel giggled and clapped excitedly. She had finally reached the point of not being able to contain herself as far as answering things went.
