A Perfect Circle (now my favorite band) has a whole album for you guys, called "Emotive." Best introductory: Revisualized version of their previous song "pet," called "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rythym of the War Drums.""Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rythym of the War Drums." I mean, seriously, it is literally like a song about this whole faction. Seriously. Don't fret precious I'm here. Step away from the window. Go back to sleep
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils, See, they don't give a ******** about you, like I do.

I’ll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons I'll be the one to protect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son They're one in the same, I must isolate you… Isolate and save you from yourself …

The Masters Of War - Sage Bob Dylan :0) Come you masters of war You that build the big guns You that build the death planes You that build all the bombs You that hide behind walls You that hide behind desks I just want you to know I can see through your masks.
You that never done nothin' But build to destroy You play with my world Like it's your little toy You put a gun in my hand And you hide from my eyes And you turn and run farther When the fast bullets fly.
Like Judas of old You lie and deceive A world war can be won You want me to believe But I see through your eyes And I see through your brain Like I see through the water That runs down my drain.
You fasten all the triggers For the others to fire Then you sit back and watch When the death count gets higher You hide in your mansion' As young people's blood Flows out of their bodies And is buried in the mud.
You've thrown the worst fear That can ever be hurled Fear to bring children Into the world For threatening my baby Unborn and unnamed You ain't worth the blood That runs in your veins.
How much do I know To talk out of turn You might say that I'm young You might say I'm unlearned But there's one thing I know Though I'm younger than you That even Jesus would never Forgive what you do.
Let me ask you one question Is your money that good Will it buy you forgiveness Do you think that it could I think you will find When your death takes its toll All the money you made Will never buy back your soul.
And I hope that you die And your death'll come soon I will follow your casket In the pale afternoon And I'll watch while you're lowered Down to your deathbed And I'll stand over your grave 'Til I'm sure that you're dead.
[1] If you would like to listen to this song then doing a search with the term "Bob Dylan's MASTERS of WAR (1963) ~ A Song For Our Times", on -http://video.google.com will net you some results. Please note though, some of the music videos may contain images depicting the aftermath of war...If you are easily offended then it may not be appropriate viewing.

Tourniquet Static I'm a useless member pretty much, but... I found a song with great lyrics that suits us... and just thought I'd provide it... It's called "Smoke and Mirrors" by a now-disbanded group called "The Receiving End of Sirens." Since 1776 by I Am Abomination. I think these lyrics are also perfect.

Pink Floyd-Dogs
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking. And after a while, you can work on points for style Like the club tie, and the firm handshake A certain look in the eye, and an easy smile You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to So that when they turn their backs on you You'll get the chance to put the knife in. You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older And in the end you'll pack up, fly down south Hide your head in the sand Just another sad old man All alone and dying of cancer. And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone And it's too late to loose the weight you used to need to throw around So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone Dragged down by the stone. I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze? Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner And everythings done under the sun And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer. Who was born in a house full of pain Who was trained not to spit in the fan Who was told what to do by the man Who was broken by trained personnel Who was fitted with collar and chain Who was given a pat on the back Who was breaking away from the pack Who was only a stranger at home Who was ground down in the end Who was found dead on the phone Who was dragged down by the stone.

Just started listening to Sons of Liberty - awesome lyrics/message! Thanks so much for sharing.
I used to be huge into punk music.. there are a ton of bands covering similar messages this guild would appreciate.
Rock Against Bush albums.. (1 & 2) are pretty awesome. Anti-Flag is pretty obvious.. Propagandhi.. Bad Religion (although I've heard they're pro nwo? I don't understand that, but whatever... everyone pulls different info from music..) Dead Kennedys/Jello Biafra etc etc
Maybe one day I will go into more detail.
I'm liking this thread though - a lot of great new music for me to listen to ^^ (when I have time.. :/ )
