I'm waiting on confimation on my charrie from the Drow game DM, I PMed his a fair few days ago and never got a reply. I've got the basics down for him. Just need to add in items and skills. Nothing to stressful.

If iPedo is taking the magic user route. I belive I'll rumble with this Warlock, Barbarian.

I'm having trouble with the stats though, cant really have anything too high. Hard to work with low stats on a Gestalt game. I'm gonna look into see if I can "Weapon Finess" an unarmed strike XD

Easiest way to be anyone? Changling and go Chamelion from Races of Destiny. So much to do n.n

good spell casting from Wiz and all Divine soures. Once you get dule class mimicing, god help those against you =3

The goal here, which has been achieved, is to be able to walk through an antimagic field in front of a 5th level guard elf with +1 wisdom, alertness, and 4 cc ranks in spot, who sees the queen walk by every day, and have this person have a 0% chance of noticing that it's not really the queen.

Character sheet to be posted soon. Do they go in this thread, or somewhere else?

Wow, okay, try to answer everyone's questions before school.

What I meant by sonic was the fact that most of the episode consists of someone screaming his head off. I don't mind if his hair turns gold during a rage, as it's purely a cosmetic and comedic effect.

You'll have to give me a little time to find a way to get that magazine. Please spell Magazine out though, because I thought you were referring to the Dragon Magic book. I'm like, okay, page 319. Wait a second, there's only 180 pages... But go ahead and use it for now.

There's an entire subforum for character sheets. Just post them there, and I'll have a post where I'll link to all character sheets.

Well, there will be a city council, to manage city affairs. Dragons who play the Great Game are not allowed on the council as they might manipulate the council to their advantage. There are a few dragons on the council, but most of it is comprised of other races. It's divided roughly in half, one half comprising of long living races, elves, dwarves, dragons, etc., and the other of short living races, humans, halflings, etc. They're responsible for the long term survival and short term success of the city.

I'll check the character sheet out.

I'm understanding that the point buy currently isn't very good for gestalt, so I'll probably increase it a bit. Or maybe I'll use the system my brother told me about... We'll see.

Alright, I'm looking through and I need to know where you're getting some things.

Garment Bag of Holding
Ring of Bluffing +5
MW sewing kit

I'm also counting 73 skill points being used when you should have only 72.

Your abilities seem to be using 31 point buy rather than 25, but don't worry too much about that yet as I'll most likely be changing the amount.

You've got some bonuses to Disguise and Bluff that I need to know where they came from, just because they're so high.

Disguise: [10(Minor Shape change) + 2(Skill Synergy-Bluff- only to acting in character) + 2(???) + 3(Skill Focus)]

Bluff: [5(Ring of bluffing +5) + 2(Changeling racial bonus) +3(Skill Focus) + 3(???)]

Please seperate the feats you're not getting from classes in a separate column please.

Character flaws and traits are allowed.

The Garment Bag of Holding is a normal Type I bag of holding, except it's used (and probably shaped) like a garment bag.

The Ring of Bluffing is not a specific item, it just uses the skill bonus formula (Bonus squared × 100 gp), and uses the ring slot because rings are small and inconspicuous. It's like a ring of swimming, or jumping, except to bluff.

The masterwork sewing kit is an "artisan's tools" item, specifically for use with Craft (tailor).

The abilities were done as follows:
Value (cost)
Str 11 (3)
Dex 13 (5)
Con 9 (1)
Int 13 (5)
Wis 13 (5)
Cha 16 (10)

Middle Age applies a -1 to all physical stats and +1 to mental stats. The bonus point at level 4 was put into Charisma, naturally. Also, now that I look at it, I only spent 24 points...I'll wait to add that in in case we get more.

Looks like I overspent one skill point. I'll drop Sense Motive to 4.

The extra +2 in Disguise is a masterwork equipment bonus, as she spent more than a fifth of her money on various outfits and articles of clothing that aim to cover the spectrum of things that people wear. It doesn't stack with her Disguise Self cleric spell (since that changes clothing appearance anyway), but it does stack with her racial ability, since that has no effect on equipment. In the proper outfit, with shapechange, she feels and sounds like she should too, unlike with the spell. That might fall into "house rule" territory, but it's a pretty conservatively done one. If it isn't acceptable, I'll spend the money on something else, perhaps.

I forgot to list her familiar: a snake. It gives her a +3 on Bluff checks. It is almost always staying warm under her clothes somewhere.

Let me know if any of those things aren't acceptable. I'll be posting a bio/backstory at some point.

I don't think 1,999gp worth of clothes would fit in a type 1 bag of holding. Considering the fact that a disguise kit is 50gp for 10 uses, and you're spending about 2000gp on it, I'm willing to work something out. Let's say that it also contains cosmetics, small props, as well as lots of jewelry, and signet rings for disguising as nobles/royalty. Those have lots of high gold to weight ratios. I'm willing to accept the +2 bonus, seeing how it could be achieved with a wondrous item costing 400gp.

I was thinking about that, with the snake, but wasn't sure.

Ring is fine, as well as the sewing kit

Ummm, those stats add up to 29 points, not 24, however...

STAT GENERATION, THE FINAL UPDATE!!!

Ability scores start at 8. You'll have 36 points to put into them. 1 point increases an ability score by 1. Max ability score of 18, before racial adjustments and ability increases from level. This will give you a total between 9 and 12 for ability modifiers.

This may be a bit overpowered. However, it will allow you to get good scores. And It'll be fairly simple to upgrade monsters if you plow through them with relative ease.

29...Major mathematical brain faaaart. My mistake.

On the plus side, the ability score changes mean I don't need to worry about how temporary increases affect bonus spells per day. On the negative, I need to rebuild my skills with an extra point each level. UGH.

As far as 2000 gp of clothing fitting, royal garb costs 200 for 15 lb, and there's probably a few of those (carefully picked to be as mix-and-matchable as possible, of course). The rest should fit fine. Prestidigitation takes care of color changes, and hemming too! And the craft skill is there largely to make alterations.

One other thing. How much would you charge for a small concealable pouch, to be worn around the waist under clothes, that functions like a Heward's handy haversack, but only holds about 5 lb. instead of 120 total? I could really use a little body pouch like that for scrolls and spell components. It'd take some work to retrieve items depending on what I'm wearing over it (probably at least a standard action, more for formal-wear).
PostPosted: Mon Apr 05, 2010 2:58 pm

Well, Prestidigitation only lasts for one hour. And not all your clothing is going to be royal if you're going for a master of disguise. You'll need a few different outfits of each type.

Considering the fact that a type 1 bag of holding should be about 150,000 gold based off the rules I just got from you, I'm not quite sure about price value, But lets try this

Least amount it could hold would be about 10 cubic feet, about a third of a Bag of Holding Type 1, just divide by three and we have about 850gp base.

Add a few other features and you could have.

The Pocket of Holding

This pocket is identical to a Bag of Holding in all respects with a few added features

Weight: ---
Contents Weight Limit: 25
Contents Volume Limit: 5 cubic feet

This pocket can be removed and added to different clothes. It also automatically will change color to match the clothes, or a color of the users choice.

Wondrous Item; CL 9th; Leomund's Secret Chest, Prestidigitation, Stick

Market Price: 1,000 gp

Just stick it to the front and let a hankie hang from it.

Not to be too picky, but would it be possible to get that item with 1/5 that capacity, for half that price? Ideally, I want the handy haversack feature where the item you want is always on top. The haversack gives you one 80 lb. pocket and two 20 lb pockets that always give the right item, and only costs 2000 gp. All I need is 5 lb., 1 cf. Can I get that as one of those morphing pockets for 500 gp?
