Sera nodded and looked away, outside into her back lawn. She had moved here to Arcadia for the express reason of keeping out of things like this. Situations like this always got messy and emotional in the end. "And what if I choose not to help you? I seriously doubt that you're annoying enough for me to use my powers. But, I am glad that the fame of General Seraphe Arceneau has reached even your ears." Then, with a sigh she stood and washed her glass and put away on the drying rack, then she walked past him and onto the patio, beckoning for him to follow her. She sat down in one of her white wicker chairs and gestured for him to the same. Then, looking around at her estate fondly, she said, "Forest Seravi, before I even think about agreeing to this, I want you to understand the weight of what you're wanting me to do. You are trying to force me out of my retirement and enter back into that silly game you call politics so that you can get some closure? They have graves for that, kid. No, you want me for my connections and for what I know--I can understand that. And yes, I do know who ordered the elimination of your mother, but you are not understanding the full prospect of that event. Your mother was part of a top secret laboratory that was labeled under "Special Interests" in my files. The truth is that she was part of a team performing experiments on different species on Pan, attempting to create hybrids. The colonel that ordered her death had a... personal tie to that incident." Sera exhaled slowly.

Forest inhaled, the unfolding of information she knew, about him, his name, his mother, her job, her killer, coming out of her mouth was a scary thing for him. He wasn't used to anyone understanding him, or knowing one thing about him, he watched her as she spoke what he's wanted to hear for years. When she finished, Forest sighed, he was tired of being treated as a helpless and stupid child. "All you have to tell me, all you have to say, is the name. You don't need to get involved with any of this. I'm not trying to make you do anything other than help me, and I promise I will never break down your barriers again." Forest grinned, "Unless you want me to." He stared at her expression, the angry barrier was all he had seen before, but now, as he had the chance to look more closely, her sadness was all he could see.

Sera shook her head sadly, "You obviously don't understand what these people are like. They'll hunt you. If you kill one of theirs, they'll hunt you down or hunt down whoever is close to you. Then, they'll kill you after finding out who told you. I don't want that man coming within a continent of my land." She rolled her eyes crossly, "He's like a friggin' curse on the land." She turned back to Forest and said, "Also, your affinity is for nature, right? That man kills nature. His very presence is like plant killer. Ugh. It's hell on Raven. I resigned from the Demon army for precisely the reason you are asking me to mix back in for. Even the information I've already told is lethal to both me and anyone I'm around. You must realize, Forest Seravi, that when you venture out against the Demons, you endanger anyone you touch. You endanger anyone you talk to. Whether or not you know them doesn't matter to them." She looked away, her mind on the many years she had spent as one of them. As one of those cold-blooded, heartless monsters. She closed her eyes to wipe the horror away. Then, suddenly, she stood and prepared to go back in. But, before she did, she said to Forest, "I will not relinquish the name while you still haven't collected your head in this subject. You may leave or stay--with Raven of course--it doesn't matter to me. You can't rush into these things, Forest. Take it from a strategist going on 1500 years." She said with a bitter smile. She waited for his reply.

Forest felt angry again, maybe he didn't understand about the ways of some angry demon, but she didn't seem to be understanding him either, "I'm trying to listen to you and understand you, but you need to listen to me. Those demons made the choice of getting me involved with this the minute they took my mother from me. You also don't seem to understand how far I've come, but how little I have accomplished. I don't care if some demon kills me, its not about that, its about finishing what i've started. For my mother. I'm staying here. I've been ready to get into this since the day I left my home, my family, my future, and my life behind me. I won't be scared so easily by another annoying demon, my mother sure as hell wasn't." Forest took a breath, the rampage had helped him release some anger, it had been impulsive for him to stay here, but he hadn't intended on leaving till he got what he wanted anyways.

Ruby had gotten scent of him when he ran by but he was already inside and with Sera by the tiem she got there. Sera could probably do worse to the guy than she could really. Ruby wwas a assassin, tho she could do close combat, she didn't excell at it. She slowly walked aroudn the garden in a long bordeom. She hummed her song again and the plants began to bloom again. She walked under some cherry blossom tress. A breeze brushed by, some of the pink petals from the trees fell down, Ruby giggled. Having to brush some off of her as she walked down the path.

(i gotta go eat dinner be back on a bit. biggrin ) Sera sighed. She was clearly understanding him... truly. "Forest, if you truly wish to go through with this, then I will lend my hand. But, something this catastrophic will send the Demon military into chaos, and as a former ally, I cannot allow that. We will execute this in the most discrete way possible, okay? We're going to do this my way." she said, her military face turning to stone once more. Then, she heard him agree to stay with her. She turned to go back inside the house and do some research, but then she turned to him. "You'll be quartering with Raven. His house is on the other side of these gardens... Just follow Ruby's scent. She's almost to his place by now." she said, sadness creeping into her eyes once more. Then, without another word, she turned and disappeared into her ancient house.
Raven walked out of his brick house. Another day. How stupid. Another day on that hateful woman's estate. Another day of dependence. He almost gagged. He hated it here. He hated the sight of that woman. He hated her house, her scent, and her kindness. She had been so patient with him ever since finding him unconscious in the woods. He hated the way she cared for him like the mother everyone wished they had. He had everything about her. If he hadn't been so weak, then he would have left long ago and never looked back. Suddenly, he saw movement in the garden--the only thing he enjoyed seeing in this God-forsaken place. It looked like a werecat, but her scent was like that woman's. Perhaps she had been with her. His walls immediately went up. "What are you doing in my gardens?" he growled. He hated strangers, too.

Ruby was walking down the small path, and spit out a petal that flew into her mouth when she laughed, which just made her laugh more. Her ears suddenly perked up and she jumped slightly when she heard a voice. She quickly turned around. Her almost glowing orange eyes stared in the direction of the voice. Her humming had stopped and the plants that had been blooming greatly just stopped when she did. "I was told I was allowed to wonder through the garden. Why do you ask?" She said, in a blank voice. Not showing any emotion as usual with Ruby when she met strangers. She tilted her head to the side curiously after asking her question. Her tail flicked back and forth, her ear twitched every once in a while when a darn chereyblossom petal fell on her ear, making it involuntarily twitch.

The moment Sera had said she would help him, Forest was itching to get started. He couldn't focus on one thing besides his previous conversation. He didn't really know what else he should do besides going over to visit with Raven. He returned to his little dog form, running along the beautiful gardens, thinking that anyone who was able to produce such a magnificent yard couldn't be bad at all. Forest took a deep breath, and rejoiced in the present moment, he had finally learned a little piece to the giant and complicated puzzle that had been forced upon him. Forest didn't realize it, because it had been a very, very, long time since he had felt it, but for the first time, he was full of hope. Raven could wait, Forest let his mind wander through the beautiful evening, and the incredible presence he felt with nature.

The woman's words just made Raven so much more pissed. What the hell? She was trespassing. His eyes narrowed as he heard that she was told that she was allowed. Stupid, f***ing Sera. That woman always found a way to ruin his day. All he wanted was to be alone in his vulnerability. Was that too much to ask? "I ask because this is my garden. I know that woman must have told you to walk through the gardens--knowing her you're probably some stray she picked up--but all of the gardens at least ten feet from this wall behind me are mine." Raven said, pointing to the edge of Sera's land behind him. His voice was getting more and more agitated as he kept speaking.

Ruby's eyes grew wide, and her pupil turned to slits. She jumped up, and poked him angrily in the chest with her index finger. "I think you need to keep you're mouth shut, boy! I am not a stray. Do I look like a ******** stay to you. I can kill you with practically with a blink of a eye. And she didn't tell me to. I like nature and this place was beautiful. To bad a beautiful place was made and kept that why by a ugly attatide boy." She said. "Hmph. " She said and turned around, her tail hitting him as she walked down the path. Humming her song so the plants bloomed.

Raven cursed as the woman got uncomfortably close to him. As she proceeded to cuss him out, he tried not to roll his eyes. He got such threats from anyone who came into Sera's gardens. This critter was no different. He just exhaled with exasperation before calling after her, "Yeah? Well, keep your non-stray butt outta my gardens. The ones near the house are Sera's. Go kill some diseased animal over there," he said, waving her off. He just wanted some peace and quiet.

Forest had heard the little dispute between Ruby and what Forest had assumed to be Raven, the gardener. And based on what he had heard, he was not friendly. It seemed like going over to introduce himself wouldn't be a fun experience. He just didn't see how he'd get around it. Putting it off could turn out worse, so, Forest collected himself, back to his human form, and set off to Raven's house across the gardens. Upon arriving, Forest took in the beautiful brick house, crawling in vines and flowers, the natural beauty radiated off it all. The little house resided amongst the breath taking gardens, and Forest became hopeful yet again. Living here would atleast be beautiful. He spotted Raven kneeling in one of the gardens, he was careful to stick to the path of stones along the grass. "Hello, you're Raven correct?" Forest was trying to be friendly as possible, "I'm Forest, I'm currently staying here under Sera's permission, she said I would be quartering here with you." Forest smiled, waiting for the gardener's response.

Elphida Roux stood in the large gazebo draped with satin curtains just outside her mansion over looking lake Kuroi-Hoshi. Her beautiful white and gold-tipped wings slightly ruffled in the soft breeze. Coming from her left, Elphida heard the small argument of her neighbor's gardener with some other unknown voices which made her uncomfortable, conflict just made her think of the warring lands above with even more discomfort. Tomorrow she would visit Sera to make sure every thing in her neighbors household was going alright.

Adrian Volkov saw his mistress in the gardens looking--as always--over into the backyard of their grand neighbor, the former General Seraphe Arceneau. His black cloak swept the young grass under his feet as he walked towards her. He wasn't a big fan of coming out into these sun-drenched gardens, since he always seemed like he the only spot of darkness here. In the military, undercover, at least he had partly fit in. They had thought that he had simply been cursed somehow in order to earn his night black wings, but he had simply performed a terrible sin in the Angel colony and his wings had become tainted. Now, almost 500 years later, he's serving one of the brightest stars in the Angel royal family, the guilt of his stained self attacked him everyday. Now, he didn't dare walk onto the stark white gazebo for fear of leaving behind shadowy footsteps, but called to the Duchess Elphida Roux, "Mistress, why don't you just go visit her if you're worried." he suggested. She could sometimes be a little round-about in her concerns.

Watching Adrian approach with his daunting look and billowing black cloak Elphida smiled to herself. She had grown to really care for her body guard over the 500 years of close quarters. "What a lovely idea Adrian, I just hope I won't be bothering her. Shall we make cookies to bring over to her?" A warm smile lit up her face at the idea of visiting her neighbor, they hadn't spoken in a while.
