Tai started to answer her, in fact he had his whole witty response planned out, bombproof, and ready to let loose...
"OTAIKIMMIO'TOKAAN!"
That voice. It stopped him dead in his tracks, especially coupled with the threatening hoofbeats and the use of his entire name. "Uh oh.."

Fwoomph!
Before he could even ask Yei had allowed herself to topple to the ground and was now lying upon the battered trail with her mane strewn untidily around her delicate neck. Not only that but for added measure she had closed her eyes and had her tongue stuck out in the hopes of looking as though she had either:
a. Collapsed.
b. Been knocked out.
Granted, she was about to mess up her coat something chronic but at least it would give Achak something to do in the mean time if he needed to clean her coat!

Visibly startled, Tai didn't have time to feign his vanquish of the terrible red foe, or even make himself look a little scruffed up. And by the the time his brain even registered Flame's presence, the large red-gold stallion was already in front of him, breath steaming from his flared nostrils in the chill mountain air.
"Tai, my very dear pupil..." he began, until he caught a glimpse of Yei sprawled out on the ground. "What on earth is going on here!" Flame cried, starting forward.

Stay still, stay perfectly still and he won't noticed that you haven't got any bruising.
She gave a tentative, shuddering breath and ensured that her eyes remained shut in her apparent struggle for air but made no other attempts to move. It was at times like these when she was deligthed with the fact that she hadn't yet been groomed and thus looked as though she had been dragged through a hedge and back.
Perfectly still...
Another shuddering breath and she gave a whistling yet soft whine from the base of her throat just to avoid being prodded in case he thougth she was dead.

Still frozen in wide eyed incomprehension of what was happening, Tai could not gather any of the excuses he had spoken about earlier, or even play off the start given him by Yei.
But Flame was not at all interested in hearing from the young stallion, and flat out ignored Tai when the brown-gold soquili finally said something. Instead, he stopped a hair's breath away from the prone red mare and studied her critically for a moment. Then he glanced at Tai, who was still babbling about finding her in the forest and very much unmarked himself, then back to the mare, who seemed to all outward appearences...just a little dirty. With a snort he lightly brushed her cheek with his nose, intending only to sniff her and call for help if necessary.

Oh, oh, oh!
Her eyes scrunched slightly as his muzzle touched her cheek and she felt the warm snort and tickle of his whiskers. She might have been a good actress but there was only so much she could take and after a few moments she released a weak giggle and seemed to twitch her cheek away from his muzzle before opening her eyes.
"You're not very good at this game, are you Tai?" She enquired finally as she lifted her head and flashed a wry smile towards him and then Flame.

*Esperanza sighed as she layed under the tree that shaded her eyes. Her breathing was hard. She had no luck at finding her missing herd and she was growing dissheartened. She kept her head alert..But her body just wanted to sleep*

Whistling lightly to himself, Tai brushed aside a low hanging branch that blocked his view of the path ahead, inadvertantly de-perching a lone bluejay. Understandably, the bird scolded him as it took flight, and Tai flicked his ears in response to the racket before continuing on his way to the wild apple orchard.
