SLY

It almost laughed at the old man's speech, but instead it decided to find the second to inform her. However, what it had found was not what it had wanted. Failure in the man who was to be an assassin was what it found. It did not appear to them, rather it hid as shadow itself and contemplated killing the stupid one on three occasions. It restrained itself, watching instead and seeing what the two would do. As soon as the man appeared before that which symbolized the power of Darkness, it integrated behind him and followed him in utter silence until he stopped. Then it touched him through his heart, the emotionless sting of firey pain coursing through him. This was no touch of knowledge, rather one or warning. It spoke to him. "Your stupidity will cost you later. Should you attempt to think of doing anything that hinders this endeavor, I shall personally break physical bounds and make you regret it."

When it finished, it dissipated and rushed to the side of the First. It visually scowled at the assassin, then turned its emotionless gaze to the old man. "What are your first orders, Sir?"

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji walked away from the audience chamber. He smiled slightly, he knew he could get into the audience chamber and the throne room anytime he liked, and that fit his mission perfectly. He had been hired to take out the Shadow, but he had been ordered by the Shadow to kill members of a Warrior council. Koji slaughtered the three guards outside the chamber as he left. He wiped the knife off and stepped through the portal. He had also noticed that there was a magical barrier that prevented portals to the throne room, but you can use them from he room. It would be the easy part to escape, but the hardest part would be to get in. If Lilith was in the room when he arrived to kill him, he would have no choce but to kill her too. He grimaced at that as he arrived on top of a building where he strung his longbow and prepared an arrow, a minor member of the council was here, and he had to die.

Lilith

Lilith took a temporary relief from searching for any traces of the Warriors, whom might not even be alive. She desired to present herself to the new Shadow as his second in command. Of course, if he didn't want her in that possition, she would step down and allow for somene else to take her place without struggle. He was The Shadow. The Master. His word was her law, and his desires her mission, just as it had been for The Shadow that preceeded him.

From a portal of swirling opaque plasma of black and purple she emerged, stepping from the non-existant area in between into the throne room. She raised her eyes to teh empty throne. Was he not there yet?...But yet, what, or rather who, was this person who stood below the stairs that were the path to the throne? He was not a grunt, his essence was too strong and commanding for that. She did not recognize him, and he seemed to eminate the same dark power as...

It was him. Slowly, each step tender as though she was afraid a sudden movement might break this trance, and she would find it all a dream, she moved towards him. The blood rushed to her head and made her mind reel with confused thoughts. It was The Shadow, they had a leader. But it wasn't the same one, it wasn't any sort of reincarnation, or at least it didn't seem so. She had mixed feelings, but in the end she knew that she would follow him like the one before.

"Master," she spoke as she aproached. She knelt several feet before him, her head tilted downwards. "I am Lilith, your humble servant, and second in command to your predecessor. If you wish, I will serve you as The Shadow before," she said.

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji stepped over bodies and looked at his target. The room, no, the whole mansion was quiet. He retrieved his throwing knife from the target's solar plexus, and wiped it off with the man's face. He looked around, trying to piece together the last five minute through his rage. He had been blooddrunk. Not only that though, he had slaughtered every inhabitant of the mansion, slaughtered, their entrails clogging gutters and hallways, the stench unbearable... for one unaccustomed to death, that is. Koji sheathed the knife and inspected himself in a mirror. Doused in blood as he should be. He stepped onto a window sill, and closed his eyes, remembering.

He had fired the bow, hitting a bodyguard, but as soon as he had fired he had dropped the bow and dove in through a first story window. None of them had suspected a thing, not even the maid as he had slid his knife through her rib cage, not even as he unleashed a hellstorm of dark magic, killing many. He had walked through blood slicked halls and murdered all in his path. He had stifled a scream from a concubine and slid his blade in next to her spinal cord and jerked the blade, up and through her skull, throwing aside the mutilated body like a sack of wheat. He had found the minor noble cowering under his bed. He had grabbed his hair and dragged him out, nailing him to a wall with knives and slaughtered each man and woman as they stood transfixed by the sight of him screaming. After the last soldier had fallen, Koji had thrown his knife into the dying man. The assault had lasted six minutes, then it was over.

Koji jumped off, falling into a portal that he had opened. He arrived outside the Shadow's castle. Koji hid his disdain once again as he brought a vial of the noble's blood as proof of the kill. He saw Lilith kneeling before the man, but ignored her. He marched in and tossed the vial to him. "Proof of the kill. If it pleases you to make sure, send Lilith to where I killed him, she knows my handiwork well enough." He stood there waiting. Normally he would have had to kneel, but he had no ounce of respect for the Shadow. If it hadn't been for Lilith there, he would have completed his other mission right then and there, and killed the Shadow. Fortune spared him for another day.

{{Ok, but was that post for the Shadow, or another character?}}
PostPosted: Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:20 pm

((It was for the Shadow. It's his only character. Sly is the one that called the New Shadow into being basically, cuz berfore he was just a hermit and... well, if you want to know you can read what you missed, but yes, he is the Shadow))

{{Cool, and he's online, so the Shadow can attempt to put Koji in his place...}}

OOC: I am fairly sure I am The Shadow, for I only sent in one profile, but yeah... If I am not The Shadow then I have been playing the wrong character...

Galbrix

The throne was a difficult thing to look at, for The Shadow had been quite a man, one Galbrix respected beyond measure... but he couldn't help but feel some sort of pride in fact he had gained this position. After all, it isn't everyone who gains control of an entire army hellbent on destroying the human race. A portal opened behind him and he sensed the dark energy eminating from it, yet he still didn't take his eyes away and continued to stroke his long, white beard. It was only after the woman had spoken that he turned and reguarded the striking woman. Her face turned to the ground, Galbrix could not see how her face was made out... so he felt uncomfortable... but her voice sounded true enough.

The next thing to happen was the assassin. Before he knew it the man had thrown a vial of at him, which Galbrix caught, looked at, then dropped to the ground. Why doesn't he kneel? he found himself thinking maliciously. Then again, who would kneel? He cleared his throat and spoke to both of them in his withering voice, "Whose is this? I do not recall asking for any 'handy work'. I can only hope it was a hit against the humans... And as for you," he turned to Lilith, "I am glad you have chosen to continue The Shadow's work... now my work..."

Galbrix recalled Koji and Lilith, remembering that they were avid followers of The True Shadow... so he could only hope they would both follow him. He continued, "We need to have an elite army ready by this week's end. I expect such. These Warriors' reincarnates are in the world, or so this... creature," he guestured at Sly, "tells me. We will take them down before they ruin us all."

Lilith

"I have been searching for any traces of them Master," Lilith explained, tilting her head towards him, then standing. She reasoned that since he had aknowledged her and accepted her, it would be persmissible to rise in his presence. "They are untracible as of now, but once their powers are unlocked, we will be able to feel their essence. From that point it will just be a matter of destroying them."

She threw a quick warning gaze towards Koji. One that said -try anything and you'll regret it.- She had failed the previous Shadow, allowing herself to be bound in the stone, but this one she would protect with everything she had. She would not fail again. He would not die again. Something inside of her suggested that it would likely mean a future battle against Koji, but she wouldn't jump to conclusions. If the new Shadow proved to be efficient and powerful, and she was sure he would, than Koji could very well respect him and obey him... only time could tell.

KOJI KASSHIN

{{Sorry, I didn't know anyone was playing the Shadow, I shall stop doing things that are the Shadow's orders if they weren't posted, sorry.}}

Koji glanced at Lilith, then back to Galbrix, "a minor noble's blood. And for the elite army, ask Lilith, I kill every soldier who sees me, shadow soldier or warrior. I can't afford my identity to be known, my lord," he said the last bit with a slight condescending twist. He drew a knife and threw it at a guard hiding behind a pillar, splattering blood on the marble floors. He walked over to the body and retrieved the knife. He turned on his heel and strode towards the door, "Shadow, some day I may kill you, but I'm sure you and Lilith realize I'm too valuable an asset to try to kill," he turned back around and pointed at Lil, "and I won't hesitate in killing either of you if it comes down to it. Watch yourself kid, 200 years of assassination doesn't work in your advantage if I turn on you." He walked out the doors, once more killing the guards who had taken the old ones' places. The bodies had become a common sight and no one asked. Good, I am assured victory when I fight him.

Galbrix

Koji was a problem, but what was Galbrix to do? If he were to cut Koji off then Galbrix would be focused too much on his own protection. If he continued to let Koji kill then soon he wouldn't have an army... Some thing must be done, so he turned to Lilith and demanded hoarsely, sputtering constantly, "Koji must quit our army... unless we want to fail The True Shadow's quest, along with all of ours. I don't know, but from what it seems you two have close ties, so I ask of you to calm his rage."
