"Staring at it won't get the herbs into your system." Commented Kincaid as he looked at Mersi. "That tea will help you move sooner. Unless you like to be mostly paralyzed like that?" He stood and moved about the room tidying up the last of the plants before tossing the sizzling remains into what looked like sparkling water. Golden eyes glinted in the firelight as the herbs flashed against the purifying liquid placed there long ago.
Kincaid breathed in and let out a soft breath. Smelled like clean air to him, so it was good. "Plants can have uses after all, do you see that now?" He finally asked looking back at Mersi. Who was strangely silent, but he blamed the herb's affect for that. What else would be making her look so?

"I'll move when I'm ready to move." She hissed through stiff lips, still reluctant to ingest anything more of his creation. Her eyes flicked over at the flashing liquid. She hadn't seen a flint or anything... but suddenly the air seemed sweeter. Not as thick. "Nope. Still think plants have no use." She grumbled sarcastically as her jaw muscles loosened, slowly lifting her arm to stretch it out and staring off to the side, still unsettled from her previous immobility.

"Alright, have it your way." Kincaid's gaze slid over Mersi and the foxtaur repressed a small sigh. There was something he could do, but she was already mad enough it seemed. No need to tamper with things and make her even madder later.
"Well I tried." Replied Kincaid lightly as he watched Mersi. The urge to smirk was there though he just shook his head. She understood now, and he hadn't even shown her anything too drastic - well maybe paralyzing her was a bit much for a demonstration, but still.
"Want me to help?" He finally asked while moving behind her. His fingers brushed against the muscles in her back and he pushed firmly in circular motions. "I know some massaging techniques." That should get the blood going. Kincaid really didn't understand personal boundaries as he experimentally moved his fingers up and down Mersi's back and neck.

Mersi focused on flexing her muscles little by little, trying to be subtle about her rate of improvement. She risked a glance at the male... Stupid handsome jerk. Her eyes widened at Kincaid's offer, all too eager to decline, but her body delayed in responce, and his hands were on her shoulders. Her entire body tensed even more so than before, even as her mind admitted that it felt pretty good.. That wasn't the point! "Did I say you could help?" She grumbled, though the relaxing vocal chords made her sound more like she was just saying it more than the scolding tone she had intended. She crossed her arms in a pout and noticed that, perhaps, he really was helping. Fine. Let him dig his own grave. She still planned to break something on his face.

Kincaid's hands kneaded into Mersi's back and he gave a satisfied smirk as he felt the muscles of her lower back twitch. That was a good sign. He kept massaging Mersi's back and couldn't help but to chuckle softly at her faint grumble.
"Really you have to admit that it does helps a bit." He whispered, daring to move closer so that his breath touched against the back of her neck. His hands massaged down near her hips as he added with a sigh, "Too bad you couldn't resist the herbs, let alone bounce back quickly." Kincaid shrugged, "Though I have to admit you are doing a good job for your first time being exposed to such things."

The skin touched by Kincaid's warm breath raised in responce, but it was uncertain whether it was a pleasurable or defensive responce. Maybe both. Haunches twitching as the male's hands moved around, Mersi forced her hands to stay still a moment longer. She'd be fine in just a- What did he say?! Too bad she couldn't resist, and too bad she hadn't recovered quickly?! What. Was he saying she was... weak? That was crossing the line, even more than his hands were. Even more than his lips had. She managed to let him finish what he was saying before her lip curled into a snarl. "Quicker than you think." She shot back as her elbow popped up from her side, aimed back at Kincaid's face. She had her paws underneath her, ready to jump up and gain the higher angle.

There are definitely no more hints of the herbs paralyzing affect. Kincaid noted as he reeled back just in time to save his face - or well at least his nose. "Hey!" He flinched back away from Mersi and winced. There was definitely going to be a bruise on his left cheek now.
Scooting back, Kincaid swung around and pushed himself up quickly. One thing about having a big family full of energy was he had learned to move fast. Flames hissed as he brushed past them and backed away towards the storage area. "What was that for?" He finally asked staring at Mersi uncertainly.

Feeling a connection, a sour grin lifted Mersi's lips. She was going to teach him a lesson! She was on her paws, hands in fists as she stomped after the startled male. "You dare to let me come here, paralyze me without warning, kiss me, touch me when I couldn't so anything about it, make me feel like, like, ARRGHH!, ((rough translation = vulnerable)) and you have the gall to ask what that was for?!" Her fist raised, ready to take a swing at the male, knocking a few things off the wall as she charged forward.

"Hey now!" Kincaid frowned at Mersi and shook his head, "You wanted a demonstration and how else was I to get the remedy in your body? Jeez! You act like that kiss was something important - wait a second...was that your first kiss?" Kincaid blinked at the female and sighed. He remembered how much Reisa ranted about kissing being important to others, not that he cared to worry over it. He especially remembered it as Mersi raised her fists and charged forward. With a groan he tried his best to move out of the way and then saw the things float through the air as they were knocked from the wall.
"Don't!" Kincaid cried out and dived towards the fire in a failed attempt to save the mix of herbs that fell into the dancing flames. Oh boy. His nose wrinkled at the foreign smells that came from the fire in smoky waves filling the room. Kincaid cursed softly and moved to try to waft the aromas from the room, but ended up tripping over some more things that he had knocked over and landed on Mersi.

Mersi's cheeks flushed hotly. She hadn't cared much about kisses, but that didn't mean she hadn't wanted her first one to at least be with someone she liked! "I'm sure you could have found some other way." She growled, rounding the fire to hit him from another angle. To hell with his plants! Let them all burn! Remembering the last plant he had burned made her pause, eyes slidding over to the sealed door and missing Kinciad falling toward her. The next thing she knew, she was on the ground with one arm pinned underneath her and the male's full weight on her body. The fall had knocked the breath out of her, making her gasp for air... tainted air. "Get... off!" She wheezed out, her legs kicking for leverage to push up.

"Well sorry." Kincaid fought the urge to roll his eyes. Forget about remedies, least he do something wrong in helping someone out. Leave it to a female to worry about kissing. "I'll make sure to remember to throw a solution at someone's mouth after prying it open with my hands next time instead of a simple kiss." He muttered.
"I'm trying." Kincaid pushed himself off from Mersi just enough to free her from his weight before another scent got his attention. Unlike the blurring others, he felt that this one was sweeter yet more discreet. His stomach clenched as his body reacted against his wishes. Looking down at Mersi, Kincaid whispered in a faint husky voice. "Mersi...we - we may have a problem." His hands were hot against her arms and the touch tingled through his body.

Free of the weight, Mersi hungrily inhaled the air. She only barely noticed the flowery hint it bore. She pressed her free hand against Kincaid's chest when he stopped moving to try and push him off. But then... the feel of his skin... Her cheeks flushed from more than anger now, having abated to irritation that was being challenged by a different feeling. Her eyes glared up at the male, but catching those golden eyes unwittingly softened her own. "What problem?" She growled, but it wasn't quite the growl she had been aiming for.

Kincaid stared at Mersi as he tried his best to control his ragged breathing. The more he looked at her, the more he forgot about the warnings flaring up in the back of his mind. His body felt heavy and strangely not his own as he refused to back away from the female.
His hands itched to trail up her arms and feel the softness of her skin. Was he even in control of his body anymore? He couldn't tell...Kincaid shook his head groggily before hearing Mersi's question. "I...you...aromas..." He couldn't get the words out clearly as he kept getting distracted by other things.
"Mersi." Kincaid wanted to warn her, but instead found himself kissing those warm lips with far more vigor than before. And so it began.

Aromas? What aromas? Mersi didn't even remember where she was, far too distracted buy Kincaid's glossy hair and smooth skin. Acting on its own accord, her hand trailed around the masculine chest. "You..." Her eyes blinked quickly, trying to figure out what was going on. But, it was so much nicer to look into his eyes... Aromas... "Jerk." She said, her last word of concious effort before Kincaid sealed her lips, sealed her fate, the two of them equally lost to the powerful scents and desires.

Darkness. Kincaid could see nothing when he woke up, only feel. His arms tightened around Mersi's warm stomach as he tried his best to remember what was going on. Vaguely he could recall something that went far beyond a kiss - that happened more than once thanks to the powerful suggestion of that smokey mess from last night.
Kincaid coughed, his throat was parched and his body ached. A hand ran up his chest to find several scratches and the fox blushed. Oh no. His eyes closed and with a frown of intense concentration he had a candle jump to life and light others.
Bruises ran along both of them and he couldn't help but to flinch. Even if he was lucky enough and Mersi forgot everything...the marks of what had happened were there. Kincaid winced. You couldn't pass off bite marks and dark, round bruises definitely made from kissing as a fall down the steps. Especially if he shared them. His hand touched his face, tenderly probing the tender skin from the punch. Kincaid figured that it was the only normal bruise on his body. Though he feared that when Mersi woke up it would soon find companions.
Talking about Mersi. Kincaid gaze went soft as he ran a finger lightly down her face. When she was sleeping like this...she looked almost gentle. Innocent really. He smiled and couldn't help but to give her a light kiss before pulling back. The question was...should he move even though she was lying on him still? Would he wake her up?
Slightly fearful, Kincaid decided to stay still. But he couldn't just stay and face a death sentance...yet he couldn't just leave her like this. He was no coward. But maybe she would need some time alone before being able to talk with him. They'd definitely need to talk. With a sigh Kincaid untangled himself carefully from Mersi's sleeping form and after arranging a pillow under her head and some fruits to eat along with a washcloth and bowl of fresh water Kincaid went up the steps to face the early rays of dawn.
