"They've invented the Mirror of Galadriel..." Emma muttered under her breath as she watched Remus come back in.
Both lord and lady were still standing beside each other, eerily still and suspiciously quiet.
Going through...Emma could see her own reflection in the Window. Like a mirror-no! She couldn't afford to think of it that way, the fear was already creeping up her spine and she could not afford that. Not this time, not when Kaok was at stake.

Chris smiled a small smile when Remus came in.
"That's what I like to hear. Lets go save Kao--" Then Chris remembered what something.
"Oh...SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIT" She groaned. "I don't think I can risk the baby...Even if I tried..." Chris felt pathetic. How could she not do this?
Kaok was in danger and she could only think about herself.
"I...Could it hurt the baby...?" She asked James hoping he would say no.

James turned to Chris, "You weren't planning on going in... were you?"
Evros smiled to himself. Ha. I always saw it that way. Mirror of Galadriel...
"We'll just have to enter the Window, Imperator. We'll find Kaok's other half and she should be fine once we can combine them again. Where do we look first?"
He pulled up each of the images it had shown the Faun, one by one, it would've helped if it could have shown them in order, but it didn't seem keen on doing that. There appeared to be a forest, a nice house, the interior of a space ship and a dark room.
"I think we should perhaps pick the scene that a Faun would most like to enter, it'd be probable that she went there." The doctor suggested.Someone told me theres a girl out there

"The forest, I think." Emma said, a little more loudly this time than her previous whisper, looking up and seeing Hrothbert nodding in assent. "For a Faun, it seems most likely. For Kaok as a whole, no...but this half of her might be attracted there."
There was a scholarly tone to her voice, purposefully put there. If she could view this as an experiment, she could do it. If she could detach it from herself-
Not possible, was it?

Chris nodded fiercely.
"Of course I was! Kaok is my friend and she's in danger! I only just remembered that.." Chris trailed off.
"Kaok has helped me through lots of tough spots. Helped me with lots of things..It's about time I do something for her!!" Chris seemed hell bent on going in..Except.
"What if it hurt the baby Chris? What would you do then?"

Remus nodded in agreement with Emma. The forest seemed like the most logical place to search for a faun. The image of the dark room was slightly discomforting and Remus hoped they wouldn't have to enter in there.
"So when we enter this Window, does our entire physical being go through or just our minds?" he asked.

James gave the doctor a pleading look.
"Your entire physical being, I'm afraid." Malcolm nodded. "Which is why it may not be wise for Ms. Debla to enter if there will likely be any physical confrontation."
After configuring the machine, the window would show the forest again.
"Uh... you, you there." The doctor pointed at the human, who looked up from idly cleaning up some broken glass. She still didn't have any sort of name she answered to. "Your things are on the counter."
He gestured to a small pile of clothes - still no shoes, obviously - and Kaok's sheathed sword. The human took them and as the others were getting ready to go, discreetly put them on behind a turned over table.
Dr. Evros' fins contracted again. "Ready to go in as soon as you all are."Someone told me theres a girl out there

She mumbled. She pulled him outside and glared.

The Imperator was a little reluctant to enter the Window. After the incident at the Bainbridge Estate, Remus replaced all of his mirrors in the palace with digital Ultra-Def screens.
"I'll go through first." Remus said, despite feeling a little nervous about doing so.
((That's right. Rome has Ultra-Def while the primitive Earthlings are stuck with Hi-Def. Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah naaaaah!))

Their fingers laced together as enchantress and sorcerer held hands, waiting with all the dignity they could muster.
Which was fading fast.

Remus waited for James and Chris to return. He was standing by the Window, looking into the basin of water. Even though it was just water, it had a vibe that made Remus a little bit uneasy.

The human girl stood back, Evros gave her an encouraging sort of nod, which didn't seem to help all that much. She stared at the sword on her belt as if it were something completely alien.
I hope I don't have to end up using this.
Meanwhile, Evros was loading ammo into an old pistol that he'd bring just in case.
James' brow furrowed, he was angry on the outside, but he just didn't want her or the child hurt. "Fine. But if you go, you have to promise me that you'll stay out of any fights we might run into."
Cairndeer re-entered the lab, Chris following, a determined look on him.

It was a testament to how nervous Emma was that she was practically clinging to Hrothbert, holding on to him with a seeming desperation.
She was trying to hold onto a lot of things. Her sanity, her powers, her dignity, her calm...but she was seeing flashes of the past every time she closed her eyes, even to blink, playing out on the backs of her eyelids.
