Our show is called "Radio". It goes through the many genres of music. It starts off with classical (tchaikovsky symphony #4), then goes to pop (party in the usa, crazy in love, poker face), then jazz (sing sang sung), and finally our closer which is a disgustingly awesome drum corps version of Thanks for the memories. The whole show sounds awesome, plus we gained a lot of low brass for the great low bass lines that our director writes, call me a band nerd, but I want it to be band camp already.

As of now, our next show is going to be called "Bach for the new millenium". However, that is still up in the air to change. We have three movements which are based off of Bach's Fugue in G minor, Toccata in D minor, and another piece I can't recognize.
The neat thing about the music is that EVERY instrument/section has a moment to shine, so no one's left out. This year I'll be playing mellophone which I'm super excited about (I've been a trumpet player my past two years in marching band).
All in all, it's a great show. We have yet to see the maneuvering that occurs, but I think it will be awesome.

I don't like our show. We're playing Welcome To The Jungle - Guns N Roses, Poker Face - Lady Gaga, Monster - Skillet, and Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi.
The name of the show? Pop Rocks. Because we're playing one pop song and 3 rock songs.

The Breath of Life from Inspire Music. Including: Mvt. I - The Wind Mvt. II - The Earth Mvt. III - The Water Mvt. IV - The Fire
Original, right? xD My Director will probably change the whole theme again. Last year we got Reflections of the Blue Fronteir and it ended up being 'Water Course' by the first week of the season. xD Oh well.

Two years ago our show was called Construction of the Earth in Four Movements Mvt.1-Air Mvt.2-Fire Mvt.3-Land Mvt.4-Water

Ive seen some amazing themes for shows here. But my band director is soooo STUPID! Last season he changed his mind about a couple of songs during the middle of band camp. This year he siad after he gave us our FIRST music peices that he would not change his mind. That show was going to be "Music Behind The Mask" it included: The Mask of Zorro, The Mask, The Incredibles, and Phantom Of The Opera. Then he changed his mind again. Now he's changed his mind for a third time. This time no one knows what music it is. Some people think its going to be a latin theme. I hate my band director.

That sounds a lot like the UNH show I saw last season!! It had a bunch of different songs, but I remember it because they played Linkin Park 8D
stickyfeet - You get to play Skillet?!? I am so jealous of you right now.
We're doing a Stevie Wonder show. ...?

My band's show is Ode to Joy. Opener is Ode to Joy from Beethoven's 9th Symphony (shocker!), ballad is Amazing Grace, and the closer is a "Joyous Medley." We haven't gotten the music, but the BD has talked about drill sets he wants to do, and they sound pretty cool. (A diamond, one leg breaking off at a time & raining down the field, and then recreating the diamond) But overall, this show seems pretty lame to me. Our old BD was talking about doing a Jazz Show! That would be awesome, but no...!!!

OHS Marching Bucs are doing a show titled "The Proper Ornaments of Life."
It's based on music by the free Design, and it'll include songs like: Kites are Fun (Cos they are), Umbrellas (The props are looking awesome for this), The Music room (Apparently, we're starting in a music room set up?), and The Proper ornaments of life.
Apparently, we're going to have awesome new uniforms, in which the woodwinds go from solid white to solid hot pink and the brass go from solid white to solid lime green. (According to drill numbers. I.E. WW1-solid white and WW22 -solid pink.)
