Fordon itched the stubble on his chin before saying "Are you going to stand there or are you heading inside?" he asked before giving a nod to the guard. "come on you two i think Mai is inside cooking" Fordon said sniffing the scent of food on the air. He had to admit Mai could cook pretty dang well. The thought of seeing her lit up his face and for a moment he lost his appearance of evil. coming to his senses he looked at the kids then gestured to the door. "well?" he asked

Reading the look in the girl's face and he tried to act nice. Holding up his hands to show he meant no harm Fordon said "You know the laws of Kiri i would not harm a fellow shinobi of our village nor do anything that would hurt any alliance with the hidden Rock. i know we really dont know each other. Im Fordon Cordell special Jounin of the Hidden mist. i live here along with Lord Luo-sama. i am a good friend of the family. Trust me come inside and get some food." Fordon did not know really anything about the girls but he would read up on them later. Making a mental picture of their faces and mental note he looked back down to the girls. Fordon nudged the girls inside without touching them. Inside Mai was just finishing some Kare Raisu and Yakitori. She smiled the second she caught a glimpse of Fordon. As he came closer she dropped what she was doing and leaped into his arms. she gave him a kiss and he put her down. "listen i cant eat now but these kids need some food. ill be back later and ill try to bring big brother Luo-sama" She started to frown as she had missed him dearly and had not been able to spend any time with her beloved. since becoming his girlfriend it seemed like her and Fordon had not had a chance to spend anytime at all together. putting a finger to her lips Fordon said "Dont worry ill be home later and we can spend time together then." turning to the girls "you two play nice and aunty Mai will look after you and see that your fed" With lightning speed Mai cracked a wooden spoon over Fordon's head "ouch! what was that for?" He asked rubbing his skull. "Aunty Mai? im not old! im younger then cousin Luo!" "sorry love! listen i really do need to go i just need to stop by my room." He gave her a peck goodbye then darted down the hall to pick up some of his hidden weapons. moments later he left the house unseen. her anger subsided as she looked to the young girls and said " i hope you to are hungry" with a tender warm loving smile on her face. Mai took the dishes and set two places at the table for the girls. going back into the kitchen she set aside two servings of food for both Luo and Fordon so they could have some when they got home.

Fordon's clone departed from the compound in shadow and moved in a blur of motion but he was sure to bolt his door so the girls would not get inside. he had even gone through the trouble of hiding his most dangerous tools so well that he was sure even if they got inside they would not find them. at the same point he left some extra kunai and other basic tools out so no one would be suspicious. Fordon sped on wards back to the beach

meanwhile in the house Mai called out from the kitchen in her lovely kind voice "are you all finished? do you need seconds?" She was busy cutting things in the kitchen but could still hear any response to the question. He chef's knife made quick work of the vegetables he had to cut for tomorrows lunch. in her mind she considered the applications of her research on the hero's water of the hidden waterfall village.

"Ok" Mai said sweetly as she came walking back in and picked up Emily's dishes then she looked at Kari "are you ok? you have not even touched you food." Mai saw something was defiantly wrong with this girl. "do you need medicine?"There was the urge to hold and comfort this child but Mai had a sense that would only make things worse."tell you what ill get you a nice big glass of juice ill be right back." taking the dishes from Kari too Mai went back into the kitchen only to return a moment later with some dark red juice. setting in front of Kari she said "here drink this. i put something in it that should help with nerves." Mai started walking away then said "if you girls need me ill be just down the hall in my room. my door will be open." Mai smiled her sweet smile then said "i hope you feel better." just before she walked out of the room. Mai was a dang good medical shinobi so she was positive the drug she put in the drink would relax the girls muscles and nerves. she didnt put enough to knock the kid out but she did put more then enough to take the edge off any nerves.
