Quote: Chuunin Katon: San (Fire Release: Three) Description: At this stage of learning, users of this technique are expected to be quite adept at controlling the flow of chakra in their body. It is by this that they are now able to both create ample amounts of chakra and distribute to both hands (still only two fingers per hand). The actual heat effect of this technique, though, still hasn’t changed much from Katon: Ni. Also, awkwardly enough, the user is still unable to have the technique travel throughout one whole hand. Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique) Description: A jutsu that sends a stream of fire towards the opponent, originating from the users mouth. In some cases it has been seen to take on the form of a dragon. Capable of being used like a flamethrower, prolonged exposure has been known to transform boulders and cliff side’s into molten piles of magma. Note: Chuunin for three post's, and Jounin for five. As mentioned before, strength of the flame and prolonged exposure can prove devastating. Katon: Kyuuka no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flame Sphere Technique) Description: Quite different from the other various other Katons in Leaf’s arsenal, this one instead is a defensive jutsu. Quite easy to learn, it is also performed much differently from other jutsus. Using the body as a heat source, the user molds chakra to amplify it and make it entirely visible. Then the user expands it, using more chakra, and takes on a red, spherical shape. This shield is used as a defense against both ninjutsus and taijutsus. It isn’t very powerful, though, and can only parry at most one technique before deactivating. A drawback to this jutsu, though, is based on the body’s temperature. If the user performs this technique late in a fight they risk fainting due to both a drastic change in body temperature and already stressed body levels. Aimi Himoto Genin| Leaf l Sharingan l Uchiha Clan l Ninjutsu Class  Aimi took a deep breath as she light her fingers on fire. The same heat she always had be able to do: two fingers, one hand. She focused her chakra, trying to augment the heat which rose within her.
With a little push she managed to ignite her index finger on her other hand as well. A similar heat to what she could do before, now three fingers. She felt something more, she could push herself to complete it. This was a piece of cake.
With hardly anymore focus, Aimi managed to ignite her middle finger as well. Four fingers across two hands. The controlling of fire came fairly simple to her. 3/3
Aimi then readied herself for what had looked to be the largest flame she had needed to preform yet. She pulled chakra into her lungs, forming her hand signs as she felt the fire growing more than she had allowed it previously.
With the release of the jutsu came out only a large fireball which flew against the back fall and covering her scorch marks from yesterday. She'd held her lips wrong and lost command of the jet of flame. But she wasn't going to give up. With a little more focus she readied herself again.
Aimi reared back a bit as she finished the tiger seal. She opened her mouth like she was letting out a roar. With a woosh of the flames a dragon of fire shot from her mouth. The heat from the blast was intense as she tried to hold it. After the dragon vanished from the room Aimi looked rather pleased with herself, yet there was a spicy taste in her mouth. Huh... weird... 3/3
She then took a defensive stance as she felt her chakra flowing within her body. She began to breath slowly as she felt herself growing warmer. She made a tiger seal and concentrated as she forced the chakra out of her body on all points.
It was laborious at first, trying to force the chakra from her body. But it grew easier in time. She practiced pushing it out and recalling it, each undulation of the chakra shield grew further and further. She was sure she almost had it.
With one last push, which was at this point becoming nothing more than a mere thought, she expanded her chakra into a sphere around her body. She could feel the fire of it, she felt safe inside her little bubble of death. It was almost cozy. 3/3

Quote: Katon: Shouidan no Jutsu (Fire Release: Incendiary Technique) Description: Recently developed, this technique is much akin to the Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu in a few ways. Using almost the identical set of seals, the user instead coughs out globs of what looks to be silver-tinged mucous. These flammable, gelatinous balls can be scattered along any area and even on other people and are highly combustible. Anything from the slightest spark can ignite them and set off variable explosions based on the level of the shinobi as well is leave a lasting flame going. Note: Chuunin can set a 4m – 5m radius ablaze. And Jounin are capable of kindling an area of approximately 5m – 10m. Katon: Hidoko no Jutsu (Fire Release: Bed of Fire Technique) Description: Defensive or offensive, this justu is simple enough to have many uses. Heaving a mighty breath, a shinobi will spew an oily substance in front or even around them. It will rush forth like liquid and ignite as soon as the user wills it. The effect is obvious enough, resulting in a carpet of flame in whatever manner the user provided. It could be in a cone laid out in front of them as an opponent is rushing forth, or it could be scattered across a weapon. Katon: Kita no Jutsu (Fire Release: Aerial Explosion Technique) Description: A different version of the Katon: Hidoko no Jutsu, this jutsu releases a gas into the air. This is an odorless, colorless gas that can be ignited with any spark or flame. This gas will rapidly ignite, causing it to expand and create a strong wind in all directions. The outer gas is shot out, and ignites when it has expanded at a range of around 20 feet. Anyone within the range of this jutsu will be seriously injured and probably suffer at least a first degree burn. Aimi Himoto Genin| Leaf l Sharingan l Uchiha Clan l Ninjutsu Class Aimi smiled at that thought, half the chuunin katon would be under her belt. She started out with last jutsu as the others seemed to go hand in hand. She took a deep breath before exhaling. There seemed to be something in the air, and she could smell it, but it did nothing.
So she tried once more. This time the product was a bit better, but the gas did not expand in the way she wanted it. It caused a small wind to blow back at her as the gas ignited in air.
One final try was all she needed as she released the gas from her mouth. She could see the gas as different opacity in the air. She released a small jet of fire from her mouth as it expanded to its rightful size. Aimi managed to jump back as the explosion let loose a small conflagration only inches from her face. 3/3
Aimi thought this next one would be easy! She did her high signs quickly, but instead of the oil she shot her dragon breath. She'd forgotten; ram THEN tiger. She laughed at her stupidity as she readied herself once more.
She completed her hand signs quickly, this time coughing as she seemed to choke on something. This was anything but a good feeling, having flammable mucous in your throat is seldom enjoyable.
After forcing down the glob she tried again. This time managing to force the slime from her mouth, yummy!, and scatter it across an area. She then snapped her fingers and watched the floor go alight. 3/3
Aimi tried to focus on this next one. It was slightly different. She need to put an ignition source within the oil, yet keep it from burning until she willed it. She thought deeply, taking her sweet time with this one.
Aimi then crafted the hand signs slowly, doing them over and over as practice makes perfect. She wasn't even going to attempt it, until she was absolutely sure she could pull it off with ease.
With a long breath to calm her down she began the seals. After her final seal was finished she opened her mouth. This clear substance flowed forth from her mouth. It poured over the ground around her. Aimi had one word in her head as she finished:burn. And burn it did. The oil ignited into a beautiful flame that any would be her teacher would be proud of. 3/3

Quote: Katon: Shi (Fire Release: Four) Description: Much unchanged from Katon: San, the most noticeable change here is the strength of the heat effect set off by the user’s fingers. Now able to melt through various objects of higher density than glass (not including metals), the only drawback is that this intensity is only attainable through one hand at the moment. One could compare the effect of this technique to being stabbed with a searing hot kunai. Essentially, this is just a much more combat effective version of Katon: Ni. Note: This technique cannot be stacked with Katon: San wherein both hands can be used at the same time with one hand stronger than the other. Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Powerful Fireball Technique) Description: Uses a high amount of chakra which allows the user to breath out a large portion of flame. Katon: Nenshou Tosshin (Fire Release: Burning Rush) Description: A two-part technique that acts much like the Katon: Kyuuka no Jutsu. With the same seal sequence as the a forementioned jutsu, the dragon, ox and hare are added at the end and the technique changes from defensive to offensive. As the customary sphere surrounding the user appears to fade out, it instead sweeps back and wraps itself around the user in the elemental shape of flames at the arms and shoulders. At this, the user finds themselves temporarily invigorated. Note: This jutsu is both defensive and offensive, both blocking attacks and acting as one itself. Aimi Himoto Genin| Leaf l Sharingan l Uchiha Clan l Ninjutsu Class Aimi focused the flame into her hands. Her fingers ignited as so many times she had done before. The heat grew as she tried to force all she did for San into one hand.
Four fingers... one hand... It shouldn't be this hard! She breathed heavily as she pushed. The fire licked her ring finger on her right hand as she focused the fire.
She was so close she could almost taste it. It was just barely around her knuckle. She had been doing it wrong this whole time she realized. It was still two fingers!
The flame she was spreading on three fingers she focused on two. Her index and middle grew hot from the intensity of the tiny flame. She'd read ahead to the next stage in the book, she couldn't wait to master Go. 3/3
Aimi filled her lungs with chakra as she began to prepare for a very fun jutsu. She moved through the seals for the large ball of fire, but she missed her cue after the last sign and released a bunch of chakra from her mouth, nothing but a waste.
She took a bottle of water from her pack and drank about half of it down; shoot fire from one's mouth is thirsty work. With that small refreshment she tried again. She cracked her spine backwards to limber up a bit more as she focused her chakra in her breath as she did for so many of her jutsu.
With the tiger seal finished she released a large blast of flame from her mouth. It was strange... almost looking like it was solid. As it hit the back wall it exploded into a conflagration of sure joy for her and would be terror for her enemy. 3/3
She was breathing a bit heavier after that last one. All these powerful jutsu were taking a small toll on her, but she could atleast finish this last one before she took a break. She preformed the seals she alread knew by heart and watched as the flaming sphere surrounded her. She then practiced the jutsu withing the sphere, doing it several times before she built up the chakra for it.
Aimi continued practicing the jutsu but it was strange. This would would be the first one she used where it used chakra from outside of her body and it would be a feat if she could get it right the first time. She closed her eyes, clearing her mind and calming her breathing as she waited until she felt like it was the right time
Her hands moved quickly a she formed the seals. With the ox seal as her finale the sphere swooped back to her shoulders and arms. I looked like she had wings of flame sprouting from her back almost. She was over joyed at her ability and with little thought she raced around the room, leaving a trail of fire in the air as she went. 3/3
As the flames disappeared she stopped in mid stride. Now she was tired. Aimi turned back to Crono, "Thank you for all the help.", she said as she dropped to the floor, her knees weak from the overuse of chakra. She closed her eyes and held her chin to her chest as she heaved, trying to regain her composure before standing.

She let out a little moan as she stretched her arms high over her head, grabbing her elbow with her hand. "That's much better! Alright then... lets keep going."

Katon: Kaen Hisame no Jutsu (Fire Release: Incinerating Hail Technique) Description: By focusing their chakra into their hands, the user can then lift them skyward and create a salvo of small fireballs that will rain down all around them, incinerating anything they touch. Since the fireballs have no solid state, they can only do damage by burning things.
